Keith should do episodes of “Keith Eats Everything At...” local restaurants owned by people. It’d be nice for those that are probably struggling due to COVID. Just a thought!
And Keith has been doing mostly nation wide fast food chains. Wait until he starts doing chains that are centered around certain cities. I'm waiting for him to do Portillo's which is a Chicago-area chain that has a few locations scattered outside of there. But he went to ISU and then Ned and Ariel lived in Chicago, so it only makes sense that this one is coming soon.
I think five ounces of sauce shouldn't cost twelve dollars, myself. That means one ounce of sauce costs $2.41. I get a 25-ounce bag of chicken nuggets for $3. That's TWELVE CENTS an ounce. I understand it's mainly a souvenir, a collectible doodad, more than it is a food item. But I legitimately buy hot sauces. I'm willing to try Keith's... But c'mon, man. That's just "You'll buy it cause I'm famous" price gouging and it disappoints me.
@@devodavis6454 considering how hard he tries to push it it only makes me think it's mediocre and you could get a better sauce for a third of the price. i would also like a hot sauce without the world's most punchable face on it.
@@devodavis6454 Yall gotta take into consideration the cost of manufacturing, whether or not it's being mass produced (hint; it isn't.) and then the brand name on top of that. And that doesn't even involve if they're sourcing ethical products and THOSE employees are making a livable wage. Your $3 bag of nugs is $3 because nothing about their production is ethical, either on the farm or for the people working in those farms. Quality products are generally more costly because of high quality ingredients, well paid staff, etc. It's not "you'll buy it bc i'm famous" prices it's "We sourced good ingredients and pay our workers a livable wage" prices. You're welcome.
As a former Sonic employee, I can imagine how rough this was. The food is good, but there is nothing on Sonic’s menu that could be considered remotely healthy or “light”
hi Keith i doubt you’ll see this but I’m currently recovering from an eating disorder and eating alone can be really difficult for me sometimes but these videos have really helped me :) thank you for being such a good virtual meal companion
His entire journey balancing food and exercise and still allowing himself off days (or weeks during quarantine) has helped my relationship with food and realizing health isn't about strain. I hope youre doing well
Former Sonic manager here :) 1. There are 4 different cheese/cheese sauces in this vid. Cheese tots and fries have sliced American cheese as do all the burgers. Chilli cheese anything has shredded cheddar cheese. The pretzel sauce is pre-packaged saltyness. The ultimate meat and cheese burrito has a premixed zesty cheese sauce specific to it along with the shredded cheddar. 2. The onion rings are made in the morning fresh :) they are sweeter than youd expect. Some stores batter and bread them by hand and some have a machine that assists. 3. The burger patties taste like McDonald's probably because they are nothing special. Frozen beef that is cooked on a flat top grill. 4. You are correct. The footlong hot dog is NOT a beef dog. Only the 6" dogs are advertized as all beef. 5. Fresh banana is blended up and then used in shakes :) there is a gross fake banana syrup on the menu which is what would be used in soft drinks as an additive if requested. 6. I think that "chemicaly" chocolate shake had too much syrup based off the look of it. Thats all I got ;) my go to drink is a strawberry root beer. Don't knock it til you try it!
@@doctornerd2007 Sonic uses real strawberries (arrives prepackaged sliced and somewhat blended) for flavoring. There is no strawberry syrup option. So, just say strawberry root beer and you get Barq's root beer with scoops of the strawberries :)
"God damn fucking circle fucks, 1000s of you little fuckers, every morning "Nick, can you do prep, you're so good at it" I swear I'm going to quit some day"
wow i’ve never gotten this many likes before but while y’all are here you should subscribe to my channel i make ASMR and i also have a vlog channel called Ashley and Jacob!
As someone who worked at Sonic all her high school life and 1 year after. There is 3 different kind of cheeses. Just Cheese tots or fries are made with sliced cheese Chili cheese anything is shredded cheese And then you have the nacho cheese in the tub packet thing There ya go lol
I’m a sonic skating carhop and I can tell you : yes cheese tots/fries use a slice of cheese while chili cheese tots/fries are shredded cheese The ultimate burrito is meat cheese eggs tater tots while the super sonic has all the veggies in it like the onions and jalapeños Some Sonics still have the sweet pretzel which is covered in cinnamon and sugar served with the cream cheese frosting You can sub mozzarellas sticks or onion rings for a side to any combo OR CHED R PEPPERS! You can get any burger on Texas toast We will make ANY slush or milkshake you want. I’ve had someone order a chocolate and grilled onion slush. We did it. Yes we do blend in real bananas for the banana shake Onion rings ARE made in house. 6inch hotdogs are ALL BEEF while the foot longs are not.
