Wow! A tow truck for boats! Never seen anything like it??? Simply beautiful photography ❤ And the Eagles……great shots!! What a location to camp!!! Dear David, you need to humor your bride and stay a day longer when she’s enjoying it so. It’s little things like that, that can give you regrets later on. 😇
Hi Sondra and David, another great video. So much coverage in this video. Spectacular footage, thanks 🙏 so much for every minute of this video. Like many of your videos, I think I need to watch this video again. I think I need to get some chocolate and ice cream 🍨 for myself, haha. See you on the next video.
Glad you enjoyed it, Harrison. You definitely need to break out the chocolate and ice cream! This was one for the books for sure. We enjoyed experiencing it and excited that you could share in our journey. See you next week!
Glad you enjoyed it! It was sooo surreal as we were doing it and then looking at the shots afterwards, was just a once in a lifetime unique experience. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
That was a very unexpected surprise tour and one that turned out to be unforgettable. It made our week! Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
Really liked this vlog. The drone footage off the train on the bridge was spectacular and the eagles, wow!.. thanks for all your efforts putting these together for us to enjoy. Blair & Mel xx 🏴
I believe I have seen every one of your videos. This has to be one of the top 3 ! Great job. Fabulous shots of the Majestic Bald Eagles ❤. Safe travels
Thank you so much, Mike. I think we agree with you on that ranking. This was a very unexpectedly fun week that we didn't have anything "major" planned. Glad you enjoyed it too.
Thank you very much. We were not expecting the train tour to be so eventful. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
Great photos. Sorry you got snowed out of Hatcher Pass. It is a great drive. Maybe later in the season ? You are having lots of fun. Great to see ! Cheers.
The road usually gets plowed though by July 1st. We like to drive over the pass in late August when the alpine reds and yellows are out. There is usually good blueberry picking then also.
That was the icing on the cake, Larry. We couldn't believe it when they allowed me to do that. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
LOL, you're very welcome, Laura. I hope you are doing well out in RU-vid land. I guess it's always fair skies in this land. LOL. Appreciate your time watching the channel.
I think she just wanted to homestead, Kris, for the rest of the summer at that campground! Lol. Loads of fun, appreciate the time you took to watch the channel.
Wow... Dog sled, Train, Chocolate Chip/Ice cream with ganache and nuts, warm fire, beautiful views, Eagles, Moose, fishing boats.... thats what it is all about - living life and filling your heart with wonderful memories. Just love watching your trip. Spectacular!!
Our channel is all about our fulltime travels and capturing those memories. We enjoy sharing with everyone and glad that you're along with us on the journey. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
This entire segment/episode of your trip were all of the adjectives like spectacular, paramount, awesome, breathtaking, beautiful, (you get the gist) so I'll just clap and say "Bravo!" Thoroughly enjoyed every moment....especially that unique Train ride!
Wow! Thank you sooo much for the kind words. It was a full week for sure! The train ride was unique and super fun to be a part of and experience. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
Thank you so much 😀 It was very unexpected to get the activity that we're getting and the growth of the channel. Very unexpected. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
I know, right, Deborah. We thought it was the coolest thing to see on the beach when we heard about this on our first trip to Alaska. It did not disappoint. Glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
It's hard to "tone it down" sometimes because I think it's just so spectacular (most of the time) but I do it until it just "feels right" with the pace and story of the video. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
This is probably my favorite video of yours, I mean, I enjoy all your videos, but this one, WOW. Sondra's excitement, the eagles, the boats, the mine, the train, the scenery! Just wow! Thank you again for sharing!
The train crew was great and very empowered to allow everyone on board to get great pictures. I asked them if I could when they turned the train around and they said, how about if we stop on the bridge for awhile! I was blown away that they let me take off from the cargo hold. It was perfect conditions but they were worried that it would fall 300 feet to the bottom of the canyon. I think it worked out great. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
Oh my goodness, National Geographic need to get some pointers from you guys. Your photography, videography, droneography and all the “graphy in the world. Man I am just in awwwwwe. You guys rock. Thank you so much for sharing your experiences with us. My husband and I went to do the Canada Alaska train and cruise in 2013 and I can say that I don’t think the scenery was any where near as good as what you have shown me, sitting in my living room in Australia. Keep up your amazing life on you tube, even your humour and love for life shines through. I c@nt give you enough credit 😘😘😘😘
Thank you, Pauline (from down under). Really appreciate your kind words....but we just do the "graphy" that we like and hope that others enjoy it as well. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
Hey Ronald, this is the first time we've missed it in 4 years. Here's last year's video. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE--8Zo6uJmXZw.html
Hi guys... Well 1st thing that comes to mine is... Wow... In the beginning where the eagles were flying at the drone was awesome... Then that old mine was pretty cool also... The train ride ...oh my goodness... The view from that bridge not to mention your drone footage was spectacular... Thank you for taking us alone...Jeanne And I are sitting in bed eating chocolate chip cookies also.... Both are warm...lol... Stay safe...J&A
Thanks J&A....gee, Sondra never lets me eat in bed....that's special you are doing that! Thanks for the comments and glad you're enjoying the trip with us. Safe travels to you.
