It took me a long time to finally convert to Catholicism. There were many obstacles along the way. In this short video, I discuss 3 of the toughest things that kept me where I was. Eventually, I found my way through them. Watch the video to see how. If you have family or friends who have similar objections, feel free to share this video with them. I hope God uses it to bless you (and them). Thanks for watching, Keith

Keith, my husband and I are cradle Catholics ... but about 5 years ago, we felt that our faith was getting stale ... lukewarm. We didn’t know any Catholics who were on fire in their faith ... or even knew the theology well. We were searching for something “more.” We ended up trying a Protestant Church, and we learned so much about the Bible. We got very involved in their ministries and mission trips. That church family was so close and supportive. Then last year, our oldest son, Luke, became a Catholic Seminarian. He started planting seeds about why Catholicism was true. He was so patient with his hard-headed parents. We asked the Lord to show us His truth .... but we never expected the flood of truth that He would send. No matter where we turned or what we read, we’d stumble upon another Catholic truth that we didn’t know before. It was miraculous! We began to yearn for the Eucharist. We started saying the daily Rosary ... Whaaaat! We discovered Scott Hahn and Steven Ray .... and the Journey Home show. We began attending both churches each week. We had the most difficult time telling our Protestant brothers and sisters that we had to return to the Catholic Church. They just didn’t get it ... and nothing we said made any sense to them. As of January 2019, we are Home again in the Catholic Church. We heard a quote that said, “Bad Catholics become Protestant, and good Protestants become Catholic.” I guess were both at some point! Once we surrendered it all to the Lord, the journey back Home became easier. I will be sharing your videos, Keith, with some of the awesome Christians at that Protestant Church. They don’t know what they are missing! Thank you for sharing your heart ... I believe that many more souls will also thank you one day in Heaven!

i also attend both churches. i was born catholic, stayed catholic, studied catholic theology, but i just wasn't seeing or feeling life in my catholic churches. but Heavenly Father didn't abandon me, He directed me (via youtube, bc that's where i was spend ing most my time) to a pentecostal pastors, and thanks to that i was born again. i read the Bible 3 times now, i love my catholic church more now, but i still attend pentecostal community in my town, bc they just have better sermons, good worship and brotherhood (which CC in my town lacks). and i am open about my catholicsm, often get into talks with them. i hope they will convert one day, and untill that i leave them in God's hands, bc He knows best how to bring people close to Him

I was a Protestant for 58 years. Two years ago, my husband and I (we’ve been married for 41 years) converted to Catholicism. The biggest hurdle I had to face was praying for Mary’s intercession. However, since I have been praying the rosary daily, I have noticed such a change in my life. I am finally able to let my stressors and my worries go (sort of). Mary will intercede, along with Jesus, and fantastical things will follow!

After studying and going deep in Judaism, I feel such a deep connection to God, coming back to Catholicism is an act of love for me, but I do not connect wholly with its teachings like I do Judaism.

The case of my cousin, he knew n he is highly educated. The deeper truth is, knowledge isn't enough. Faith n obedience help us to be on God's path always. He converted to islam because he wanted to divorce n remarries a young muslim he met in the same university he studied in. It's not the higher truth, better morals or deeper faiths that he embraces islam. Rather, its outrageously the opposite of catholicism. Can we respect a man who held rosaries in his hands once upon a time n now holding lies n deceptions to get out n to argue about our way of praying n living for Christ? What's in his pants control him.

Do not pass your judgements on cradle Catholics so fast. Most of the time they follow the rule of having faith as small as a mustard seed. They believe in just being good children of God. Not really bothered to by heart the scriptures. And I have noticed that they feel that they are not worthy. Also to be a Catholic is very, very tough because there is a constant reminder of being cautious from falling into sin.
@einsigne
@einsigne 4 года назад
Cradle Catholic is truly on fire within. Tap and it will ignite. They may not know what exact verse in the bible but the church teaching was taught within and you can see it by the love and action. Even if they sometimes did not know it but they are doing it. They are used to it and forgot the teaching of Church and no one challenge to ask them until a protestant does the rapid questions. That's the time they caught by surprise and fall out of the Church unless Catholics have a realization about their faith. Realization is very important for Catholic. Until Catholics did not realize it we truly need Converts to make Catholics realized the fullness of Catholic faith. Truly American converts are a blessing to all Catholics around the world because they way they express their faith in youtube and the books they made to affirm the Catholic faith. Other than Americans, in my opinion, they are hardcore and tend to not listen or read, unlike Americans. Thanks Keith

I was Methodist for 56 yrs and came home Easter 2018. My objections were the Eucharist being THE body and blood of Jesus and confessing to a Priest instead of to God directly and Purgatory but when I found out the real history of it, it ALL makes so much more sense. I believe that the other faiths just don't dig DEEP enough. I find Catholicism so fulfilling whereas before I just went to church and listened to the pastor give a sermon. In Catholicism you actually participate in worshiping God. And one of the other things I like is that you understand what it means to be held accountable for your actions. The older one gets, the more you think about the possibility of death at any moment (things kids and young adults don't think about) and for me, I needed a religion that held me accountable (more than the law-legal system, but inside accountable for sins) every moment of my life, I needed guidance, something more than just sitting in church listening to a sermon for 20 minutes a week and reading the Bible here and there, not understanding much of it except the basics. Bottom line, I feel closer to God every day and I thank him for calling me to his Son's church. I glad I finally listened.

