Thank you to Gear Best for providing this product for review...this is the Keith Titanium Pot set. I was looking for a lightweight option to add to my backpacking gear and this cooking set was a great option. Take an initial look at this set, as a start to a small series of videos that will focus on cooking systems and cooking options.

You can push the handles into each other so they cross and stick together, thats the idea behind them.

I think you're right...I found that is how I managed to keep them in place. It's still a bit floppy, but has not bothered me after a couple years of use. Thanks for watching!

Thanks on the Keith Ti Cookware and I just got my 1st Ti-Camping Cookware the TOAKS Titanium 1600ml Pot with Pan

I think you meant to say stainless steel not aluminum

I have a ton of Keith titanium cookware and have yet to see one with bad handles. To ME they are top notch, well designed products. The canteen set is my favorite!

After quite a bit of field use, I overall think this is a great set. I definitely had floppy handles...as you could see, but overall it's a great set and is perfectly fine for normal use.

That 1 liter pot you compared is a stainless set. Aluminum is lighter that titanium. Just softer and less durable.

Thanks for the video, I have a Toaks 750ml Titanium (grade1 or 2) and I reallise that I make a good choise. The handels don't move and I have measuring mark on it. At a cheap price 30 dollars. I think that it's a high quality product from china.

The more I've used these pots, the more I like them...they've actually been pretty solid after over a year on the trail...not as nice as Toaks or some other brands, but they do the job and rather well. Thanks for watching!

@@outerlimitless I want to thank you for the video, you do it so honestly ! There is a lot of brand and each one have + and - . At the end it just a question of preferences.

Very Informative again. With jiggly handles you won't need Bear Bells 👍🏼 :)

HAha! Good point! What do you think? Am I overly sensitive to that, or is it a valid complaint?
@bishopmoon

I definitely look at the build quality on handles. A valid complaint in my opinion.

i have the snowpeak, i think i will stick with that, handles fit better, and for me i like to have the ounce and liter markings on the pot.........
@outerlimitless

Yes, I was curious about the other brands...I'll have to get a snowpeak for a comparison video.

You didn’t count the 400 over the 1,2 when you did the weight so 1,6 total was more less than 1 from the aluminium however a good good video

China also happens to be the country with the largest deposits of titanium ore and production. So it would make reasonable sense to manufacture there.
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 7 лет назад
I was wondering if that was the case...do you know if most of the titanium products are manufactured there...I guess I never really compared the other brands.

Keto Bushcraft -- Maybe so on Earth, but the Moon contains a much higher percentage of Ti, or so I've heard.

Yup, my Snowpeak Ti gear doesn't have jiggly and misaligned handles to THAT degree, definitely suspect..
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 7 лет назад
Great...thanks for looking into that! Yeah, kinda flimsy for an otherwise decent pot. These things are like $80ish. Shouldn't have flompy handles! Thanks for writing!

I feel for you brotha, for a $90 price tag it should be much better. The sad thing is that there are three different names for these titanium pot sets, Keith being the main one. Health pro is one of them, its the exact same set for only $40. Alot of people push the Keith brand. They are just cheap. look up Health pro next time your in the market for titanium cookware, that way you won't pay the price for say, a Toaks or sno peak. Good review, have a good one.
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 7 лет назад
I was always wondering about that Health pro set. Almost bought one once, but ended up with the Keith. I'd be interested in still getting the Health Pro to do a side by side. I'll do some research...maybe that would make for an interesting video. What is the third brand, do you know off hand?
@georgebgoode
@georgebgoode 6 лет назад
I just bought an identical set, branded, 'FinessCity.' 47 GBP in the UK. No wobbly handles on mine. I'm certain that all these are made in the same factory in China and just branded with various names. I'm very pleased/impressed with the quality of the item I bought. Same market site had the 'Keith' version on offer for 57 GPB.

I haven't tested them for Lead, but they are light enough that I would be surprised if they have lead.

Why are measurements so important to everyone?......just a thought. I have never "measured" specifically any amount of water....
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 5 лет назад
I get what you're saying...I generally don't need measurements, but I can see why some people would want it. Water treatment, making food mainly. But to your point, it doesn't bother me with or without graduations.
@rochellerober5136
@rochellerober5136 4 года назад
I can't speak for everyone, but if you prepare your own food, say dehydrated foods, and you don't want to put too much water in your pot then the gradations help you judge the amounts correctly. Of course over time one can get by with an eyeball judgement but it helps to save resources by being just that little bit more sure.... Also if you bake while on the trail then knowing how much liquid is involved is handy.

i dont beleibe its titanium bcos titanium is as SHINY AS STAINLESS STEEL

They are definitely WAYYY stronger than stainless...my stainless pots are all dented and squashed in funny oval shapes. These are still mint...

Ok, sorry. Please don't do anymore reviews of products you haven't even used. And the aluminium pot-- looks like SS to me, but what do I know.

Yes, I realize I mis-spoke and said aluminum. I realized I did that after I posted the video. But, ok...did you not see the title was "A First Look and Initial Impressions"?? That comes before it's used...so I don't understand your comment. And why do you care?

Actually, "aluminum" is correct in the US and Canada. "Aluminium" is correct in Europe.

Good review. Will definitely avoid this set. Does not look like the coating on those handle will hold up to fire. Would melt and get very gross.
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 5 лет назад
I have used these rather regularly and they have held up for the most part. I use them with a burner and not over the fire...but yes, I believe over a fire it would be kinda rough.

So don't put them in the flame... put the pot on coals and the handles upwind... even if the silicon coating melted off - so what? Use them without the coating, no big deal. That's a rather shallow excuse not to purchase since most other cook sets have similar handle coatings.

The major difference in these titanium sets is the quality of construction and the grade of titanium used. Snow Peak and Evernew are expensive because they used grade 1 pure titanium. Vargo uses grade 2. All these other cheap chinese manufacturers like Keith, Health Pro, and any off brand use at least a grade 4 if not worse. Toaks I will never buy because they use grade 5 which has a bit of aluminum in it, it's an alloy and not pure titanium. Be careful what you pay for.
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 6 лет назад
Wow...never knew that...very interesting. I thought Toaks was nice...although I don't really own any Toaks, so that was just my impression. Vargo has been solid for me.

Dude...$45.... What do you expect? Want better quality? Spend more money...
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 6 лет назад
Dude...I didn't buy them...so I have no bias towards price...and I don't go into any situation "expecting" anything. It is my job to evaluate a product. It is my job to point out the good or the bad. It is my job to give my impression and let people know what I find, how things work for me and make suggestions to my viewers. If I get an impression that can be justified one way or another based on the price of a product, or related to another comparable product, I will do so. It is my job to point out quality and features in a way that people can relate to it and based on my experience with similar products. So, I guess I don't understand who you are directing your comment to?
@outerlimitless
@outerlimitless 6 лет назад
However, I have used these quite extensively at this point and they have performed quite well. Apart from the handles, they have been an excellent set.
