Got to see the highwaymen live. just superb, and even get to sing his songs once in a while. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-pDngdbdZ1V8.html
Ole Keith did a durn good job with that one no matter what, we always have to remember that everyone is gonna have their own style on an instrument. How boring would music be if everyone was the same?
The way Marty Stuart calls the guitar an old friend sent chills down my spine. Just heartwarming! A lot of people talked shit on Keith for having the guitar... Marty Stuart said he experienced the same when people got wind he had Clarence. For an Aussie to show respect to the greats like Keith Urban does, I think the guitar is in great hands.
100%. I think all those old guitars should be like Stradivarius violins... let them be played! Who gets SRV's #1, EVH's Frankenstein, or Randy Rhoads' Polka dot V, that can be discussed, but the guitars should be out there making music.
Nicole Kidman bought it for him for 98k. Keith Urban was wrong though. That is not a Telecaster. It is a Broadcaster. That model was before the Telecaster.
Keith & Marty are always good together and apparently have great respect for each other as musicians. I love to hear them together no matter what the haters say!
Call it what you will.. Waylon would have loved it ! It Kicks Ass , Its got me here tappin my feet and singin' along ! Good ol' American Country Music..Thanx Marty & Kieth ! Hats off 2 U !
Some good talent right there Love Keith Urban-such an awesome guitar player Good to look at. His voice is good as well. What can I say about Marty, he has been around for awhile also nice to look at. Great voice and guitar player
@@alchilds3710 mate Keith is real thing Marty is good but I'm not big fan of his music or songs Keith on the other hand hug fan of and hopefully get to see him Live in concert
@@lawrencemclaughlan1545 right so you like the modern so called country music. I am not a fan of Keith at all nor any others that had topped the charts in the last 20 years. Now Marty has been in the business since 1969 and still chugging along. He plays the real good ole country. All opinions though and I do respect yours.
I saw Waylon play that guitar at Richard's in Atlanta way back when. Had a beer with him but didn't know who he was. I was a rocker but Richard's had good acts regardless of genre and when he opened with "This Time" I thought "Holy Smoke!" Been a fan ever since.
It's got to be tough being on the stage with Marty Stewart. He puts all the great guitar players to shame. Many say Clapton but I'm not so sure about that.... Long live Marty Stewart.
Fantastic! Just look at how much fun they are having ! Marty has become a cool cat and Keith is so awesome and yet so graciousat the same time...I love this stuff !
I love the Marty Stuart show!! Wish they would've let Gary Carter take a steel ride on that one. I heard the Mooney Lick Gar!! Great job all around, loved the lead play by both Marty and Kieth. Marty you've had Paul Franklin on now you need Brent Mason on the show.
Never realized how distinctive Waylon's guitar was- sounds to me like 3 sounds are coming out of that Strat. come on doug- MS takes chances and pulls it off. Urban, was one of the ""countries who sought out a session with Glenn C. as he slipped away.
+James Boyd Waylon's main guitar was a '53 Telecaster and he had a few of those. One with white pickguard and EMG pickups and one with black pickguard and original Telecaster pickups. Now this one Keith's playing here is a '50 Broadcaster. It was one of Waylon's less used guitars, since it was too heavy. He gave it to Reggie Young at some point and Reggie had to sell it for some reason. Keith's wife bought it for him for Christmas.
একটি স্বাধীন-জীবিত মানুষ প্রেম নিচ্ছেন .... সুন্দরী, সবসময় পাগল হয়েছি ...👍❤ Lyrics: I've always been crazy and the trouble that it's put me through I've been busted for things that I did, and I didn't do I can't say I'm proud of all of the things that I've done But I can say I've never intentionally hurt anyone I've always been different with one foot over the line Winding up somewhere one step ahead or behind It ain't been so easy but I guess I shouldn't complain I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane Beautiful lady, are you sure that you understand The chances you're taking loving a free-living man Are you really sure, you really want what you see Be careful of something that's just what you want it to be I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane Nobody knows if it's something to bless or to blame So far I ain't found a rhyme or a reason to change I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane
You know the bad thing about it is that some of 'em actually have the talent if they'd just do real country instead of being wannabe pop stars. I could name a buttload of todays country "stars" that would sound so awesome if they actually did real country music, but they don't and I don't listen to 'em.
