When I was trying to deny it all and convert other catholics, I ended up with God answering my prayers and something was showing me proof that I was wrong. I was a life long Protestant. My dad was a Sunday school teacher. Mom, Dad, and I sung in the choirs. Fast forward 60 years. My husband and I converted to Catholicism two years ago. My greatest struggle during my conversion was believing in the real presence of the Lord during mass and as the Eucharist is celebrated. I believe it now.
I'm a cradle catholic but as child I had that thought too sometimes out of wonder but even if your mind is uncertain, your heart will tell you so, that it is true and the moment you believe and go with the flow there is fullness you will feel, an inner union with our saviour, an intimate encounter and life will never be thesame. Then after a few years was restless and went to a non denominational church for years . It was difficult times and I drifted far away. After my Father died, I was invited by a good friend to an Adoration Chapel , weekly on Monday nights for 1 hr , in the chapel , in front of the cross , at his feet , I embraced the silence. I cried, I wrote poems and I was drawn to find out more about the Catholic faith. RCIA was a deep spiritual journey home. EV 2007-8 I was converted! EV is Easter Vigil .

I grew up Lutheran in a Jewish neighborhood. When I was about 5 or 6 years old, on Good Friday, I was sitting on the curb at the edge of our street just thinking, and heard a voice. IT wasn’t anything I could explain, but I was calm. And God spoke to me. He said you will become Catholic. My first thought was, what’s that? And then I asked “when?” He said not now but in a little while. Be good for your parents, obey them and when you get older you will know. So I ran home and asked my mom, “what is Catholic?” She explained that it was another Christian religion. Then of course, I asked “well what is religion?” Outta the mouths of babes right? She just giggled.I told her what I had heard. It always was in the back of my mind growing up. And by the 9th grade the pull got stronger and stronger. My mom took me to see the pastor of our church who spoke with me. He said he thought I should wait until I was an adult to make a decision like this. I went off to college while I was 17 (late birthday) and found a Catholic Church and began attending mass. I met my husband just before leaving for college. He was staying home and I was going away to nursing school. I later found out he was Catholic. As a teen, it wasn’t our first topic of conversation. But I continued to go to Mass, and later began the process of converting and coming into the church. RCIA wasn’t in full swing yet, but I still attended classes one night a week and then was confirmed into the church. I honestly don’t even remember going to reconciliation but I would think I must have. Three years later my husband and I were married. I began teaching religious ed, later joined a band in the music ministry, and then when my kids were grown I attended a 4 year school called the Catholic Biblical School of Michigan which was amazing. I graduated a few years ago. This school was founded in Denver. Many states are now offering it I understand. But anyway, long story long.... I am home!

I debate consistently with Protestants online as a Catholic apologist and I've yet to convince one person to pray to God to ask him his truth. They are all content with what they believe is true rather than picking up their cross.
barbhorses I gave up trying to debate with people online. It never works. The best thing is to live a joy filled obedient life of faithfulness to Christ. That will cause people to want to know more about your Catholic Faith. It opens the door.

I’ve been Catholic for all of five months, and I have no regrets. Most of the time I find myself stepping back in complete and utter awe and wonder how and why God chose me. Part of my family is Non- denominational, and the other part are atheists. I have no reason to be here other than the Holy Spirit. Although the church as an institution is somewhat flawed. I fall further and further in love with the Lord, and his church everyday as I learn more and more.

@Asaph Vapor I did not wanted to be Catholic, I was very active in evangelism "saving" Catholics. Once I get to read the writing of the Christians during the first 382 years of the Church, I realized that my calvinist, "evangelicals" doctrines were contrary to the true apostolic faith. I realized that I believed a very logical doctrine, but false. I realized I was like in the telefone game, I believed a distorted message with some truth that made it believeble. I pray you find the Truth and one day you can join The Church and receive our Lord in the eucharist. Finally, the hardest for me was to admit I was wrong and that the Catholic Church is the One, The Church. My pride hurted big time. It is worthy, I found the pearl of great value and I sold it all to be with Him everyday till the end of times.
I was a Catholic who moved to United States and started reading with Jehovah’s witness and later on with baptist. I didn’t congregate with my Catholic Church for over 15 years. I always wondered why I felt such peace when I used to go to Mass after receiving communion. One day after watching a debate between father Luis Toto and a Protestant pastor about the Eucharist, the Priest explained that it is the Body and blood of the Lord and cited John 6 (unless you eat of my flesh and drink of my blood you have no life). When I read that I said, OmG this is why I felt such peace after receiving communion. I had been reading the Bible my whole life, how did I miss that. The amazing thing is that I was praying for God to guide me on wether to Join the Baptist church my gf attended or go all the way with the Jehovas witness. What a 360 degree turn that was. The Lord brought me back to the Catholic Church . The minute I understood Jesus our Lord was present on the Eucharist I said this is it. I have to be there. I was confirmed and thanks to God I became a catechist. I’m so happy to be home and praying for my family to also have this revelation. May God unite his church...