Confessing your sins to a man is nowhere in the Bible and is an abomination to the Lord. In 1 Timothy 2:5 it clearly says "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," [not Mary, not saints, not priests, not the Pope]. Like most Catholics you do not read the Bible and therefore are easily deceived. I'll pray you find truth.

My Conversion Story (part one) I know that not many can remember the first time in their lives when they first heard the name of Jesus. I am privileged to not only remember that time but also the special grace that came with that hearing. In 1944 I was but five years old and at that time our family lived on Chicago's South Side. My mother had a friend that she said she liked ”even though she was Catholic” and even at that age, from the the way that she said it I knew that being a Catholic was not good. When I ask her what a Catholic was she did not give me an answer. This of course made me very curious as I saw this lady as being quite beautiful in not only her appearance but also in a quietness and a gracefulness that seemed to always be about her. At the time her husband was away at war and she was pregnant with their first child. In the spring of that year, for some unknown reason, my mother allowed this lady to take me to Mass. This was the first time that I could remember ever being in any church and I was very impressed with the grandeur of the building. Years later I visited the churches in the area where we lived at that time to try and discover which one it was. I found that it was probably St. Michael the Archangel on South Shore Drive and as I have always had a particular devotion to St Michael I feel that that is the right one. We were seated on the left towards the rear but we could see the alter very clearly and to this day it remains my favorite place to pray in any church. I remember the rich and heavy wood of the pews and the woodwork all about the church and the actions and quiet of the people led me to feel that this was a special place. As Mass started and not knowing what to do or how to act I just followed along by observing a very reverent gentleman seated in front of us... I still pray for and try to imitate him. As I became aware of the priest and the fact that everyone's attention was toward him I of course wondered what was going on. I was very impressed with his vestments as I had never seen anything like them before. It was probably Easter Sunday as the vestments were all white and gold. As time went on everyone began to kneel and as I was about to do the same the lady stopped me and told me that it was okay for me to stand so that I could see. It was about this time that she whispered to me that “Jesus is coming.” I had never heard of this person Jesus but I was looking forward to seeing him and hearing what he would have to say as I knew that he had to be very special because of the way everyone was acting. I also wondered if he would be dressed in a regular suit and would he be wearing a hat or would he have on finer clothes than the man at the alter, although I couldn't imagine anyone being dressed any finer than he was. Page one About this time the lady whispered to me “Jesus is very near!” and so I was watching everything very closely. She then put her arm around me and pointed to the altar and whispered “Jesus is here... do you see him!” Looking at the alter at first I saw no one except the priest but then a sudden awareness took hold and I knew that the Host held high in the priest's hands was Jesus and with that realization, I also became aware of His great love for me. And then, with that realization, there came a wave-like a heat wave or a wave of water, transparent yet viable that is really impossible to describe; it came up from the alter and over near the ceiling and I knew that it was going to come crashing down on me. I was afraid so I ducked back into the pew to try and avoid it. But as I fled a wave of complete love, that I now know was the Holy Spirit, passed over and thru me. It was a wave of unconditional love and it completely enveloped me and enabled me to look deep within myself... at my very soul. In the presence of this love, there was Jesus. I was able to not only feel His love but also to share in His love and to see my soul as it was, pure except for one black spot... or perhaps a better description would be a dark hole that was not pure love and I wanted desperately to conceal this darkness from Jesus and His love but even though I tried I was unable to do so. I knew nothing of the soul or its existence and I certainly didn't know anything about original sin and I hadn't been baptized so I had no idea why there was this blackness but I desperately wished that it wasn't there. What I saw was a real sense of complete and utter blackness to infinity. A place without any light or hope. It was the exact opposite of Jesus' love and friendship. It was all-consuming and full of despair, hate, and evil... it was very terrifying, and I was in fear that I would fall into it and if I did I knew that I would never be able to return. In Scripture God has presented Himself and His love for us as with fire, as in the burning bush or at Pentecost as tongues of fire and the Holy Spirit's purifying fire... this black place was the opposite. It was cold, so much so that I have always felt that the best way to describe any heartless or evil act as being “cold” as the most accurate. Not in words but in a complete and unmistakable knowing Jesus assured me that everything was okay and with that assurance I was able to rest, to be consumed in and by His love. Then somehow I felt that He desired, and in a unique way, had a need of a gift from me. So I looked to my soul for something to give but I had nothing to offer and again He lovingly assured me that it was okay and I was once again able to rest in and be consumed by His love. There was no sense of time as we know it involved in any of this indescribable, all-knowing, complete, and all-consuming love that Jesus unconditionally offered me. Then Jesus started to leave and I begged Him to stay but in an amused yet very gentle and loving way He assured me that He would return and with that assurance I was able to let Him leave. As I said there was no conversation as we know it in any of this, only an absolute complete and unmistakable understanding of each other and of love. It is the greatest peace, joy, and love that I shall ever feel in this life. To be honest it is enough. If I should cease to exist at my death I would still owe God a debt for the love that He showed me and that I felt in just those few moments. ... End of Part One

