Both Brad and Keith played with the late Glen Campbell - one of the most underrated guitar players ever. For a smoking hot instrumental, check out Glen and Roy Clark playing Ghost Riders in the Sky.
These two are such great guitarists. I first heard Keith Urban when I saw Brooks and Dunn in concert. We decided to walk around and wait for Brooks and Dunn and a few other during their Neon Circus tour. All of sudden we heard this guitar playing and had to rush to our seats to check him out. Been a fan of his ever since. I also always love hearing Brad play the guitar. The way he plays it in his song “Old Alabama” is amazing.
These two are both awesome & one of my favorite things about country artists is that they love to collaborate with each other. Surprising duets like Jelly Roll & Lainey Wilson for example. The artists tend to support one another rather than 'compete' like enemies. Watch any awards show & you will see all the stars in the audience singing along with all the performances. Nobody is 'too cool' to acknowledge the competition.
I am hesitant to make such a matter of fact claim. Especially with history being so full of good musicians. But I think Brad Paisley might be the greatest guitarist that has ever walked the Earth. Not only can he come up with guitar rifts off the top of his head just as well or even better than anybody else. He can also instantly mimic any other guitar players style perfectly on his first shot. My favorite story about him was going to jazz fest in 08 or 09 can't remember which. I saw him on stage with that iconic water blue guitar. He said he wanted to try something out on us and it was just the guitar for a song that was going to be on his album fifth gear that was coming out in a few months. I've heard it on the CD but to see him try and play a guitar that fast is something else you literally couldn't see his fret hand it was moving so fast. It was like watching neo play guitar in the matrix. George Strait has more number one hit songs than any artist of any genre in all of history....... Brad Paisley is going to beat him before it's all said and done mark my words
@@natecloe8535 not even close. ever heard of Allan Collins, Jimmy Page, Gary Rossington, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, Steve Gaines, Eddie Van Halen, Mark Knoffler? I'm not the least hesitant to say all these guitarists and many more are better than Paisley.
@@natecloe8535 8: Mark Knopfler. ... 7: Eddie Van Halen. ... 6: Brian May. ... 5: Chuck Berry. ... 4: Eric Clapton. ... 3: David Gilmour. ... 2: Jimi Hendrix. ... 1: Jimmy Page.
Keith and Brad are two of my favorites, regardless of genre. Different styles, but both wonderful artists/musicians! And people. I was SO EXCITED when this collab came about, and love both the live performance and the video. They have so much fun together!! If you haven't discovered it yet, check the entire album that this song is on. It's called "PLAY", and is mostly all instrumentals. It showcases his guitar talents across various genres of music. Also, Keith has some instrumentals from his very early days, "Rollercoaster" and "Clutterbilly". Both worth checking out for Keith's gymnastic style.
Brad is fire!!!!! Went to see him recently. A bluegrass jam thar went straight into Prince’s Purple Rain then segued into Van Halen’s Hot For Teacher!! I’ve seen nearly ALL the guitar greats, he’s just another on that list. He’s a SERIOUS player!!!! Great reaction!!
#StartABand #BradPaisleyAndKeithUrban #LoveLoveLoveTheseGuys. Thanks for reacting to this song! How long are you gonna make us wait to hear you play Sebs? Lol! I've been waiting patiently! Megadeath, Metallica songs or whatever you want to play Sebs. #BringItOn
Brad and Keith are big buddies and have collaborated on several things over the years. While I like them both singularly, my fav is Keith’s style. By the way Sebs, if you haven’t watched the video of Keith performing “To Love Somebody” by The Bee Gees live, please critique it. An amazing performance! ❤️your channel!!
