You do realize most teams run zone right? From 2019-2021, the league average for running man coverage was 33.9%, and zone was 66.1%. But this year Zone coverage is up to 70%.

He ran a 4.35 40-yard dash coming out of high school. Too much copy and paste regarding his perceived faults, but he does not give up touchdowns. Some of his short area quickness and awareness could be better, but he will be a first-round draft pick. He's the most overly critiqued player in all of college football. There's not coach alive who knows defensive talent better than Kirby Smart. Kirby wants him out there for a reason.

He has great hands, size and length. Also the speed and vision to make big returns on picks. I don't know as much about his play-to-play flaws as you do, but I think there are coaches who feel they can work those things out. Marlon Humphrey comes to mind, in this regard. Really talented, but also was vulnerable to getting beat on routes. One year working with Harbaugh and he really cleaned a lot of that up. With the right coaching, these kinks may be worked out, and then a team will have a corner who has the rare kind of size to go with the bigger receivers today.