@@learnbibleversethroughpict6027 Part two of three As we left the church I was surprised at how casual everyone was as I assumed that everyone had had the same experience. And riding home I wondered how long it would be until Jesus would return. I could hardly wait. When we arrived home my mother ask if I had been good and the lady said that I had been “a very good boy” and I was very pleased with having been so in her eyes. Since then I have always loved her for taking me to this place of love and showing me Jesus. She is the first of the many souls that I have collected throughout my life that I will love and pray for until the day of my death. After a few days, I became anxious and told my mother that I wanted to go back to church and as you might imagine she got very upset and told me that I couldn't ever return to that church. I remember sitting in the middle of my bed and crying. After all, Jesus said that he would return and I knew that he couldn't lie to me. I just didn't understand why he wouldn't return. This is when I said my first prayer “Jesus I don't understand this, where are you, when will you return?” And with that prayer, I was led to know that even though I didn't understand everything was okay and it was also true that Jesus would return... I wasn't happy but it was enough. So what was I to do? As soon as I could I started to go to church, but my mother made sure that I only went to Protestant Churches and she had my two younger brothers go with me. Our first denomination was the Salvation Army as that is where our neighbors went and my brothers and I would tag along. Well, there was Sunday School and Bible study and it was great. The oldest daughter of our neighbor was our teacher and she was a delight, she once told us she had every intention of dedicating her life to God and I later found out that she had converted to Catholicism and became a Nun. What joyous news that was for me! Then came the Baptist Church, then the Evangelical Church of God, Bible Summer Camp where I was “Born Again” (not baptized but simply accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior). Then onto the Methodist Church where at their monthly communion service the pastor went to great lengths to assure the congregation that this was just a symbol of remembrance of Jesus and that the bread was just bread and that they were only serving grape juice and not real wine. Even at my young and uneducated age I wondered “why not wine?” Hadn't Jesus' first miracle been the changing of water into wine? And at the Last Supper the changing of wine into His very blood. Every Christian would believe the first miracle but not all will or want to believe the second. Then there was the “scandal of the cross.” When the pastor had a simple cross placed on the wall above the communion rail many in the church were upset because it was simply too “Catholic.” For me that was it and although I had great times and learned much about Jesus and His love there was something missing... it was time for me to move on. One of the best things to happen to me in my quest for the Church was that at about the age of ten we moved into a Catholic neighborhood. Almost all of my friends were Catholic; they were tough, stubborn, hardworking, and religious. There was the large Polish Church, St. Stanislaus, at the end of our block just five houses away. There was an Italian Parish no more than three blocks from us and an Irish Parish was just seven blocks... a very Catholic neighborhood. How I loved the sound of the bells, the Church calling the faithful to prayer three times a day every day. I wondered why other Churches didn't have bells or if they did why didn't they ring them? Anyway, when I got into High School I would go to the Public Library almost every evening to do my homework and after that just read... I was finally able to study the teachings of the Catholic Church. I read and re-read everything that I could find about the Church. To me it all made so much sense but even then, because of my Protestant background there were things to overcome and pray about, such as the Catholic devotion to Mary... but I knew that everything would fall into place and I felt a really deep longing to be a part of this Catholic Church. At sixteen I quietly started going to Mass with my school friends. It was easy to follow along as the Masses were so crowded that the young boys had to stand at the side aisles or at the very back and sometimes when it was really crowded outside in the snow or rain. But somehow that made going to Mass even more special. At that time the Mass was in Latin and at St Stanislaus the homilies were usually in Polish but nevertheless, I loved all of it. Everyone, even the priests knew that I wasn't Catholic or Polish but they always made me feel at home, much more than any of the Protestant churches that I had attended or belonged to. My High School football coach was an usher at St. Stanislaus and if he didn't see me at Sunday Mass he would ask me where I had gone to Mass and if I hadn't gone it was no joke, you went to Mass or you ran wind sprints... talk about a tough penance... and without even having gone to confession. But I loved it... a great community of faith... they not only cared but set a great example of living their faith for me to follow. After I reached my eighteenth birthday I knew that it was time for me to do something about joining the Church. My mother knew that I was going to Mass and in an unspoken compromise pushed me into the DeMolay hoping that I would find in the Masonic Lodge my answer as she comes from a long line of Masons. So coward that I proved to be I went along with this until one sunny day in July I was walking down the street in front of the Irish Parish, St. Mary's, and there stood their old and what could be described as “stern” pastor. Now this Priest had a reputation of not being, shall we say, easygoing... but somehow I found myself asking him about joining the Church. He answered in a somewhat gruff voice “The Church or the parish?” I said “The Church.” His reply “Does this involve a girl?” I answered, “No, just the Church.” A stern sizing me up look then “How old are you?” I reply “Eighteen”... He says “Okay, follow me” and we go to the rectory. Looking in his newly ordained assistant's calendar he tells me to come back next Tuesday evening at seven.

