So insane that Logan most likely started manipulating Kendall at 7 years old - promising the job of CEO to get him to become a business tycoon, only to pull it away and dangle it in front of the other kids when they brought him glory or success in the later years. Logan was an AMAZING businessman and entrepeneur, but severely lacked as a Father and didn’t understand his kids in the slightest. He knew ATN and that world corrupted just about anyone, yet he brought them in anyways.
Respect to him for fighting for it so badly, but he let it get into his own head too much and relied way too much on his siblings. Logan got to where he was by severing all of his connections, always having a knife ready to gut even those closest to him. Ken wanted to get to that position with his family still close by, dooming him to fail.
Instead of making schemes and stratagems, he should have worked harder. Gerri had very strong position without being part of the family because she was extremely competent. If Kendall worked seriously, his way would be so much easier. But he was like a child, who wants a toy he doesn't even need and throws tantrums to get it. He didn't care much about the job itself, he cared only about the title. He wanted to get it just for the sake of getting it.
@@omg9261totally disagree w that. He worked for longer than any of his sibs, put in the work and grind. You can see in s1 that he really did love Waystar and wanted to keep it going.
It could have* I agree. But he's not right for it. He's mentally unstable. Maybe if he got some help and on medication. I'm just happy King Tom had a happy ending 👑
Pains me to rewatch this knowing Kendall had it this season. I truly hate Shiv but understand the point of the show and how none of them were going to get it in the end. I still hope Kendall went through with the other company they were forming and finds success there.
I literally don't understand people who wanted Kendall to get it. He had his nice moments, but overall, he would've collapsed sooner than later and he's not better than either Roman or Siobhan.
It was there father that turned Ken into a monster, it was after their father tricked Ken and tried to make him take the fall for the company and send him to jail that Ken decided he was going to be selfish, he is still the most considerate amongst all of them and am sure he would have let Rom or Shiv become the CEO if any of them were competent enough, rather than selling the company. But shiv is a demon, she only cares about herself. The way she always treated her husband, she never cared about his feelings, she only started caring after Tom decided to end the marriage. And deep down Shiv and Rom were just jealous of Ken, because despite Logan’s problems with Ken, they knew that he was the favorite child. So they never wanted him to be king. So here is the difference, Ken would have given up the ceo position to any of Shiv or Rom to keep the company if they were competent, but the others would rather sell just because they cannot be the ceo.
I don't know which one is pathetic: Kendall got groomed by Logan without him knowing it to be the next CEO or the fact he said, he got promised since he was 7 years old on candy store. I don't think any 7 years old kid even know what the word CEO even mean.
Just be clear for the geniuses who will find something against Kendall, Roman and Shiv doesn’t deserve CEO post period. So, what we got?? Kendall. But no backstabbing cutie gonna set the things right by backing her puppet hubby, ruin her fathers legacy and destroy siblings relationship
None of them deserve it. Kendall is the most experienced/qualified, but he's mentally unstable. Shiv has the best temperament, but pretty much lacks any business experience. Roman is not a serious person.
ruin her fathers legacy? He wanted to sell, he didn’t want them to have it. He wanted mattsons deal. And she didn’t ruin her siblings relationship, kendall did that by blowing up and going fucking insane on rome
Nah man they’re all bullshit. Roman always knew it. Shiv realized it in the meeting. Kendall was forced to realize it as he wrestled his brother while throwing a tantrum. They’re just not serious people.
I mean we can argue about the last scene being that one but really? Scenes like this? It’s like the opposite for me. In this scene it’s pretty clear he is the only one competent enough to be CEO out of the three
@@sk1ptical131 Nah, I don't think any of those three were competent, and I think it was related to how they grew up, they never got the hang of the one thing their father could do, which was to trick people into thinking they were getting something from him. Kendall knew how to threaten. He did not show any proficiency in cajoling.