Your pictures and video footage from here- there just aren’t enough words‼️ Thank you for letting us be part of all that you experienced‼️👍😊 That was incredible seeing that boat come in‼️You mentioned - chores - oh my goodness the work you both do every day‼️The hike to the gold mine was cool as was the ride on the dog sled‼️That train ride was awesome‼️your pix on the train were incredible‼️What a fun trip‼️
Thank you, Linda. It's been a fun trip and we've experienced a lot. It'll be great to travel down in the lower 48 again but Alaska is hard to beat! Glad you're enjoying the journey with us.
Another great video, look forward to your videos, its easy to watch these, cause you do such a great job showing everything and explaining it all thank you!
You were so close to our home in Homer. Weve launched our boat off that beach several times, it's pretty nerve racking coming in at full speed to maintain steering control. You let up to soon before hitting your trailer you'll end up sideways in the surf. Also, the last time Redoubt Volcano erupted we were driving through Anchor Point and watched the ash cloud come right overhead, it covered our house with a half inch of ash. It's an amazing state to live in and hope your visit is equally amazing. Safe travels.
Wow! That would have been awesome...and scary...all at the same time! I get it on the boat speed but, it's still got to be nerve wracking...but it definitely cuts the time to get to the fish!
incredible as always i was excitedly waiting for your vid i am in the uk great shots of pictures and the drone love your channel and your content keep up the good work and enjoy your travels
That's awesome, Charles. That's one reason why we share our experiences so others may benefit. It's our way to give back to the RV community. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
It's a very diverse and beautiful state. Lots to see and experience. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
I have been watching your videos for a while since I discovered your channel about a month ago, and I really enjoy the scenery you are showing in your videos from Alaska. Looks like a fun adventure you are having and seeing all the wildlife. I like the safety info on the train. Have fun.
LOL...that was pretty funny and very indicative of the "demeanor" of the crew. Lots of fun. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
LOL...We'll have to check it out later in the trip if possible, Brenda. Thanks...it was covered in snow, we couldn't see the road. Our friends later told us that it normally doesn't open until July! Oh well, beautiful views from the part we could travel!
Wow 😲 the views are amazing and the film footage was mind blowing. Loved the soundtrack as well. Watching in surround sound mega screen and I can tell you its incredible. Bravo David and Sondra on your production 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Thank you, Sue. We're going to try and get some daily stuff out on FB along with the other more detailed posts...and of course, the video's will (hopefully) keep on coming.
It’s Carlos from Victoria Tx. I was eating me a cheese burger with grill onions at Whataburger with the temperature outside at 104 and I thought of y’all having a good time in Alaska. I’ve been enjoying every one of y’all’s videos. God bless y’all and God bless America 🤙🏼
Aloha, Carlos! I could sure use a Whataburger right now... but you can keep the 104! We're in Wrangell Alaska and the high will be 70 today. We'll be in Texas in October sometime.
Oh wow!!! Great video!! I lived up in the Peninsula for four years and never saw what I saw in your 42 minute video! Spectacular! The drone shot was epic over the Hurricane Gulch Trestle! I too say, “Bravo!!” Well done!! 👍🏼 The train car attendant was hilarious doing the airline thing!!
That train ride was "Amazing"!!! 🤗 You are so good with the drone! Did you ask them to stop the train so you could do some drone footage?? How many feet above the river were you?? Such wonderful pictures!! I could not believe you saw so many Eagles, wow! ❤️ You are doing a good job of capturing "everything". Thank you.
Thank you, Pat. We were 294 feet above the canyon floor on that train trestle. They were stopping to have the train reverse and I asked them if I could fly the drone from the train. They said come on back! Everyone was great and allowed me to take off. It was quite the experience. Really appreciate your comments and thanks for watching.
All I can say is thank you so much for sharing your journey. Your content is so immerisive, intimate and fun. The dog sled ride and and train ride were awesome.
David I love your editing and drone work!! Also, Sandra your photography is amazing! My husband and I are photogs as well. We can definitely appreciate what it takes to create this content. Beautiful job to both of you. I am loving these vids! ❤❤
Thanks so much, Jodie! So far, it's been fun to produce them and look back on our memories. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
Absolutely beautiful. I never knew how beautiful Alaska is. We are planning on buying an RV and traveling once our daughter graduates in a few years. I'm so excited and now I want to visit Alaska. I love all your videos!
