I know this song is literally about a relationship. But I also sincerely relate to it with my depression. I can't remember sometimes what it's like to want to go outside and just feel the breeze. I can't remember why I should put on lipstick because I feel like I don't deserve to be pretty. But sometimes when I can see through the haze. I remember I'm good at art and go paint 3 pictures. I make up my face and go get some sushi. It's a breath of fresh air remembering that life can be enjoyed. I'm so glad you listened to this song.

That’s what music is for. It will reach into every nook and cranny . It’s supposed to do that. Stay strong, be a light, breathe . Joy is the resistance. There is a great song for you puzzler called this joy resistance revival choir. It helped me a lot in this year to get my feet on the floor and keep going.

The best part about this video is at the end you see she’s fighting herself. Like she’s fighting to get herself back. Kelsea is such an inspiration, ‘homecoming queen?’ has such meaningful lyrics and the video is too! Also, her 3rd album ‘ kelsea ‘ is out tomorrow at midnight!

I can totally relate to this song I was in a relationship where my ex fiancé was controlling he always telling me what to wear and not to and he separated me from my friends and family and he was cheating on me to and I lost myself in it and he was always telling me how he was the best thing ever happened and I was scared to lose him and scared of what would happen if I broke it off so when i realized what was happening with help from a friend getting courage from my friends I broke it off left the ring and everything and now I’m with someone new who is amazing to me this song is my song word for word

This is exactly what happened to me and my boyfriend. We were together for over 13 years, and I just broke up with him. I was emotionally starved, and very unhappy at the end. Now that I'm not with him anymore, I actually miss myself more than I miss him, which is saying a lot because I miss him like crazy. But I just remember the bad stuff to remember why I broke up with him, and it steadies me. But this song really resonates with me.

I had a similar situation, but with a corporate job. Once I could truly see what it took from me- I was put on a YEAR probation because I wore the socks the way I wanted (different colors). I wasn't allowed to sing, I wasn't allowed to read a book in down times, I wasn't allowed to wear comfortable clothes, I wasn't even allowed to take time off. I couldn't breathe, sometimes literally. After they fired me, claiming it was my fault I realized I'd given way too much up. Sadly because I kept myself in that situation for so long, it took me a few years to truly say I was who I was before.

This became my post-divorce anthem. When things are chipped away slowly over time, the changes are harder to notice and it’s easier to hide the manipulation but when the time comes and the rug gets pulled out from under you, you are suddenly able to look around and say “how the hell did I get here?!” I have fought like hell to find my way back to myself and I have decided that I would rather spend the rest of my life alone than to ever allow someone to put me in that position again.