@mrbill2600 2 года назад
@@learnbibleversethroughpict6027 Part three... Now what?… I've never really attended this parish church and I have no idea what this priest that is to give me instruction is like. But Tuesday at seven I was there. I think that we were both a little nervous as well as surprised that I showed up. The assistant priest's name was Father Charlebois and after an hour of getting to know each other and my reason for wanting to become Catholic … which was no more on my part than, “after being Protestant and reading about the Catholic Church I thought that Catholicism might be right for me.” At the end of my interview, he give me a copy of the Baltimore Catechism, told me to study the first chapter, start memorizing several prayers and return next Tuesday at seven. Well, I was on my way... I had already memorized and was praying the prayers and I read through the entire Catechism and I could foresee no problem in becoming Catholic. So our Tuesday night sessions turned out to be him asking me questions and an enlightening discussion of my answers. While we were going through the Catechism in this way we got to know each other and became friends. Reading and studying the Catechism a chapter at a time took six months but those months were great and I also found the pastor to be a stern but loving soul and later a great confessor. I entered the Church by Baptism on Christmas Eve1958 with just my mother and father and my chosen Godparents present (my football coach and his wife). My mother would not allow my two brothers or anyone else to attend and to keep the peace I let her have her way. Later that night at Christmas Midnight Mass I was finally, once again, able to receive the Real Presence of our Lord Jesus Christ into my body and soul... I was not disappointed. I think that only the priests, the Angles, and Saints in heaven and God were aware that this was my First Holy Communion. It was all worth it... finally having Jesus in the Sacrament of the Eucharist was then and is today my greatest joy. And what of my gift to God... I have not forgotten about His wish for a gift. What greater gift can I give to God than my love and prayers for all of my brothers and sisters throughout time and through the Eucharist of His Catholic Church. But there are also special souls. People that I love... that have had an impact on my life, people whose names I may not even know but with whom I somehow feel a special connection, such as the lady that pointed Jesus out to me those many years ago, or years later, another lady who I saw in distress and in need of prayer in a department store, and the list goes on… These souls, and my prayers for them, are my gift to God. God's footnote: A High School friend, who lives in Chicago, posted on Facebook that he and his wife had attended the funeral Mass of a neighbor at St. Michael's Catholic Church. Both my friend and his wife are agnostic and they do not do “church” but they went because they needed to pay their respects as they felt that the way this lady lived her life demanded it. Both were surprised and impressed with the funeral, the Church building, Catholicism, and the love that the family and her friends showed for her and each other. They learned that the lady had always been a member of St Michael's parish, that she was nearly 100 years old, that she was the mother of seventeen children, and that one of her sons was one of the many priests that con-celebrated her funeral Mass. Both were impressed that this huge Church was completely full of family and friends. He said that they were so impressed that they intend to further investigate and inquire into the Church. Was this God's way of letting me know that this holy lady is my unnamed benefactor from so many years ago? I think that this coincidence would not be beyond God's way of letting me know that she now rests in His Holy presence. And that even now she still points to Jesus, and does so for the benefit of all of us.

People ask if I was convinced about all the doctrines of the Catholic Church, but actually I decided to be catholic not because the Church has convinced me about every doctrine individually, the Church just convinced me that she knows more than me and that she is guided by the Spirit of Truth. My conversion started when I attended funeral Mass for my mother in law. She was such a Godly woman! She knew I was Baptist and still let me marry her daughter and take her out of the Church. She died last September after a battle with Alzheimers. Ever since her funeral Mass, I felt the Holy Spirit was tugging on my soul and leading me to learn more about Catholicism. I started reading and watching stuff from Scott Hahn, Steve Ray, and Keith Nester. So 4 months and 7 days after her death, I was praying the Rosary for the first time and I get to the fourth decade, seventh bead and I feel this tug on the crucifix while I'm praying. If you've ever fished, you know that feeling when you've got a bite on your line. It was a tug like that. I opened my eyes and looked down at my Rosary to see if it snagged on my clothes or something. Nope, nothing but several inches of air all around it. I can't explain it! I told this to my wife and she started crying. She said it was her mom letting me know she was there! She was saying welcome home! I'm so overjoyed to be a Catholic! It's my first thought when I wake up and my last when my head hits the pillow.

Thanks for the honesty of your videos. I heard lots of lies about the Catholic Church growing up. However, when I opened myself up to studying the early Church, I discovered that the Catholic Church that existed was far different from the Catholic Church that I had been told about. I came to love the Church. Twenty-three years ago, I became a Catholic. I love the Church today more than I did then. I'm frustrated by how many Catholics do or do not practice their faith. I'm frustrated by the sex and money scandals that roil the Church today. But, like you, I've learned to judge the Church by her saints, not by her many, many sinners. And I love the Church. My objections to the Catholic Church before I converted were bad Catholic witness, transubstantiation, Mary, and fear. I was raised a Baptist, and growing up, I used to shred Catholics because I knew Scripture and they didn't. Plus, many of the Catholics I saw sinned willfully during the week, went to confession on Saturday, Mass on Sunday, and then back to sinning during the week. A couple of things overcame the bad witness objection. One, I came to a point in my life where my own life was upended by my sin, where I became a bad witness to my faith because of things that I did. Two, I came to realize -- by interacting with Catholics who really knew the Bible -- that Bible knowledge was not the whole of Christian life; knowing the Bible without living the Bible was pretty pointless. Also, these wonderful Catholic witnesses essentially shredded the doctrine of sola Scriptura by pointing out its lack of historical validity and its utter lack of logic. Transubstantiation was harder to overcome. It was really, really hard. I was willing to go as far as consubstantiation, but transubstantiation simply seemed bizarre. Still, I had to admit, Jesus never said "This [the consecrated bread] represents my body." Nor did Jesus say, "This contains my body." He said, "This IS my body." All of the early Church fathers insisted that Jesus meant what he said, that somehow (it's a mystery) the consecrated bread and wine became His body, blood, soul, and divinity. Did I, 2000 years later, somehow know and understand more than they did? Jesus somehow overcame my objections. Mary was another hard objection to overcome. However, by the time I turned my attention to the Blessed Mother, I had learned to set aside my prejudices and diligently search the Scriptures, Tradition, the Church Fathers, and the myriad of documents from the Church and learn. The answers are there in all of those documents -- including Scripture -- if one is willing to read and learn with an open mind and heart. I wasn't a pastor, so I didn't have the fear of losing my livelihood weighing on me. By the time I overcame my previous three objections, fear seemed to have left. And so I entered the Church. Again, thanks for your videos. I love the honesty and the courage that you show so clearly. God bless!

