Ken Loach classic adapted for stage 

The star of I, Daniel Blake is behind a new stage adaptation of the award winning film which will premiere at Northern Stage in Newcastle in May 2023. Stand up comedian Dave Johns, was a total unknown when he was cast in the lead role by director Ken Loach. Now the Geordie comic turned actor has been talking to Sharuna Sagar about why he agreed to write the play and how the weight of responsibility on his shoulders.