No matter what you think of Keith Urban, and I'm on the fence on that one, mainly because I don't follow 99% of the so called country music that has appeared in the last 15 years or so, remember this, Waylon's songs aren't the easiest to cover exactly the way he did 'em because hardly anyone had a rythm quite like Waylon's. I sit in with my Dad and his band during their practice and jam sessions, and my Dad has done probly every Waylon song there is.
@willemjansma At least Waylons guitar is in the hands of a great guitarist and a great man. Keith is one of the best guitarists in Country music right now. And dont be mad at Marty for being able to see the great talent that Keith has. RU-vid has lots and lots of videos with Waylon in them so if you dont like this, dont watch it and dont make stupid comments on it. Oh and btw thats a 1950 Broadcaster not a 1952 Telecaster
@@patfiddle9051 Hi There Pat, Welcome to NZ mate, Of course, you know that Kieth Urban is a Kiwi. Not many people can play as good as the Americans with a Tele in their hands, But have to say that old Kieth didn't have a "B" bender on his guitar like Marty did,, but he was Up to the standard of those two other great Tele players on the stage. So a bit of credit where credit is due
@prestonashley Saying someone is one of the greatest is not the same as saying someone is the best in the world. And your right Keith is a great singer, but he is also a great guitarist. I doubt Garth Brooks would have asked him to play guitar on tour with him back in the day if Keith wasnt a great guitarist. And I was talking about the Workin Man Blues vid when I was talking about the different styles.
scott elliott yeah it doesn't make since a true country legend.with what people call a "great country player" with him.he's good but not like Mart Stuart and Merle Haggard
You guys do realize that's not the one Waylon played most of the time? The white pick guard guitar is still with the Jennings family, this is a different one from the one Hoss played for years.
Ryan Wile It's a Squire that Nicole got suckered into paying close to $10,000 for. Keith didn't have the heart to tell her it was just a toy and she got ripped off, so he put some new pickups in it and got it sounding pretty good. There used to be a video of Marty laughing at Keith before the show, but it got taken down.
Yes I do play, and that is why I'm stating fact....Urban only know one style of guitar playing, and yes he knows it well, but the others I previously stated ALL have not limited themselves to one style, therefore, not only are they more proficient players, but they also have more knowledge.... I simply took offense to Keith Urban being referred to as "One Of The Best Guitar Players In Country Music", that is not true......
Preston Cave I agree Brent Mason is the best EVER!!! But Kieth Urban is no slouch either and he is quite capable going beyond his style of music which is exactly what he did with the above song. The fact is in listening to his own music and what he comes up with on the guitar one can tell quite easily that he has IT. If he had chosen to devote himself solely to the guitar, he would do quite well as a studio musician in Nashville I suspect.
A good performance. It's just that Waylon's vocal delivery actually sounded a bit crazy when he delivered it. I think they might have nailed Waylon's cover of Rodney Crowell's "Ain't Livin' Long Like This" had they chosen it instead
@prestonashley Thats like comparing Hendrix to Clapton. Two completely different styles of playing. You dont have to like a every style but you should at least respect the abilities of the artist. Btw ive seen the vid and tone wise hes completely different from the rest of them. And if you wanna talk about outta place in that vid talk about father time over there on the mandolin. Dont get me wrong i love some good ol Skaggs bluegrass. Just dont bring a knife to a gun fight.
Blame "New Country" radio for playing a lot of the shit you hear today. You would think they would play Cash Waylon Jones Owens Haggard Robbins ext. once an hour - Nope. Thats why in the morining and at night I listen to WSM 650. Eddie Stubbs is the best.
