they should really change or adjust this priority rule ...it was so frustrating to watch him cut Slater on this one. If those are the rules then show some f class? i mean i dont blame him, he wants to win "at all costs", and thats the difference between him and a truly great surfer I guess, winning yes but maybe with some class? nogt at any cost, not at the one of dropping on someone ... But this one was still less pathetic than what he did a year later at the Billabong Pipe masters ... idk. I really wanted to see Kelly surf that wave, even if Medina kinda killed it on this set.... he just is never as in harmony with the wave as slater but no other surfer really does. whatever my very long 2 cents!

Medina needs to learn the traditional conditions of professional surfing. he is an amazing talent, one of the best progressive surfers of all time- but time and time again he makes decisions which are legal in the WSL rulebooks but totally unsportsmanlike, such as his using priority to take Kelly's wave away from him before kicking out immediately. The rest of these surfers are great friends and that shows in their etiquette in the water, so why can't he do the same !!