Wow! I loved that story! I was born into a Catholic family and went to a Catholic grade school but drifted away in my 20s and 30s. Fortunately I never denied Christ and came back home. I feel so blessed to be in the Church again...

Born and raised Catholic, fell away for years sinning in every way possible, drug addiction, darkness all around, saying the Our Father and Hail Mary’s through the darkest...fast forward to when my God given son was 8 I went to confession and realized what a wonderful God we have His love and forgiveness kept me alive to be mommy and I am forever grateful to my mom for raising us Catholic. It truly got me through and brought me home.
It's so rare and amazing to see this. Many Catholics I know left and go over to mega protestant churches.. where there are animated worship sessions, dynamic sermons and hip cell group sharing. I pray more will come to the Catholic church. The sacraments are so precious.
Catholics have Depth and can worship in silence. When I was a Pentecostal l was always empty after service. If you've never been Catholic, you won't understand that feeling.

I was born into a catholic country and family 🇭🇹 but since moving to a Protestant country and being bullied for it I kinda went to their church and started thinking like them but never felt like I belonged until I made the decision to leave like God was calling me back home. I love watching Catholic conversion stories and yours is one of the best! I love all your videos and follow you here and on Facebook. I was originally baptized in the Catholic Church when I was around 2 or so but Dad fell away from the Church mainly because he thought he could never receive Holy Eucharist so I ended up Presbyterian. I thought it was the Church that Jesus started and put all my energy there. I was ordained as an elder and did pretty much everything except preach. I helped the pastor lead worship most Sundays but then they became political. I knew that wasn't Jesus speaking on those subjects. It was men deciding what to believe in the Bible. So at the beginning of this summer, I began reading everything about Catholicism and early Christian Writings. I'm still reading but I'm being led by the Holy Spirit to His Church, the Catholic Church. I see so much from the Old Testament in Mass how God's people worshipped Him. Every time I walk into the sanctuary of our parish, I can feel God's presence and He is there, something I never felt in a Protestant church. The Holy Spirit is still changing me, I'm becoming more Christ- like because of my love for Jesus. Keith, may God continue to bless you as you share His love for each one of us.

Amen...I also became Catholic last year. The RCIA program was amazing. I asked a lot of question and I ended up embracing God without any questions. I grew up in a very conservative Protestant church that did not make sense to me. I was not allow to talk to Catholics until one day I started taking my wife's grandmother to a Roman Catholic church. It changed my life. I did all the sacraments....I even got married in the Catholic Church....just amazing!

@Walter. It sounds like you were raised in the faith and no one ever took the time to explain it to you. I would feel scorned too. When I took RCIA i was joined by a couple in their 70s, both cradle Catholics, who were raised in an era of the church that discouraged questions and reading the bible independently. Many, including my mother, Were brought up in the same era. It is a failure of the church and a failure of the parents to not teach the faith with compassion and understanding. But we are human... so failure is inevitable. How was the canon of the bible determined? Where in the bible does Christ say "everything you need to follow me is written in the gospels"? Who wrote the bible? There are age old arguments for and against solo scriptura. But we know followers of Christ walked the earth for at least 100 plus years prior to the first books of the NT being written. The wide scale distribution didn't occur for centuries after. How did these early Chrisitans worship? Myself and my twelve-year-old son converted to The Catholic Church This past Easter. Though certain practices do not come naturally, I could not find one teaching of the church That opposed the word of the Lord in The Bible. Though purgatory is not defined in the Gospels, we know that no one enters the kingdom of heaven with sin. And we are all sinners, many not given the opportunity to ask for forgiveness and repent before that final day comes. I will pray for you, not that you reject your protestant faith, but that you gain a better understanding of the Catholic faith and realize that Catholics are Christians just like you, desiring to be more like Christ everyday.
This is great story! I’ve been a catholic all my life but fell short of my faith just recently this year I had a change of heart but that’s another story. I came across awhile back with a video of Steve Ray’s conversion. I have family that left the Catholic Church and are in different Protestants church, seeing all of your conversions gives me hope that they well return one day !