Thank you very much. It's a beautiful state and worth a visit...especially if you can take your time and spend several months up here. We had to wait on our daughter to graduate as well but it gave us a little extra planning time which was great. Congrats and thanks again.
Thanks, Jerry. They were very beautiful...maybe not as "epic" as the train shots but it was a nice "intimate" canyon for sure. I like those types of bridges. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
You’ve taken us to some beautiful locations on this part of your Alaskan journey. The Eagles were majestic. Love all the angles you captured of them. Great piece of production including choice of music featured. Stay safe and have fun you guys.
It's beautiful up here, Todd and easy to take great pictures because the views are so spectacular. Thank you so much for the kind words and we really appreciate your feedback. We always try to tell our story for the week and make it memorable and enjoyable. Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
Whaaat?!? You don't want more scenery?!? Lol. Thank you for the compliment. We're trying to strike a balance but include what we enjoy about an area. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
Place reminds me some of growing up on the ocean in Bandon Oregon but without all the big rock formations. Use to get up at 4am when I was young kid with my mom and we’d go walking on the beach hunting for glass balls that would come lose off of fisherman’s nets in Japan when they would have big storms. They would drift all the way from Japans fishing areas onto the beach’s of Bandon. Some were very small and some bigger than a basketball. By the way your really making great videos and editing is really good. Thank you for making them and sharing them with us.
Thank you so much for the kind words. Bandon sounds very scenic and fun to collect those glass balls. We want to get to the Oregon coast one of these years! Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
I am really enjoying the Alaska trip. I also started watching your videos from episode one and working my way up to the Alaska trip. This is definitely a bucket list trip for my wife and I. Since you have been on the road for a couple of months in the class C I have a question. How necessary has the 4x4 feature been on this trip so far? I will ask this question again when you get to the end of your trip in October. Thank you for sharing.
Thanks for watching. So far, the 4x4 feature has not been necessary...not even close to needing it. I think we got it for "insurance" and peace of mind. We're sensible about where we go so we hope to never have to use it. Great question.
Beautiful places! I'm picking up my travel trailer on Tuesday and excited to get on the road! Keep up the great content! I love to see when a new video comes out. Maybe when I am a little more experienced I can make a trip up to Alaska as well.
Alaska is beautiful, Steve. An Rv and a little bit of planning plus some time to travel is all you need to get to this great state. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
Wow, what a great video! The eagles, bellisimo! Kudos to the drone master, awesome footage! U guys are so lucky for lots of reasons, but one big one …that you really enjoy each others company and have fun together.❤ I hope to have that someday!
Hi Sondra and David, seems I didn’t watch entire video, so here I am. What a great video, train 🚆 trip was spectacular, stopping on the trestle bridge was great, complimented by drone footage, just the best. Thanks 🙏 so much. Avid fan, thanks.
Well, Harrison, I can't imagine why you would NOT watch the entire video! LOL. Hey, we appreciate the parts that you DO watch! Thank you so much for that and appreciate your comments. It was a fun trip and very interesting to fly the drone off the train over a 300 foot canyon!
What a great video. Y'all have either been ahead of us or behind us all the way through Canada and Alaska. We even stayed at Gary and Stacey's. Safe travels and enjoy your time. Hope to see you on the road someday
Small world! We're in Denali but heading north from here. Looks like we flip flopped our schedules a little! Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
You need a sillcock wrench water key for those times. Cool drone footage and music for the train segment. That train ride is by itself worth a trip to Alaska. I enjoyed this!
The drone footage was fantastic, especially when they let you fly it off the train at the canyon. Incredible!! Those train folks are great!!! Amazing trip!! Keep it coming. Thanks. And you saw the top of Denali, usually covered by clouds or clouds block the view. Alaska Airlines will sometimes fly along the side of Denali for an incredible view on their trips between Anchorage and Fairbanks. It happened twice for me, once in a 737 and once in one of their turboprops. I could see some mountain climbers on the mountain from the plane. Very Cool...
Wow, Bill. Great story on the plane trips. That would be sooo cool to see that. In 2017, we flew from Talkeetna and landed on the glacier at the base of Denali. Super clear day. It was unbelieveable. The folks on the train were very nice and accommodating for certain. Very fortunate. Thanks for the comments.
Thanks, Karen. Yeah, Sondra freaked out when she saw both of those (eagles flying and train view). Really glad you enjoyed it. Appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
That's funny, Laura. We are definitely a fan of National Park apparel and the Yellowstone one is really nice. Thank you for the comments and glad you're along on the journey. 😊
Thanks, Mike. Love the area in Eagle River and the drive up the valley. Nice campground and convenient to amenities. Appreciate your time watching the channel.