@RobertWoodman
@RobertWoodman 4 года назад
@@waltermromanoff349, because I love Jesus, I love His Church. The Church was Jesus' gift to us. As far as "accepting Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior," that idea and phrasing comes from 19th century American revivalism. It's not part of historical Christianity. However, as to your question whether I have been born again, the answer is "yes." Catholic Christians believe that Jesus meant what He said when He said, "You must be born again." He also said that you must be born of water and spirit. It's not about walking down a sawdust aisle during an altar call to pray a prayer with a pastor. It is far more profound than that.

@@KeithNester To my understanding, there are generally two types of Latin Mass, the TLM (Traditional Latin Mass), and the Solemn Latin Mass (Sung). The TLM to my understanding is pre-Vatican II, and was the way Mass was said for centuries. This Mass tends to be the "de-facto" traditional High Latin Mass, which Trad Cats normally attend. I attend the Solemn Latin Mass (Sung), this is a much longer mass than the TLM, where the congregation also responds in Latin, with a Gregorian choir. The antiphon "Asperges Me Domine" which is sung during the initial procession where the priest sprinkles holy water on the congregation, is other-worldly, you literally feel as if you're in God's throne room. Please try and get to either a TLM or a Solemn Latin Mass if you can, once you've attended them a few times, you will not look back. God bless.

We sustain ourselves sacramentally on the Jesus the Lamb on our journey to the promised land, heaven. We, like Peter, do not question God on this but except that Jesus knows what he's talking about. I couldn't be happier for him, he's so excited about learning and I'm so happy to share my faith with him too. Although the sacrament of marriage we cannot receive (he had prostate cancer) we are sharing this which is much more intimate and bonding for us.

Purgatory, in the Bible, read: Mathew 12, 32: Mateo 5, 25, 26. Lucas 12,58-59 1Corinthians 3,11-15. 1 Pedro 3:19 Judas 23 Malaquias 3,2-3 There are many more. But the Lord is very clear when he says you won't get out if jail until you lay the last cent. (then you will be free)

@@aprendelearncrochet.56 I also suspect the cities of refuge were allegorical for purgatory, as they were cities in the promised land (weren't being exiled), where one paid for inadvertent wrongdoing for an unknown amount of time (until then current Levitical high priest died).

@paulmiller3469 4 года назад
Tish, regarding purgatory, it's just purging our sinful proclivities. Actually a lot of Protestants believe there is such a process, too, though they see it as more instantaneous. But if that's the only difference, then we're arguing about how long something takes... in heaven, which we believe is beyond or outside of time.

In the Philippines, we have a lot of Catholic "subgroups" as I call it, for lack of a proper term. Some call it "Christian fellowship", we are still Catholics, actively practicing discipleship, we meet up once a week, it's a big gathering, to study the Bible and how to be desciples of Christ, aiming to bring more people to the Catholic Church and have a deeper relationship with God and do discipleship as well. They (our builders) are like pastors but not. They just guide us in understanding Catholicism and the Bible and have a deeper relationship with God. Our session is followed by a Holy Mass presided by a priest. Our group is called Light of Jesus. If there is something like that in America, your ability to preach is very much needed. God bless you! ❤️

@Bighorn44 None Oh yeah El Shaddai. I don't know if they still exist. They're no longer in the "frontlines" unlike before. Although what we are facing now is the growing protestant group here that is almost the same as the light of Jesus. They also have celebrities joining them, making them famous. They are also more "active" in their discipleship. They know how to ask questions that some Catholics don't know how to answer like Where is that in the Bible? or why do you" worship" Mary? or why do you have a Pope? That's why some Catholics get converted. Another "turn-off" of some Filipinos here are the cardinals, priests and nuns meddling with politics.

It should start from me, then my family and friends and their own friends. Please pray for me too. God bless you more! ❤️

Thank you soo much Keith for your testimonies. I'm going to use your videos to explain my wife Catholicism (she is Protestant and heard all crazy stuff who Catholics are). As a martial arts practitioner I completely agree with you on that fear. It's the realisation that you devoted decades if not all of your life to something that doesn't work or is not true or incomplete. It's that fear of wasted years that often makes people stand and defend their beliefs/system in the face of blatant evidence cause otherwise they have to admit they wasted life on it and that requires colossal willpower.It's just easier to delude and lie to yourself and convince yourself that you achieve something.

