Keith has over 20 years of business valuation experience as well as being trained as an engineer. In addition to managing the Bonhoeffer Fund’s portfolio, Keith serves as an advisor to Willow Oak Asset Management. He is a CFA charterholder and received his MBA from UCLA. He has held positions with Empire Valuation Consultants, PwC, Management Consulting & Research, and served as a captain in the U.S. Air Force.

I always learn a lot whenever I talk to Keith. The categories are an interesting concept. I hadn't heard of the Morgan Stanley paper but Boston Consulting came up with the four box matrix (high /low growth and high/ low profit) in the 1960s. The categories were Star (high high), Dog (low low) and Cash Cow (yes they coined this term for low growth and high profit). Will look for the MS paper. Thanks for the great interview.