Both are top-tier and can play anything well! I lean more towards rock and blues so Kieth gets the slight nod from me. Brad is a class act through and through. What a cool jam!❤
Brad Paisley is probably one of the best technical guitarists around today. He was the closing act for CMC Rocks at Willowbank Queensland in September 2022. He was very good, dgmw, but it felt like there was something missing... maybe he was still a bit jet-lagged, but it didn't seem like his heart was really in it... they choppered him in, he did his hour and a bit set and choppered out again... I've seen video of his shows that had more heart than what we got. In all honesty, some of the lesser known support acts were way better value... but it's just my simple opinion...😏 🙃🐨🇦🇺
Both great ❤️❤️❤️❤️. I love the video of Keith Urban, Vince Gill, and Chris Stapleton performing together playing just guitars no vocals till the end when Keith finishes singing “blue’s not your color”. Check it out just a great impromptu video in a small venue.
I've been a fan of country for decades, among other genres, and I've noted over the years that country singers do seem to get along remarkably well even when their backgrounds are quite different, as with Brad and Keith. Unfortunately recently a few country singers have attempted to demonize others simply because of expressed views which those with an ideological bent view as political. I hate to see corrosive political intolerance afflict any genre, but especially country. The few politically prejudiced artists need to live and let live. If they think they have a political view of value to offer they should attempt to do so through their music, not by attacking others.
Idk, politics affect people's lives deeply, and sometimes it's hard to reconcile when those you love are directly hurt by the political choices of others. There's a big difference between views that actually have repercussions and differences of opinion on things like food or music. A lot of people say anger over that kind of thing is disrespectful, but I empathize with it. When you have friends or family who have struggled because of certain political leanings, it's harder to look at it all as "just politics".
This is still my favorite male duet of two country artists. Not a group prior. That would be Dan and Shay. I love bopping to it. Also id actually recommend a different Keith Urban song. "You'll think of me". I think you'd enjoy his more heartfelt stuff about his wife, but it's one of his oldest and best hits that still holds up today. Peace.
Brad is a prankster and he pranked Carrie when she was on stage singing the song remind me couple months later she got him back go check the pranks out
I think this is the third reaction of yours I've seen and you have a new subscriber! As far as country lead guitar? You won't find much better than Brad Paisley! His songs usually do one of two things. Make you laugh or make you think and appreciate what you love and have. If you want to laugh and hear some insane guitar work? Let me suggest Brad Paisley's song "Alcohol"!
“Anything worth doing, is worth doing badly. If I’m unwilling to perform a task badly, I can’t expect to make progress toward learning to do it well. The only task that I can pretend to perform perfectly is the one that I have left entirely undone.” ~ Author unknown
Please watch Keith with Neil Rogers: Somebody like you!! Keith is also a funny guy and it's always enjoying to see how happy he looks and so the artists he collaborates.
Went to see Jewel some years ago & Brad Paisley performed too. He was better than i expected. ❤ Keith Urban. He's very sexy! Both can really play guitars! Yes, tge award show version is the best!!
You should check out a song called "Keith" by Kaylee Bell, it's a song she wrote about Keith Urban, and she actually performed it on The Voice Australia, where Keith Urban is a coach, you should watch both that performance and the music video.
There's a great video somewhere on RU-vid of Brad Paisley and Brian Setzer having fun. Setzer is also an awesome guitarist. Actually that might be Setzer with Marty Stuart and Ricky Skaggs. Can't remember now. I know Setzer, Skaggs and Stuart performance was definitely fire.
Playing a tele through an AC30 or Dr Z just gives it that bite & snap. Keith likes to play a Gibson through a Fender... Brad is also one of country's finest player's.
That line "never buy a beer again" kind of gets to me. It's very reminiscent of what just happened with the rock and Oprah. Where these 2 celebrities 1 a multi-millionaire and the other a multi-billionaire and the wealthiest female to ever live. And they're gonna come out and ask low and middle class Americans to donate money to the maui wildfire instead of going to their multi-millionaire friends to help. And the best that we as a country could give them was $700 per family. Oprah Winfrey could have completely rehoused and repaired all of the damaged property from the Maui wildfires and she would still be a billionaire afterwards. Nope she puts it on you and me. Who aren't multi billionaires And are presently having trouble affording groceries and gas. So why the hell do people buy famous band members drinks? Why aren't the band buying the fans drinks?