"I am with you until the end of time" - Our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said to us. I am a cradle Catholic, born and raised, and I had a conversion of heart within His beautiful Church. I did not know, love, or serve God. I was Catholic by name only. When the emptiness of this world overcame me, I prostrated myself on the floor of my bedroom and begged for help at age 28. By His grace alone which is suffencient; by His Mercy alone, which is all encompassing; I knew there had to be more to life and He gave it to me. He showed me Himself in the Blessed Sacrament through my pleas to His Mother Mary to pray for me. I would say over and over, "Lord I believe, help my unbelief" at the Consecration during the Holy Mass...now I say, "My Lord and My God" at the lifting up! You see, I almost left for an "Interdenominational" church due to witnessing and personally experiencing uncharitable parishioners. My heart yearned for Christ in the people, I was so saddened by the coldness of those who were condescending and judgmental instead of Christlike. God took my arm, walked me PAST the people, and said, "Here I Am", in an different parish with loving sweet women in love with Jesus, the Eucharist, and His beautiful loving Mother. They are out there, really! He will lead you to them, but mostly He will lead you His True Presence. He is nowhere else on earth to be found, BOTH physically and spiritually, except within His Holy Catholic Church in the Blessed Sacrament (Holy Eucharist)....do not allow ANY human to keep you from Him! There have been some very upsetting experiences finding a parish in my life, in GA, MN, NM, NE (my husbands aviation career moves) but, only ONCE the thought to physically leave Our Savior for another denomination at age 31. I am in my 60's now. I thank God I did NOT make that fateful move of separation from His True Presence and Mercy. Persevering was hard as the devil bears down on those who seek Our Lord in His Church. Sometimes it was hard to find the reverence in Mass that I was seeking, but He always led me to that too. Even the scandals, that seem to be daily with our Pope, made me realize that God gives us the pope and priests we deserve. We must PRAY for our clergy, not beat them down. Yes, there are bad men who happen to be priests, but NOT ALL priests are bad. Many MORE are holy and loving, and would sacrifice ALL to save your soul! I've met them and know them and thank God for them in my life. Ask God to lead you to them. Having a good Confession with a good holy priest is vital and the Sanctifying Grace will keep you strong. Ask around for a holy, strong, Catholic priest. We cannot and are NOT expected to follow ANY problematic or heretical directives even from the Pope. I am ONLY called as a Catholic to believe all that the Church has taught thru Her Dogmas and teachings within the Catechism. Study, learn, pray, and love. After all, we follow road signs in our car everyday! Following our Lord's signs and rules, and worshiping Him in His True Presence (AND recieving His body, blood, soul and divinity within my own body and soul!) helps me toward Paradise. I will not be facing the Pope when I die, ONLY My Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. I will give due reverence and respect to the Vicar of Christ, but ONLY Jesus is my Judge. Mother Mary is my Advocate and helper to follow Her beloved Son, she is NOT to be worshipped (that is heretical), only reverenced as My Savior's beautiful Mother and our Mother given directly to us from the Holy Cross. Mary is the Ark that brought Jesus to us, she is the Ark to bring us to heaven thru our prayers and her prayers for us. If I ask a friend to pray for me, what better action than to ask God's own Mother to pray for me! He hears Her prayers and voice first and foremost! St. Joseph is our protector and guide, he is The Terror of Demons and very protective of Christ's flock...us :). I try to stay close to the Holy Family, I try to pray for wisdom and understanding. Life is never to be easy, it is our "working out of our salvation", God is waiting for my humble prayer to give me a Joy unlike any joy on earth. Believe me, He acts very swift and will shower you with AMAZING people and wonderful Joyful experiences in this, your journey of Faith within His ordained Church...so, buckle up and "Be not afraid" as the bible says 365x! Enjoy the abyss of Mercy and love within His physical Presence here on earth! Welcome Home Pastor!! God bless your journey and all those contemplating crossing the Tiber. I will pray for you and your family. 🙏🙏🙏

I am currently in RCIA. My wife and I have been active in our Protestant church from 2009, until COVID. Being away from the physical church lead me to researching original Christianity, which now I believe is truly practicing the Catholic faith. I had to pray about this for several months. It was not easy. I am a pastors kid, so now I’m trying to explain to my dad that I’m not saying he is wrong. All faith starts with belief in Jesus as God’s only Son. Rather I am adding the traditions to my faith that I already have. I believe in prayer, Bible studies, a solid biblical preaching message, prayer groups… but that is not Church service. Mass is for us to take literally God in, and we should be doing that without neglecting the other things mentioned. Another battle I’m dealing with is when I was young, living a wild life, I married a girl so my daughter could be a citizen. Long story short she changed her mind after “marriage” I have only lived with her physically for less than one month. Five years later, I divorced and meet my now wife, have been married for 10+ years and have a family. I pray my annulment goes through because I honestly love the Catholic Church, and of course will always love my wife. Please pray that one day I can part take in the Eucharist!

Thank you - Cradle Catholic here who went through years of CCD and was Confirmed but didn't have a CLUE what being Catholic really was (I grew up in the 60's and 70's and I swear I never even heard the term "Transubstantiation" until years later). I started finally learning ten years ago - and my husband and I have truly come back to our faith and had A LOT to confess before doing so. So freeing and feel so much peace now that I am on the path toward Jesus - progress, not perfection - a priest told me that is what God expects! Every time I hear a conversion story like yours, it makes me want to cry. I wish all of us who were born into the faith would take the time to learn it like most converts do -- then we wouldn't have Catholics constantly leaving what they don't even know for something they think is better. Thank you so much for your story! Welcome Home!