I worked at a Sonic almost 20 years ago and there were a lot of Add X buttons that could be applied to anything. X included all the slush flavors and drink add-ins, chili, cheese, bacon, etc. Had someone order a chili slush and another person order a burger without bun AND without meat, a salad in a bag... Anyway it's nice to know that the insanity continues and is still supported :D
Just got a sc memory from a year ago when y'all came to sonic and I got to carhop y'all! Thanks for making my day and being so nice, I remember it a year later :') I'm glad that my nasally voice gets to forever live on in this Try Guys video, and thank you Keith for the free hot sauce 😭🥰
@@francescabennet5222 like I use eat there like all the time but after working there i was just like.... nah!!! It's good but i know what goes on and i know that pot heads run the kitchen. 😅
If yall go to sonic please please be nice to the car hops, especially if they are on skates, some days id have to be on skates for 6+ hours and it sucks when costumers are rude
@@amadasamora2624 I feel bad now. I never knew because I always pay with card and there's no way to add a tip so it never even crossed my mind. I used to get a breakfast burrito and limeade all the time for "lunch" when I worked second shift near one and forgot to pack something. Next time I get over I'mma have to slip that girl a $20 with an apology. She would always load up the jalapenos because she knew I was addicted.
@@Guisoomo So? I got a breakfast burrito. No tots or fries. Normal sized one, not the supersonic, and added veggies. Sometimes I'd get 2 if I was really hungry. Limeade was the worst part of that and I didn't get it all the time. It's super unhealthy if you're getting their fried everything, dipping it all in ranch, and a massive soda with added candy to top it off, but even sonic you can make decent choices. This was maybe once a week, and I had a pretty physical job. There's also just not much open when I was trying to get lunch at 9 pm or later since my shift was 10 hours and started at 5 pm.
I must give praise to how this was filmed. A lot of "covid-19 friendly" youtube content has been sort of bad from other youtubers. But here the lighting was good, the sound was clear and you handled it well with the splitting up with cars
As a Sonic employee I can tell you that Becky was right. The cheeses that we use for the sides are all different. Although we technically have 4 different cheeses if you count the one we use on the burritos. And the foot longs aren’t all beef either, only the 6 inch hotdogs are. I’ve honestly never tried half of the stuff we sell but I’ve made just about all of it.
I personally prefer multi-meat dogs. That sounds weird when put into words, but all beef has never done it for me. This explains why I was never satisfied or really enjoyed the smaller ones, I just thought it was because I was a glutton, but there's a real reason to it lol.
@@Queenofthatank the cheese sauce for the pretzels is mixed with honey mustard i believe, and the burrito sauce is called “baja sauce” and i couldn’t even tell you what it’s made of 😂
Yes Theory: *Gets a random guy that looks like Justin Bieber to bite a burrito sideways* Everyone (including the news people): *Lose their minds* Keith: *Eats burrito sideways* The internet: "Yeah, that's sensible and normal. Nothing wrong with that."
Well to be fair, Keith is only taking one bite of the burrito, and the best spot to really get the flavour is the middle. Comparatively, anyone who would eat a burrito like that normally is obviously an alien.
Rowan the Valiant Honesty, a better strategy would be to cut the burrito into thirds and eat the middle portion if that’s the case. Like they must have plastic knives at sonic to do this, right?
I know he’s probably not just sitting in one of the sonic spots but I just imagine all the employees peeking out the window watching him talk to a GoPro and eating half a burger with each bite 😂
Okay so. I’m someone who works at a sonic. Technically Becky is correct. The cheese tots/fries are just sliced cheese laid on top and then steamed to be melted. The chili cheese is the shredded cheese. Then yes, pretzel cheese is different (I think it’s nasty so I use the honey mustard on the pretzel). But then in the ultimate burrito and the supersonic burrito There’s the zesty cheese. And it’s bomb. If you don’t like the pretzel cheese that they give you, it’s really good with the zesty. So there’s a total of 4 cheeses at sonic.
