As promised I recorded a video specifically going over the fees I pay at Keller Williams as a new agent. Please keep in mind that I am not sure if these fees apply to all Keller William offices around the country.
Thanks for watching and stay tuned for my next video!

I've been a Realtor for 30 years, so I'm being real by saying this to newer agents, don't focus on your commission split, focus on learning your skill set. KW has good training, the only downside I see with them, is that you are with so many other newer agents, so its tougher to learn by association. In my office, the skill set is very high, so the newer agents by osmosis are picking up needed skills. Plus as a mature Realtor, I'm not into working with lots of Buyers, so I give these leads to newer agents. Plus, I always have these agents do my Open Houses, so there is a great value in being with a firm that has training but also great opportunity to learn from experienced Realtors.

You did a great job breaking it down. It is a bit much but the training is phenomenal with KW and it is like working with a top notch school. So hey you want the be the best you have to work with the best

LPT Realty has a better commission split. 100 percent. A $5000 cap. You pay $500 on your first 10 transactions. After that, a $175 transaction fee. No "sign up" fee plus other agent support services. 😀

Do you think it's worth it to work for KW? I feel like they take a too much of your commissions
@mtngrl5859
@mtngrl5859 Год назад
They're actually very competitive in their commission structure. The old model when I got in business was new agents got 50% and their brokers got another 50%. For years, I made 70% and the broker got 30%.

I'm told their training is great! They offer a lot of free classes as well as courses that are not free, but you write this off in your taxes. I'm JUST starting out at KW and have done my due diligence in choosing a brokerage. In a random Chastin Miles (look up his channel) says to focus on training and not on commission. Training is key to success! The money will come as you learn how to bring in business and honestly serve the public.

I love KW for the training, but the mentorship program is a joke.

Glad I found this video ! I don’t know exactly what to do but I wanna get into being a real estate agent. KW is what keeps popping up on indeed and it seems like it could be fine. Would you recommend certainly having a job before going for this ? Any other tips in general ?!
@DraGnFly007

Noah, you first need to contact the Real Estate Association in your area. You may have to take a 40 hr course depending on your state. The Association will tell you what you need for classes. There is also a state and national exam that follows the course. You have to pass the exam(s). Once you do, you will receive your salesperson license. In my state, I received it from my state's Real Estate Commission. I am a new agent and just beginning with KW. I am a substitute teacher as well. Eventually I will go into real estate full time, but for now I have consistent income coming in as I start out. Some realtors choose to work part time and work a full-time job. It's your call. It's your business that you create under a brokerage. It doesn't hurt to check it out. In my state, we have up to 2 years to pass the exam. It took me 3 times but I passed. It doesn't matter how many times you fail, you only have to succeed once!