I wanted to share with you , i entered into the Catholic Church ( baptism and confirmation) on Easter Vigil of this year. Thank you so much for your time and your testimony man. It was a hurdle to get past " the Mary stuff " , hut i have grown to love our Mother. Catholicism is the best thing ive ever found , or rather that has found me . I am a born again Christian and i found Jesus Christ through a Christian Protestant woman which a part of my testimony. I was born Muslim and I am 33. I gave my life to Christ Jesus last year when I was delivered from the spirit of rejection, generational curses and spirit of confusion. The Holy Spirit lead me to a immersion baptism (as its in the scripture) and baptism of the Holy fire. Currently I am fasting and seeking even more. I have had dreams of Jesus and he has revealed himself through his Word to me. I love my Protestant church, we take communion together, eat together at church after services that people have prepared from home and we pray for each other. People come forward giving their life to Christ and receive deliverance. We dance and sing praising the Lord and some people have a prophetic word from the Lord and others speak in tongues. I would say regarding Catholics if anyone is with the Lord I love you and it’s amazing! I know this a personal journey for each individual. I personally am so humbled by his grace 🙏🏽 Jesus is my Lord, Saviour and Master. He is my healer, comforter and I am so grateful for his sacrifice 👑 God bless my brother and sisters in Christ ❤️

Thanks for this video. It was earth-shattering for me to realize the errors I'd been taught my whole life. I believe that the psychological difficulty of an enormous paradigm shift is a lot of what protestants fear. Two of the hardest obstacles for me as I am now converting from Southern Baptist to Catholic were: the true presence of Christ in the Eucharist and Marian dogma. Scott Hahn's The Fourth Cup helped me overcome the first obstacle. Brant Pitre's Jesus and the Jewish Roots of Mary helped me get over the second obstacle. I highly recommend both.

I'm a cradle Catholic (51 years old) and have heard the term "nominal" several times now since I started studying the faith seriously on my own for the past two years. I quickly came to realize that "nominal" was all I've ever known, and I even spent 8 of my school years in Catholic school. I've had nominal parents, nominal classmates, nominal teachers, nominal fellow parishioners, etc. Since I was about 8 years old I had a nagging feeling that there should be more to it than just a title, but no one around me seemed concerned about it and I didn't know how to form the questions that I had that were never being answered. I have also learned a lot about the causes of the problems that the Church has, rather than just quiet rumblings about the issues in the priesthood. My journey started with Matthew Kelly's book "Rediscover Catholicism." From there I discovered Catholic Answers and then an unlimited supply of books, cd's, dvd's, YT videos, etc. that I never knew existed before and no one around me was paying any attention either. A new younger priest also was assigned to my parish in 2011 and made many needed changes. It took me a few years to appreciate him, and not all parishioners did. Many left, apparently preferring to remain "nominal." What upsets me the most is that I wasn't taught well so I couldn't teach my four children well either. Every issue that I hear discussions about such as poor catechesis, changes in the Mass, modernism, infiltration, etc. all include the phrase "in the last 50-60 years" - in other words, my entire life. My children are all adults now and in different places in their faith and I can't blame them for it. We were all robbed of our inheritance, but I'm doing what I can to get it back.

I'm in the same boat Julie. I left the Church for a few years right around 2002 when the previous homosexual priest scandal broke. Luckily for me my mother prayed me back into Catholicism. Similar to what St Monica did for St Augustine. My job now is to pray my kids back into the faith. For me this understanding of praying people into faith is rooted in the Gospel verses on the curing of the paralytic in Mt & Mk. This is the story when four guys ripped a whole in the roof and lowered in a man on a pallet. Jesus, recognizes the faith of the men that lowered the paralytic, not the paralytic himself. Through our prayers we need to do the same. Outstanding video discussion of these verses by Marcus Grodi and Matt Swaim on RU-vid . The Coming Home Network RU-vid channel, Deep in Scripture series.

I have been praying for each of my kids, sometimes asking for the intercession of the saints you mentioned as well as others, and a rosary for each of them once a week. Pray for all students and inquiries into Catholicism. And for nominal & cradle Catholics who actually need to study and prove what their testimony so they can be ready with an answer for every thing they believe, because people are coming over to see the original christian "church" and hear the Gospel as preached by the apostles to the disciples and all who would listen. Another great video - I am a believing Catholic and the catechism is a gem - so well written and clear and solidly backed. But obstacles? Yes, between the scandals, and the everyday bad catholics (myself included), and the misinformation you mentioned, it's a miracle ANYBODY joins the church. Thank you for being one of the good ones. I have met some good Catholics too.

DAIN----Hundreds of Protestant ministers Are and Have been converting to the 2000 year old church. Many are starting to take a look at verses in the bible that point directly at the Catholic church. EG: the CHURCH is the AUTHORITY and the CHURCH is the PILLAR and FOUNDATION of TRUTH. Many are seeing for the first time that No Where in the bible does it say "the bible is the only source of truth or authority". Studies by US universities have found No More abuse in the RCC. than in Protestant churches or synagogues. They found abuse is TEN times worse in the general male population and 100 times worse in the Public [ Protestant ] Schools ! Media ? Where is the Media ?

History tells us the earliest use of the word 'Catholic' is from Ignatius of Antioch around 107-110AD and simply means 'universal'. Christ set up his Church for all. So how Protestants can say the Catholic Church started with Emperor Constantine is baffling.

One of the biggest obstacles in becoming Catholic for many converts is overcoming the hardcore indoctrination “against” the Catholic Church that is prevalent, particularly in fundamentalist groups. After all, the United States was founded with the prevalence of anti Catholicism. In the old South anti Catholicism even took on a violent expression at times. Anti Catholicism is definitely a feature of Americanism. Viva Cristo Rey!

