I visited this castle about two years ago and I was very confused about why this place is haunted. There doesn't seem to have been a violent death there. The owners moved away and it makes no sense for him to be haunting the castle after his death. He abandoned it after all...

Kellies Castle so spooky. Meanwhile 2020 at front of Kellie's Castle there is new large housing place with many people live there. I doubt it will be spooky this time.
Amazing South Indian Tamil craftsmen. I believe that many Tamil people around this area are descendants of those craftsmen.I been to this temple once. Very unique. Sad that Kelly's dream didn't come true. HISTORY
Actually it was built purely as a personal middle-finger statement by Smith, a proud Scotsman, to the English beauracrats who ran Malaya at the time. They didn’t like the Scots and forbade him from building his home in their exclusive highland retreats. It was all about respect, acceptance, social status, elitism and class. Love had nothing to do with it at all.
Malaysian Govt groof up environment again, by letting the adjoining sales and marketing building built not matching back the similar designs of Kellie's Castle The whole scenery when taken by photograph shot, the outcome looks odds.. Not only such common mistake happened here, but the whole country with Heritage Buildings... and memorial sites... 😊😊