He used to get A LOT of "angry" comments about taking a bit like that so, I'm sure he was having some flashbacks and decided to say something ahead of time for those who either forgot or weren't there for the earlier explanation. that said, it still breaks me to watch him bite down the middle. lmao
As a former sonic Carhop - fair food is probably healthier and cleaner. Also remember to be nice to the carhops. Almost none of us have been properly trained to do half of what we actually do !!
this is absolutely true , i wasn't properly trained to do carhops and i was getting slaved basically while experienced workers slack off , so i quit my 1st month in
@@HardFraud better to quit a month in; I was there for half a year and was promoted to crew lead in 3 months at 16 years old. Terrible place, much happier at my new job, hope things are better for you now
I also worked at Sonic and this is 100% true lol. They would just throw totally inexperienced teenagers onto roller skates like "sink or swim buddy! good luck out there". And the inside of the restaurant is a total safety liability. It's exactly the same as the inside as any other fast food restaurant (pointy metal equipment everywhere, fryers, etcs) but you have people zipping around the grease covered floors at lightning speed on roller skates 😅
Mistreating minimum wage employees is cringe, always treat them as nicely as I would hope to be if I had to do such work. As someone who has done Secretary work most my life my jobs have been comfier and I don’t know what it is like to work so hard and be so under appreciated all day. So I try to smile back to them and be as nice as possible to them. I hope good customers help brighten an employees day.
Confession time: when I used to work at Wendy’s I worked in the back window meaning I was in charge of making bacon and I would eat so much of it, because it was so crispy and good lol
I would too tbh, the baconator is just so damn good whenever i go there. It's my guilty pleasure i never tell my family about because im at college lol.
Keith talking about Becky: *in monotone voice* “i love her. She’s my wife.” 10:07 Keith talking about the double cheeseburger: “OHHHH MY GOD IM IN LOVE” 11:09
I love Keith and Becky. You guys all talk about how perfect Ned and Ariel are together, but look at these guys. And then Zach and Maggie. And Eugene and Matt. They all compliment each other SO well. And you can tell how close each couple are, and they’re literally best friends with their significant others. All of them. Let’s appreciate all of the couples because they’re all 100% a goal we should all work towards achieving Love who you love, and love them well
You literally can't there are over a million combinations you can make. I worked there....I tried I kid you not 50,000 drink combinations....and that was over the year and a half I worked there. There is not end....no end to the drinks....
@@phloxxi7079 my coworker would make me different mini drinks for me to try and I would guess the flavors. I got really good at it. He would make me probably 50 on my shift and sometimes he would make me a couple when I came up to get my check. So not quite 50,000 haha it was an exaggeration but I've had a lot of combinations because we got free drinks.
@@stephanieclark1487 compared to the rest of the places he has eaten at, it is considered healthy. The poor man has eaten everything from too many fast food joints

I’ve NEVER had breakfast from sonic. We really only go t get shakes and stuff like that. Very rarely do we go for food. Oh and I live in middle tennessee 😅
Bigdawgsgottaeat 50 it’s a little comedy song he wrote about how white people have taco nights for dinner but they’re not like authentic Mexican tacos at all lol

"Keith Makes Everything At Sonic Better By Adding His Own Signature Sauces". Say now, that's an idea! Sonic should offer Keith an exclusive deal to add his sauces to their dipping sauce repertoire.
Seeing as he can’t share with the food babies at the moment, I like to think him and his wife are surviving off the sonic menu with one bite taken out for the next week
I know. I was thinking the same. Or he needs to bring a knife and cut off a sample so he can save rest for later Also I would of ordered the jr burritos instead of sr since they are the same.
can we appreciate how well done this series has adapted, my man here delivers quality content while reminding us to implement physical distancing. Hats off!
I can imagine with going into a really fancy restaurant and then asking if he wants any hot sauce and him just pulling out his own going no thanks I have better hot sauce then whatever you could try and give me
Due to COVID, I don’t think they are going to travel across the US to find a Tim Hortons. They don’t have any in California or neighboring states. I believe the are all in the northeast/midwest region.
Watching "try the menu" videos is like riding a rollercoaster of emotions... Keith starts super happy and excited and over time he just loses energy haha
