Braverman said Labour cut the levels of police. But it was the Tories that did it. There is not a record number of police officers. Its replacing the officers who were cut in 2010.
Braverman has got a bloody nerve trying to dodgd the bullet. Cannot answer the question Just blaming the opposition. Lies lies Braverman. Change the subject at every opportunity
She paid the speeding fine from her £4m wealth AFTER she was told she couldn't get the tax payer to pay it for her through her expenses which last year were over £181,500 on top of her £155,800 salary
@@walkaz Tory MP William Wragg says she asked if she could claim speeding fines on expenses when she became an MP in 2015 (at the same time he did). I don't believe she tried to do it this specific time, but she did enquire about it, insinuation she's had a ticket for speeding at least once before. She should have know the answer to that was "No" before ever asking it given she's supposed to be a barrister.
@@gazzagasco speeding, and then she might've broken the Ministerial Code which is legally binding rules ministers have to follow, by asking her civil servants to see if they could get her out of the points without attending a public speed awareness course.

At least Truss had the decency to fuck off, and she's the one who had the intelligence to get rid of Braverman. I know, super low bar, but she did two things right. Then Sunak brings her back...
Mate its not lack of awareness. It's the arrogance of ALL MP's for sure Tories are worse, but believe me when Labour are in charge, you'll get the same BS. It's a all a game and bullshitting and being thick skinned is all part of it.
its not more police its a better quality of public servant, they are being sacked by the busload, but can always show up for someone with a camera phone in large numbers.
You honestly don't want them to. They're desperate so accepting anyone now. I know 1 and he's a coward, obsessed with collecting weapons and friends with a know paedo from his church. He fits right in.
It's getting sickening to keep hearing Tories talk about getting on with the job and delivering for the British people.. the only thing they've delivered in 13 years is misery. The last GE people talked about just how bad things would have be if Corbyn won the GE, I think the reality is far worse than even the wildest of NatC's fantasists.
@@ezmaniac What the OP was saying is that there was widespread distrust of Jeremy Corbyn and certain factions exploiting the age old Tory narrative that Labour would bankrupt the country by over spending.
It beggars belief that this is the calibre of politician in the ruling party of the UK presently. No morals, no regret, no principles, no humility. We really are scraping the bottom of the barrel.
Oh we went well past the bottom of the barrel long ago. Boris broke through it, now we're about to take a nice swim in the mantle. I won't be surprised if we're at the core by the time the General Election comes around.
Depends on how weak Sunak perceives himself to be. If he's got a pair, she'll be gone soon but I doubt he'll really want to do it with the gathering storm within the party and (hopefully) at the ballot box next year.
slapped? not really, a token objection from a limp lyndsey she did it twice the tories pull that crap regularly, they do it because limp lyndsey does nothing.. he allows them to do it
"I'm delivering a record number of police officers" Yeah well in the last four years we have had... - Serving Prime Minister breaking lockdown rules (that he created) - Serving Chancellor breaking lockdown rules. - Serving Health Secretary breaking lockdown rules. - Serving Prime Minister not wearing a seatbelt. - Serving Home Secretary speeding on the roads. No wonder we need more police. I don't remember a time in history when we had serving cabinet ministers getting in trouble with the law let alone five misdemeanors in less than five years. I'm almost nostalgic for Theresa May's chaos. At least her cabinet never broke the law.
It honestly enraged me when she rolled out the priorities of the British people bs line. We all know its bollocks whenever they say it, but to have the audacity to use that as basically a ‘shut up and ignore my inappropriate behaviour’ is truly outrageous.
Getting really sick of using “the priorities of the British people” to avoid accountability, no one should be above the rule of law, least not the chief law enforcement official

@@chrissilver7719 Well, she did mention the small boats. No doubt she was on her way to let Boris know about Corbyn and his evil plan to unleash COVID on the world then invade Ukraine after swarming the Kent coast in a small boat, so she had to speed to get there!
"Mr Speaker, I think you will find it's all the Labour party's fault even though we have a huge majority and we have been in power for thirteen years." Clearly they can't defend their record, yet won't accept any responsibility for the failings of government under their watch!
The Labour oppose every good idea! They are the party who wanted the country run by Corbyn and Abbott - both racist anti semites. That’s a bit more serious than speeding!
She also actually lied and stated that police officer numbers were lower under Labour , instead of at the highest numbers we had ever had before the tories cut them .
@@tomround8271 not a single Tory has done a single thing to prevent grooming gangs, or see that they're punished. Literally nothing. 12 years of Tory rule and how many grooming gangs have been allowed to get away with it because of police cutbacks? Stop defending Tories you slimy little weasel
Look. Just let them do all the scandals they want, they're trying to get the job done! We've all had to break the law in very limited and specific ways to get things done! /s of course for those who didn't quite get that lol
She just l ied in parliament as well as breaking the law, labour did not cut the number of police, the tories did, we do not have more police officers than ever before, we may do at a future point however even this target is lower number as a percentage of the population compared to 2010 figures.
The only thing record breaking is the number they/re hiring at once. 20,000 to replace the 21,000 they got rid of. Along with them, decades worth of institutional experience. They did the same with the military when they came to power and cut 60,000 from the Navy and a bunch form the Army, mostly officers who would be coming up for retirement. So they basically shafted them by not letting them get their full pension after a literal lifetime of service to their country. Not to mention they scrapped the Harrier fleet and both of our carriers with their replacements more than a decade away. We've only recently got the carriers to replace them and are still waiting for delivery of the F-35's to replace the Harriers.

@@jjefferyworboys8138 why? As the person in charge of law and order in the UK she should be setting an example of how to abide by the law not trying to avoid the publicity of having been caught breaking it. I agree that the office she holds is important. She isn't. It is a privilege to hold a high office of state, not a right, but she is of course following the example of the prime minister before last by living down to the maxim "do as I say, not as I do". Two fundamental principles of a society moderated by the rule of law, which protects all of us, from the state and from each other, are that *no one* is above the law and that justice must be seen to be done. Her actions would seem to fail both.
@@stormsurge6765 I don't care about Cruella speeding, guaranteed I as a biker have done worse. She should be forced to stay their until she answers the question, I know that's what you do when you have to deal with children but that is how the tory party acts.
Almost in agreement. I think there should be an investigation and if it turns out she (yet again) tried to act like she's special, every single question in every single interview from then onwards should be "why do you consider yourself superior to other members of the public?"