What a great trip this time around the mountain just take your breath away. And all the animals too thank you for taking me along loving the trip so far
It's a lot of fun, Kathleen. But it does take a lot of "fuel" if you desire to make it up here! LOL. Definitely a bucket list area...but wait...we have more in the coming weeks that will be even better!
I just recently discovered your channel. What amazing content. This Alaska trip is gorgeous. Thanks for the wildlife photos/videos, they're great. Looks like you're truly enjoying Curiosity!! Livin' the Dream.
Thanks for discovering us, Jeffrey. We love Alaska and it's been really nice in Curiosity. We miss our home but the Class C is very flexible. Thanks for watching the channel. 😁
Thank you. The crew was super and the RR lets them have more say in the daily operation to enable the passengers to have a more memorable visit. 😀 They were great and very accommodating. My shots wouldn't have been possible without their assistance and understanding. Great experience.
What an action packed episode. The two eagles rising up to check out your drone was one of my favorites and how cool was that sled dog ride! I would have been scared to hang out on that bridge inside that heavy train, lol. Fabulous video-graphics and photos.
Glad you enjoyed it, Carol. Lots of different activities for sure. We enjoyed this portion of the trip, even though it was "in between" one of our main stays. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
I really enjoyed that segment and thank you for the compliment. I was just having fun with it and thought it would be a little different. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😃
That Boondocker welcome spot look awful familiar!! Would it to belong to another youtube couple???!!! Great video guys! Thanks for sharing your journey with us.
Yes it was, Curtis! They also have a FB group RVing to Alaska the original. It's all about the 49th state and they even have a meetup mid-summer for all their members who are in the state. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
Thanks, David. It was fun...and gives me something to do so Sondra can go her bullet journaling and scrapbooking. Plus good memories and the grandchildren love watching us when we are away!
Appreciate that, Keith. It's been a good trip so far... we're going to be doing some different routes coming up so that will be interesting. Thunder Bay looked nice. Safe travels.
@@bigtruckbigtravels thanks David. We are having a great time coming across Canada. So far a good summer adventure that hasn’t disappointed. Enjoy the different routes working your way back south.
Great vid, Talkeetna, great town, flag train gotta do it. We watch alot of reality shows from Alaska and Talkeetna was one of the featured towns. Love being along with ya folks. Travel safe. 😅
@@bigtruckbigtravels Glennallen will be the best place to "top off" your tank before you get down here. They are about 50 cents cheaper than down here in Valdez. It's the last fuel stop before getting here. We actually stopped outside Palmer and filled up our four 5-gallon gas cans coming back here to the KOA in Valdez, for work. That alone, saved us $20!!! Just FYI!!! My husband and I really hope we get to meet you! We're huge fans of your channel!
Spectacular footage of the eagles and that drone piece was amazing. Great stuff about the boat launch, I actually paused the video to tell my hubby about it then later in the video you commented on it.
You are lucky that the eagles didn't grab your drone for food. It looks like they were thinking about it when they flew at your drone. Amazing shot though!! I had an eagle stalk my drone. I started to bring it home and he started to dive at it. Close call.
I was worried about it when they started for the drone. I didn't know if they would attack it. Luckily they didn't but I really enjoyed the shot I got.
My Husband spent 4 months living in Alaska-He said the bugs, mosquitoes, gnats, horseflies, etc where terrible-You don’t seem bothered by the bugs? -Enjoying the videos 🤩🎉🇺🇸👍
Great question, Mary. On our first trip up here in 2017, we were very fortunate and did not experience any of those insects. Everyone told us it was very unusual. This year, we have had colder temps and more wind so we haven't been bothered by them at all. Today, however, was the first day where the temps are warmer and the wind is calm.....and the "state bird of Alaska" (mosquitoes) is out and about and buzzing around. Not too bad but not great either!
Watching your videos intently as we are preparing our trek to AK next year. I know you guys mention the diesel prices when you fill up, but if it’s not too much trouble could you highlight the gas prices as well as we have a Class B Van that runs on gas. We know the prices will probably be different next year, but It would be nice to have an idea what to expect. STAY💯👍👍👍Mike and Lu R. in NC
Thank you very much. It's a great state with so much to experience. Their a couple who weren't comfortable making the trek north by themselves so we let them tag along behind us. When we crossed into Alaska it was time to create our own path. Appreciate your time watching the channel. 😊
It's been a blast so far, Leslie. But it's not over yet...not by a long shot. More summer is left so let's see more of Alaska! Glad you're along on the journey and really appreciate the time you take to watch the channel. 😎
@@bigtruckbigtravels I was up there for about 44 days in 2011 on a motorcycle. Used to live in the Vancouver, BC area. Absolutely love AK. You're lucky to be able to go back and enjoy AK for months. Be safe. Love the motorhome set up as well.
