Ken Caminiti blended brute power and acrobatic defense in his four seasons with the Padres. He was the first player in franchise history to win the National League MVP award, the unanimous choice in 1996 after batting .326/.408/.621 with 40 home runs and 130 RBI. A Silver Slugger, two-time San Diego All-Star and Gold Glover in three straight seasons (1995-97), Caminiti was posthumously inducted into the Padres Hall of Fame in 2016.
