See how the Kemper's internal chorus stacks up against Boss CE-5, TC- Corona Chorus, Neunaber Inspire, Yamaha SPX-90, TC-1210, and Eventide H9 #BigHairyGuitars #Chorus #FXshootout
The Neunaber stacks up really well against the "big boys" here. I like that it does Chorus and Detune, like the H9 Tricerachorus, so you can get that instant "schmo". That 1210 is breathtaking!
🎯 Need to add an Inspire Plus to my pedalboard. Would be cool to hear it together with a DD-500..🤔 Circular delay and Tri-chorus.. Damn..😅 Pedals are getting closer to the real thing.
I was pleasantly surprised at how well the Kemper’s internal Chorus did against dedicated pedals. We all know how well Kemper has progressed in the delay and Reverb department, but I have not heard of any other effect comparisons. Thanks.
So funny about comment about stuff showing up when you click “buy”. If COVID doesn’t go away, I will replace all my pickups...The Huff and Soldano Kemper packs with chorus presets are the bomb and highly recommend! Michael thank you so much for what you do!
Yamahasymphony ooohhhhhh and tc1210 chorus, i can feel all the 80' s on my.so sticky and lovely tones. What are the setti gs o the yamaha symphony? Could you tell them please? Thanks
The symphonic patch just works great on distorted guitars as well as clean ones - I think that's outstanding. I usually don't like chorus pedals on distorted channels.
Did you ever think about making Kemper FX preset pack? I'd pay money for it. I have quite a lot of your profiles and, in latest packs, the effects are really cool. Neunaber sounds lush! (and I need to buy Corona Chorus just because.. ; )
Hey Michael, you should look into the waza CE2w if you want a an analog option that is not overly vintage. For digital native you can do a lot of coolness with H3000 plug since it has pitch shift delays and filtering. Very painful plug interface but can be made to sound decent if you put in the time. Sound toys can do a lot too but the sound is not quiet there if you turn on the eventide rack (to compare it). I have an H8000FW but at the end of the day I like modulated delays more than actual straight forward chorus. Cheers!
Hey Michael. I was watching one of your other videos where you were playing a Tran Red Friedman Tele. Holy Moly that guitar is a rock machine. I noticed you said it has Motor City pickups in it. Are those Friedman standard or did you have them installed aftermarket? If so why replace the Friedmans? Love your vids. Thanks!
It depends on what you're going for. The Trichorus ( Paul Jackson Jr, Mike Landau, Dan Huff, Michael Thompson) Is the sound ! for some styles of music.
I don't get why people act like the Kemper has bad effects. It may not have the number of effects that the Fractal has but I have always been able to get the sound I am looking for with minimal tweaking.
TC 1210 is what Lifeson used but the inspire is VERY CLOSE to nailing that tone. Shit, probably the best 80s rack pedal out there. Boss is great but not at the level of the inspire
You know, it is very annoying to have to fiddle with my phone for all of the H9 tweakery. I agree. The presets are really damn good though and I feel like pedals in general are for playing live. I guess what I’m saying is that it’s all just a pill I’m willing to swallow.
You cruel, cruel fiend. Why did you need to remind me how unbelievably good a 1210 sounds? Sold mine around 2010 for peanuts because subprime kataklysm & money being very tight. Now the cheapest one on Reverb is like 1500 quid. **uncontrollably sobs in Lifeson**
Dude you should have used a better amp model to demo this, the amp is too dirty to get a clear picture of the chorusing imo, maybe a Princeton amp model would have been better suited for this task, thanks anyway for the great demos👍
