To answer your question about Melly having a phone... It's very easy these days to get smartphones while incarcerated. Some guys will have literal stores in their cells. They'll lay out 10-15 phones for you to choose from. They'll even have iPhones, Galaxies, Pixels etc

The TMZ footage is from a civilian getting beaten up by Drake's security because he wouldn't leave the bathroom so that Drake could use it alone. I couldn't find a link to it but I've seen it referenced elsewhere. His security is really dirty - there are tons of instances of them beating people up etc.

He's saying that his friend showed him how to takes shots at Drake, but he didn't listen. He shot too high and went over Drake's head. Now, he'll do it right, and aim for the headshot. People think he's saying he's gotta take low shots, which is true, but it's also saying that he's been taking shots that went over Drake's head.

I see a lot of people who don't listen to J.Cole miss the primary meaning of the "I got a Benjamin and a Jackson all in my house like I'm Joe ok" bar... Remember the context of Euphoria is J. Cole dropped 7 minute drill dissing Kendrick then Drake did Pushups and Taylor Made where Drake asked for a quintuple entendre -something he don't even understand. Kendrick starts by saying "I ain't worried about no reaper, n***a I'm reaping what I sow ok." -this is a reference to J.Cole sneak dissing him on his verse on Johnny P's Caddy where Cole says 'you'll feel the wrath of the reaper'... So the next bar he addresses his two sons, J.Cole and Drake saying: "I got a Benjamin and a Jackson all in my house like I'm Joe ok!" It's a legit quadruple entendre (also Drake didn't understand it) at minimum, here are the meanings: 1. Benjamin Button (J. Cole -see his verse from Crocodile Tears saying he's Benjamin Button getting younger as the hours pass) and Michael Jackson (Drake claimed this on First Person Shooter). That makes Kendrick their father (Joe) and his house is hip hop. 2. Ben the pet rat and MJ in Joe Jackson's house (who was abusive to MJ) 3. Benjamin Harrison and Andrew Jackson in the White House where Joe Biden lives (the paintings of the former presidents in the White House) 4. US currency $100 Bill (Benjamin Franklin) and $20 (Andrew Jackson) -obvious bar saying he's got stacks

On a weaker opponent drake’s tactics would have worked he was supposed to know that Kendrick’s power level is nowhere near a weak opponent level

1:20:25 "n**** feelin' like Joel Hail Osteen" can be interpreted to play on the fact that Osteen is regarded as a preacher but in the next line when Kendrick says "funny he was in a film called A.i." Kendrick is also referring to Osteen being a conniving preacher. Osteen faking his intelligence and love of God, in front of a camera for the world to see. Aligning both Drake and Osteen as actors, he brings "Haley Joel Osment", a credited actor, name to attention to play with the line "am I battling ghost or A.i" . In it totality "Am I battling Ghost or A.i. n**** feelin' like Joel Osteen Funny, he was in a film called A.I. And my sixth sense is telling me to off him" Are enforcing his previous statement where Kendrick brought Drake's ghost writers to the forefront. "Bring 'em out too, I'll clean 'em out too" showing off his word play at an elite level. So while Kendrick is "confused" on who he's fighting, everyone is confused on how to fight him because "They can't imitate this violence"

Things no one else but me seemed to pick up on in K-Dot’s Euphoria song: 1. The Wiz came out in 1978. So did Superman The Movie. 2. The creators of Superman: Jerry Seigel & Joe Shuster are both Canadian Jewish Americans. 3. Clark Kent is an act of Superman and Drake is an act of Aubrey Graham.

The Joel is teen bar I got perfectly. He’s not saying the child actor is LIKE Joel osteen he’s saying int he rap drak is feeling like the preacher Joel and then he switches to say the boy actor who played in the sixth sense.

I thought it was this guy but it must have been another deep dive that had a better explanation for the Joel Hale Osteen bar. It covered the same information mentioned here about both Joel Osteen and Haley Joel Osment, but they offered up the possibility that the whole sequence of bars was about Confusion. "Am I battling ghosts or ai?" It's like he's not sure who or what he's even fighting, which confuses him. That confusion is where the name mix up comes in, using Osteen and his deeds for the rhyme while also using Osment for the film references. It could be a reach but it sounded cool😅. Loved the video❤

By mashing the names he's able to make references to inauthenticity, ghostwriting, and Taylormade (AI) in only 4 bars instead of having to set them up separately and it being 8 ort 12 bars

The biggest thing I appreciate is that Kendrick didn’t take the low road and call drake gay. Kendrick has been really good about queer issues and I was scared that he might take that route since it’s been a prevalent narrative. It’s something that drake himself wasn’t above calling The Weeknd gay on family matters.
