Lying beside you, here in the dark Feeling your heartbeat with mine Softly you whisper, you're so sincere How could our love be so blind We sailed on together We drifted apart And here you are, by my side So now I come to you with open arms Nothing to hide, believe what I say So here I am, with open arms Hoping you'll see what your love means to me Open arms Living without you, living alone This empty house seems so cold Wanting to hold you Wanting you near How much I wanted you home Now that you've come back Turned night into day I need you to stay So now I come to you with open arms Nothing to hide, believe what I say So here I am, with open arms Hoping you'll see what your love means to me Open arms
Kelly now this is amazing!!! Classics are always the best on acoustic and you bring it to a new level. There is no one on RU-vid who can play this song better then you. CONGRATS!!!!
I'll never understand why folks post something like this but not engage or at least be somewhat present in the comments - even just to say thanks for the compliments... anyways, good interpretation.
hello kelly, your videos are amazing, really like the way you play and seeing their videis I was very curious about what is that white part where you hit your palm, and that metal parts near the sixth string, could inform me What are these? Hugs!
KellyValleau I don't know if you read these comments, but if you do, could you do "listen to your heart" by d.h.t. not the roxette version. I find d.h.t.'s version to have slightly more feeling to it.
+Chinmay naringrekar I'm not Kelly, but I might have some tips for you. Barre chords are always a pain for people who are beginning to play guitar and sometimes even for people who've been playing awhile but avoid using full barre chords. Most of the problem lies in knowing how much strength is required to get a clear sound from the chord and in building the endurance to hold it down for as long as you need to. When placing your finger across the strings to barre them, make sure your finger is angled so that the side of the finger is doing the barring not the fleshy front of the finger. Also make sure that your thumb is placed behind the neck and that it is helping you to barre the strings by pressing into the neck. You should practice getting each string to ring clearly with just the barre before trying to play any shapes underneath.
You’re probably well past this problem by now lol, but for me it just came from trying songs that had barre chords and playing them even if all the notes weren’t coming through and eventually I developed the strength.