I am always happy at how God and the Blessed Mother works in my life. I have known about Medjugorje since Our Lady has appeared there. It wasn't until 2019 that I really had a strong desire to want to go there. It has been stronger each year. I am hoping to go there October 2022. I was watching videos. I love to hear conversion stories. I found this one and I had no clue you had gone to Medjugorje. To me it's another sign from God and Our Lady that I really need to go there. Thank you. WOW.. I am a cradle Catholic and converts have made me love my religion even more and have awoken a fire inside of me. I believe converts are special tools of God and undercover angels that are spreading the love for Catholicism. There is a passion and love inside of them that I have never seen before. I recently discovered the Catholic Church after a life in Protestantland. It doesn't get any better! It's hard being a convert when close family remains Protestant. They gave up everything but received so much in their Catholic faith. They became Catholics about the same time as Scott Hahn and his wife converted. You have such a similar story as theirs. I am humbled. My reversion to the Catholic Church was directly related to hearing Scott Hahn speaking on the radio about his conversion. That was 1997.
Are you going to pray a Novenas or go to Rome and kiss the popes ring. Praying to Saints idols statues always makes me feel Holy I like saying Hail Mary all day long She is Queen of heaven and the earth 🌏 I wonder when Jesus was in the Jewish synagogue if he told all to worship his mom how they would have reacted If he told them Saint Michael was the prince of worship he earth Lighting Candles and praying to the dead would probably get you stoned

But just for starters, we do not worship no one but God, we do not idolize images, read Exodus 20:3, not any image but those He is very specific to mention. I am considering to convert from being raised in a non-denomination church but was baptism as an infant in a Catholic Church. In 2009 was going to convert and then went to a Jesuit university and got exposed to Catholic practices. It was always with me and waiting for the classes so I can convert.

I want to thank you brother for your testimonies and your videos. I have, after over a year of wrestling with it, finally realized that I believe the Catholic church is the true church (Im currently a protestant). I appreciate your prayers, as my husband is vociferously anti-catholic (not so much in that he doesnt think catholics are christians but that he wants nothing to do with what he seea as a lot of silly externals that are unnecessary for saving faith), and telling him I want to convert could tear my family apart. I know I need to pray and be patient ans seek God and trust for a miracle, and if you see this I covet your prayers, brother. God bless you.

Keith, what a fantastic speaker you are. Loved your story. I'm a cradle Catholic but a revert who came back in 2002. Sadly enough because of my indifference our daughter wasn't correctly catechized. I was inspired by your story and hope that sometime she will did for her own treasure, while I'm praying for her because as you said conversion can't be forced. Think mine was pushed a bit by my deceased parents prayers. I hope you can remain in some Catholic youth ministry as you're a "natural" preacher and our youth need your inspiring story so badly. I'm also former Presbyterian elder and almost Catholic. I will be on Easter vigil. I think most Protestants on social media are more focused on proving Catholicism as false than following Jesus. I sense hate coming out of their words. I'm trying not to respond to them as its Satan's attempt to pull us away from Jesus.
@Art Lady They are protesting popes who claim to be Jesus representative on earth when Jesus said that's the Holy Spirit. They are protesting Catholic beliefs that are not in the Bible and, in many cases, opposite to what the Bible teaches. I am blessed to be raised in a catholic family although to be fair, they never forced to be one. They just invited me to mass and that is it. At some point I was going to mass and a pentecostal sermon at the same time thinking they were all the same thing. One day one pentecostal leader congratulate me for answering a bible question and I told him I learned it from my first communion clases. His face changed completely and my aunt which was pentecostal explained to me his reactiion. At that point I knew I had to make a decision and I chose catholic. It felt right even though I was only 13 years old. I am 35 years old now and the more I learned about the catholic church, the more confidence I become that I made the right decision.

I love conversion stories. I'm a cradle catholic, and I'm just starting to learn about these kinds of testimonies. I wish that I was on fire as much as our dear converts are. These testimonies sure do help.
