I know what the problem was with his guns, it was TRS: Toy Review Syndrome symptoms: your toys purposely making you look bad, lots of laughter, being unable to talk properly and thinking people online are laughing at you
Emgo I think you sould make your own masterpiece and emgo if there is such thing as rebol labels which you said in this video could you pls give me the king for that wepsite and thx.
Oh and that would be epic if you find out how to make your own masterpiece and I think I sub to you like in 3 years now and I have been what China your videos sice then and I am a big fan of your transformers vid and transformers masterpiece vids.
this video inspired me to buy my first third party transformer!! it just looked so cool and now i have it and i love it, thank you for the recommendation!!
Yea....upon seeing this in the first few seconds I was about to get in my car and drive down to the nearest KFC. Had me going there for a second Emgo XD, lol
Awesome! ..i think those are tweeters on Blaster. No way plastic!?, how could you? ...have to have DIE CAST! They should of just not painted it... also yes that paint job isn't so good, is that rubbing off too in cassette mode? I still think it's better than stickers though. I always remember the G1 stickers peeling off.
The blue piece is their attempt to give light piping to the cartoon head. Which many have had issues keeping on the peg. Where it pops back and looks like he lost his neck. The guns popping out is common annoyance too. I completely agree that HiFi is the weakest part. Those little tabs on his feet and back are prone to break due to the cheap quality of the plastic and how thin they are. The only time mine was in cassette mode was when it was in the box. None of the official MP cassettes have diecast, so that was an odd choice. I've been waiting for Reprolables to do a set since it came out last year. I might just have to break down and get the logo set so his cassette door chest doesn't look so empty.
Oooooh. Shiny! Like, I would love to see a MP Soundwave done up wit the chrome paint like that. It looks really good. Only a few tiny things I would change on this guy if they ever did a second run: - Double up on those elbow and knee joints if possible for articulation. - Hip skirts for better range at the hips. - Change the peg/slot locations on the gun and hand. I don't know if I'm just crazy, but it seems like the points they were molded into were making it too hard to fully fit the peg in. But those are only minor little suggestions and nowhere near game-breaking. I really wish I had the money & space to collect and show off these Masterpiece toys.
Kentucky Fried Chicken didn't make KFC toys and Keith's fantasy Club not Kentucky Fried Chicken see it's not made by Kentucky Fried Chicken it's made by Keith's fantasy club
would you recommend this whole set if you are just getting into masterpiece figures?? i am a HUGE fan of blaster and i need one to go to scale with my Mp10. Thoughts??
Were the soundwave hands in a particular issue? The toy i have is more a red then that metallic looking color and i dont think my box came with the new hands.
Hey Emgo, Do you think the guns are popping out because the heat from your lights? The plastic is expanding and making it harder to stay in place. Just a theory.
I think the speaker hands was a hat tip to the g1 season 2 episode about the decepticons running a new york night club hypnotizing humans. in the final battle blaster an soundwave had a sound off hitting eachother with sound attacks and blaster took speakers from the club set up to amplify his sound attack to win. also that extra blue accessory might be something of a shoe horn or wedge for either popping off hifi's head or to get a stuck cassette out of transistor. just a guess though, no evidence or anything on that one.
Love the review. Possible solution for the guns popping out can you move the stock up any at its joint? It looks like they hit the forearm/elbow and keep the gun from pegging in properly
The blue plastic piece is for blasters head if you look at the back you can pull out the blue solid eyes and put in the transparent plastic piece for lighted eyes.
Got this expecting to have so much trouble with the guns... mine work perfectly. No dodgy paint on Rewind either. Guess they fixed it. Beautiful figure. Wish his hips were slightly more accurate, but that’s about it.
I'd have to say that, flexibility wise, Hifi is the best cassette transformer that I have ever seen. In fact, I think he's the first one I've ever seen with ball joints.
I have a few things to say jokes and all. 1. The back of the head looks a bit like Warpath. 2. Sounwave: Now i finnaly have superior hands. 3. The cassete looks like a cassete, and to me and that is okay. 4. Hey Rewind what songs do you have Rewind: Only Vanila Ice songs ... kiiil meee. 5. You can also use the toy head as the comicbook head.
Love your reviews... And your skits... Was wondering what are your top 3 favorite masterpiece transformers and also your top 3 favorite 3rd party masterpiece transformers
emgo316, love the 1986 movie reference at the start of the video :) If this does not go well we will all look like burnt out toaster oves in the morning...
Good review! The blue piece is to give him light piped eyes. I recently got this guy and thing his is pretty good. If the paint was more bullet proof I would say he is excellent.
Tygr Trax P.S. you don't have to flip the hands in to transform him, which can be dodgy but if you don't flip them in there'll still be plenty of space for them in boom box mode. I also found that I have to keep his head turned slightly to keep from rubbing when going into boom box mode.
The speaker hands are a reference to that one episode where starscream and soundwave hypnotize people in dancitron and soundwave and blaster have sonic warfare
Wow he looks great. I like how his transformation is so clean with nothing sticking out. Very nice. KFC aka Kentucky Fried Chicken. And I guess Optimus can't take the beat. Ha. Great review emgo😃
Has anyone had issues with the figures right arm?.... on two copies i have the wrap around piece does not want to stay tabbed in like emgo's seems to.... and on both copies the head flap feels some what loose.... did i just get lucky to get two bad copies or did emgo get lucky and get the only good copy of the figure? And if any of you figured out what the issue with either the head or the arm was and how to fix it please let me know thanks
FYI I have a later version of Transistor. My Hi-Fi has plastic arms not diecast and no paint problems. But on the downside transistor has normal red paint, not metallic.
Nothing to do with the metal why the paint comes off, it's because they never prepared it before using spray paint. If they used powder coat and baked it on instead of spray paint that wouldn't happen. Prefer metal parts over plastic any day, especially because of the price of them.
I actually got one yesterday my only problem with it is the hands getting stuck when transforming him I actually broke a thumb but thanks I had asoare articulated finger from a different set to attach but in all he's cool
OK love the figure and how it looks, but emgo you should have found a sound bite for the music effect he did cause it would have really made that skit freaking awesome and really make him pop for the skit, and also help on killing primes hearing for a week or more, lmao
Repro labels would definitely make the painted side of rewind look so much better if they could also cover all those tiny screws on his back. Way too many screws revealed in my opinion.
I think the paint on the cassette is maybe supposed to look that way. I mean, most cassette tapes from the 80's probably do look like that now, so MAYBE they were going for realism? Or maybe it's just cheap crap...
