Right , i get my Walking-Floor direct from STAS in Belgium ! The best walking-floor i ever have ! Great System Guys ! I drive with them in Europe ! I haul everything with that Thing : Garbage , Corn, Bulk , Plastikgarbage ! I love that Thing !

Hi Bethel, I'm assuming you have a 3.5" aluminum slat, in which case the seal is the rubber piece between the slats, running the full length. It is there to prevent materials from "sifting" through while on the road. With an abrasive material like stone, over time it will grind up the seal while the floor is running. It isn't terribly expensive, but can be labor intensive to replace, though not too technically demanding.

We have a customer that is successfully hauling bluestone with the steel V-Floor slat. However, they had to modify the interior walls of the trailer because the bluestone was tearing up the aluminum walls. With aluminum slats, initially the seals between the slats will be destroyed by the smaller bits of stone. Over time, the slats will be eaten away due to the abrasiveness of the material. The floor will move the bluestone just fine, but we don't recommend it due to the damage it will cause.

We definitely work hard to minimize weight and maximize reliability in the WALKING FLOOR® systems. The V-Floor system is intended for those materials too abusive for standard flooring. We are introducing a floor we are calling the V-18. It has 18 aluminum slats in the style of the V-Floor slats and subdeck. It is lighter weight than the V-Floor system and more robust than standard flooring. We should have some video of the V-18 up soon.

Im going to try hauling the blue stone...the driver picked up the first load today in the Titan trailer with 32 tons! The bluestone isnt that big only less than an inch. I only haul a couple of loads a week not a lot.

also wat r these seals between slats? How much do they cost if damaged? I only have this equipment i cant go buy a v-floor. Please help me

@kdraper2007 makes sense. But, what can't a dump truck carry other than a liquid?

In bulk handling, they want an absolute minimum of weight for the highest cargo capacity, without getting a very expensive fine in one of the many weigh loops hidden in Dutch highways... So folks often buy an alu walking floor, and pack the wood with an excavator. the sidewalls belly out within some years, but the trade up value is less important than to haul the last bits too... Do you guys supply the Dutch walking floor trailer builders with your system too ?

Hey looks like i have the worst luck. So i picked up a load of bluestone yesterday. I came to the dumping place and the floor wont move........idk looks like im gonna have to shovel or escavate it out!

What will they think of next, this is very cool. No more dumper required.

Only with the V-Floor® System! It is specifically designed for heavy-duty applications. This kind of treatment would destroy the average moving floor.

Is this run by pneumatics, onboard hydraulic pump run by electrical power through the pigtail, or does this require a tractor mounted Hydraulic pump?

hey i own a 2005 Titan Walking Floor with the heavy duty walking floor slats but not the V-Floor. I just wanted to know if i could haul bluestone in them? because i dont want to fuck up my floor

Excellent, keep on stuffing them! Aluminum flooring works great with standard construction and demolition debris. Here in the U.S., "riprap" refers specifically to the large boulders dropped toward the back of the trailer in the video. The largest weighed over 900 lbs (410 kg), dropped from 10 ft (3 m). We don't recommend doing that to an aluminum floor.

LOL!!1! Nope, about 6-8 minutes, depending on engine RPMs.

Over here in Holland, they stuff aluminium walking floor trailers with construction debris all day long, not just once for the video.. :-p