There is massive massive massive corruption that is associated with Catholicism. And the way Catholicism treated them Heretics in Europe led to anti-catholicism in America because my family was impacted by it. The way French Catholic treated its huguenots is disgusting. They came specifically 2 avoid religious persecution in their homelands. So it's a two-way street. Even Mexico has more than a few examples of treating protestantism there and second-class citizens. When I see drug cartels operating in the United States, or the rise of socialism and nitwit thinkers, the growth of gambling joints, beer and drug consumption, and national lotteries. When I see organized criminal gangs. Who pushed all of this cesspool culture? What do you think about Mafia leaders who disguise all the evil they did when they have these elaborate Catholic funerals? Catholicism may have its beautiful statues and nice masses beautiful churches and so forth but it has become a politically correct Institution. It doesn't fight usury and international banking because it has succumbed and been polluted by their agents. No I believe Protestant voices are still very very very necessary. Protestantism is losing butt it is a necessary voice to balance corrupt groupthink in the world we live in.

Homero Sanchez “The Protestant Reformation in England and Ireland” by William Cobbett, a Protestant. Protestants are guilty of genocide, thievery, corruption, and all manner of vice against Catholics. In fact, International Masonry is responsible for persecution of the Catholic faith in Mexico in the early 20th century. Protestantism is merely a hodge-podge of competing and feuding sects that only agree on breaking away from the Catholic Church five hundred years ago. The apostasy of modernism is present in all western religious groups, including the Catholic Church. Viva Cristo Rey!

@@petertherock7340 what happened to my last post did they delete it? Catholicism and protestantism are both corrupt. That is why it is much harder for them to sell their faith to anyone. Catholic Nations have either massive agnostics or very corrupt Practices that can certainly be tied back to the so-called people of faith. I think the Catholic Church does a lot of good things. But when I see these so-called Catholic Nations and all the corrupt they have and then I realized how protestantism has been more and more corrupted in the Modern Age by Lottery, gambling casinos, drugs and alcohol, and mafias - it is so difficult to sell any religion with all that garbage. Is protestantism a bunch of competing sects and some of them very much potential cults? Of course it is. I tried to convert to Catholicism and if it had not have taken so long I would have converted. But I did not and so I guess I live in a type of purgatory and have re-evaluated Christianity that I love but realize it may be headed toward being flushed down the toilet. It obviously can't react to what is going on in the world today because if it is I don't see it.

Homero Sanchez Corruption is not a problem with God, Christ, or Religion per se. Corruption is a fact of sinful human existence since the fall of Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. The early Church founded by Christ in the time of Jesus and the apostles was also corrupt. Judas Iscariot betrayed the Lord for 30 pieces of coin. The rest of Church history confirms that the Church is both human and divine. In the Old Testament period the people of God, who received the Law and made a Covenant with YHWH, became apostate, worshipped idols, sacrificed their children to demons, and forsook the Lord their God. At no time did God ever send a single prophet to tell the people: “Leave my Temple! I will choose another people for myself since the children of Israel are wicked!” No, God sent prophet after prophet to the people to warn them: “Return to Me, with all your heart. Keep my covenant and obey my commandments.” When the people continued to disobey the Lord, He sent pagan nations against them to punish them and carry many away captive. Catholics are built for combat with those inside the Church who corrupt themselves and with those outside the Church who oppose Christ. Only the Church in Heaven is perfected. The Church Militant on earth is engaged in battle. By redefining the “church,” Protestants only dug a deeper hole for themselves. If you will not fight, bleed, and die for your King and Savior, then why should you expect a place in His Heaven later? There is no cheap grace for God’s holy Church on earth. Matthew 16: 24. Viva Cristo Rey!

@Walter We do not praise her as a God, nor a goddess, our blessed Virgin Mary is his mother whom we ask to intercede for us. Now think about this, when we pray out loud, do you think that only God can hear us? Would you agree that the enemy can hear us too, the bad spirits, etc. If so, how can they hear us if they're dead. With that being said, our blessed Virgin Mother Mary can also hear us. She prays to her son and our God Jesus Christ for us. Who in this world that follows the 10 commandments does not listen to their mother, or do what their mother asks of them? The catholic religion is not man made if we as Catholics have more books in the bible than other religions. That would mean other religions have chose to only believe what they wanted to believe about christianity, and leave out what they refuse to acknowledge. Even in religion, the truth hurts. Because once somebody knows, they cannot act like they didnt hear it, but if they do, then eventually their conscience would eat away at them, until, they either convince themselves otherwise by drilling false facts into their heads or being ignorant. Ignorance is not key, ignorance kills almost as fast as stress does. Which by the way stress is among the top 3 reasons of diseases and death. With knowledge comes responsibility. With responsibility comes consequences. May God bless you friend, and may he grant you the holy spirit and discernment through the holy spirit ❤🙏

I was raised with in a loving catholic/Irish culture. I was taught to pray and focus within taking care to show love and compassion and strength in faith. Catholics don’t preach or quote bible making points or arguments. The relationship is not proving how much you know.. the knowledge has been gathered over centuries and the structure of learning and teaching is again ancient and heritage vast. The journey is yours judging others is not path we go down. Rosary meditation novena saints days etc all help individuals journey of faith. I am not sure what I believe at times but my catholic family created a faith within me that is deeply felt. I am grateful and full of grace.

Please keep me in prayer. Feeling led to become Catholic. I have been slowly healed in my deep anti Catholic beliefs and attended Regent University for Biblical and Theological studies, (I'm a senior) it was through there I learned of the early church and the Orthodox, Lutheran and Catholic faiths. God has taken me up on my prayer at a krogef parking lot wanting to truly know Christ and His church and what Christianity fully is. Still not there. Pray for my wife who is a non believer and I have family of protestants and quakers. Pray that Chridt would use me to do His will and share the message of coming Home to Christ and His Church. Pray that I the Lord opens the door for me to step through. Great video. God bless you all. In Christ
