No disrespect to Lil Wayne but Jay-Z got it right. It’s been established long before the beef that Kendrick is one of the best artists and live performers of all time. 2025 will be a movie! 🍿💯
Something I’ve noticed from watching Kendrick Lamar live shows is that this man loves to share the stage. He’s putting on a performance not hogging the stage all to himself.
When i went to see him for the damn tour he had hella dope acts, dancers, and was acually popping in and off stage when the lights went out like the undertaker😭 what a legend
I love how after this rap beef Kendrick has gained a whole new population of fans. Can’t say the same for Drake. People are legit consuming Kendrick’s music out of genuine curiosity and becoming captivated. I love that for him. He is truly an ARTIST !
So true, just yesterday I saw people using Kendrick’s “I’m better” leak on their edits, it’s so cool. So happy kdot is getting the exposure he deserves, the true king of rap.
I’m one of them. Never really like rap but I’m hooked. Listening to all the old songs. My family laughs at me. 😂😂😂 They can’t believe I’m rapping KDot lyrics. 😂😂😂
It's rare to see hip-hop artists who are great at both - being extremely creative with their performances AND giving us just MC with the mic. Kendrick excels at both.🔥🔥
@@antonaochavaoNaa 2016 doesn’t even come close to this performance for me. This 1 had better production, intensity, message & visuals imo!🔥 The different song choices went hard too. Most of which weren’t released as singles or radio hits. He also told a story here that can be interpreted in different ways, depending on the viewer. But that’s just me 🤷🏾♂️ Most important, nothing beats a random Chapelle cameo! Who btw, told ZERO 👌🏾 LIES! The fact I had to meet with Weinstein to find a decent copy of this performance, proves he was correct! TIL THIS DAY!! 👺
I can't believe people are having a problem with kendrick performing at the super bowl next year are you kidding me we should be so blessed that he agreed to do it in the first place pure talent 🙌👏❤😍i like lil wayne but I'm sorry i love kendrick
@@CuriousNun if we had to be there to see it, that says it all.. Kendrick's performances are legendary.. look at his tour concerts, SNL, Stephen Colbert, festivals.. the LV fashion week performance was EPIC.. it's not even close.. When it comes to live performances, no other rapper can touch this dude.. Not just a Drake and Cole statement..
I agree for the most part but I will say jcoles performance of be free on the David letterman show is definitely a memorable performance and one on his best that I go back to for the message and passion he put into that performance you can tell he felt every word he said
@@thzcrossbowsonly9329💯🫡 I was going to say the same for Cole. He never even made that an actual "single" or anything. But Kenny performances are literally all like this. I'm glad the battle brought folk back to why some of us said that he is the 🐐 of his generation.
If u aint on surface level vote trump, stop the drake hate now, if he have done anything as wrong as kendrick says "God" will punish like him like he will punish the rest.
The lengths u have to go to, to find this performance anywhere proves Dave Chapelle correct! Make sure to watch it as many times as u can, while u can! Unfortunately this vid probably won’t be here for long! 😔
@@PhumelelaMpotulo-kt7xeas good as a rapper maybe, but not nearly as good as an artist. Andre 3k, Kendrick and Kanye are in another league of hiphop artistry
This has to be my favorite performance and I always come back to it. So much thought in each second. He's not a "dancer" but he visually captivates you with just head movements. I've just never seen someone manipulate a stage like him. Mark my words, MJ, Prince, James Brown, and all the other great performers before him have now crowned him the new king of the stage. What a legacy at such an early age. I pray he stays protected. The culture needed this.
@@detroiterz4931 after tpab dropped, there was never any doubt that he is the king of hip hop, and has cemented himself in rap's history. this comment will continue to age better and better as time goes. also fuck drake
did anyone else notice that when the “this is a satire by kendrick lamar” came up it could also be read as “this is kendrick” and “a satire by lamar” GENIUS WORD PLACEMENTTT ❤
THIS is why he got the Superbowl halftime over Wayne so everybody please shut the hell up I like Wayne too but HAVE YAL SEEN WAYNE LATELY.... halftime is long ASF and yal seriously want an old ass lil Wayne over THIS🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥yeah foh not to mention Kendrick can simply bring Wayne out for a song or 2
😂😂😂😂 yet the haters taking about, why Kendrick not Lil Wayne? I love Wayne but when it comes to performing Kendrick's that guy!! Half time shows have never been based on home grown artist, why the outage now? Anys...... Watch K-Dot break viewing records come LIX 2/2025.🎉🎉🎉🎉
I love this entire performance! This was the best performance I’ve ever seen. I remember watching this with my family and we were all going crazy with how powerful this was! Love you Kendrick!❤️🫶🏼
And people have the AUDACITY to question why he was selected to be the first rapper to headline a Superbowl halftime show smh he is going to KILL IT 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Actually, it has stirred teens/young adults up to lean in, ask history questions, and examine what they were told and feed in classes about what America. FINALLY! Even though we're days before the end of school, they are asking for book recommendations for summer reads. 🤗
you know he reminds me of MC Hammer and before you start going in on me---Hammer had a phenomenal stage presence for a rapper and we never saw that at the time it was only Michael Jackson and he was a singer. I feel he channels MC Hammer in this respect.
Bro am I the only person for the last few months had to rebook at all the shit kendrick did to really appreciate his art...like this man deserves #halloffame now the best and most creative all around #Westside #south central LA making me pround and shit bro FUCK BBL Drizzy
Kendrick is so talented… I truly hope he doesn’t give up on hip hop- the past few months have been rough for him.. even though he won some.. if you really look at all this, he could’ve just stayed home coz he lives his peace.. 6: 16 in LA is packed with so much knowledge
Yes, I am here after he annlihilated Drake on those diss tracks. This performance was pretty damn good. I didn't watch the Grammys live that year but I remember watching an Instagram story of someone else watching this performance. They were just standing in front of the big screen TV all quiet and still perhaps they were even mesmerized. From what little I could see on the screen via an Instagram story, I knew that performance must have been one of the best. After all these years, that Instagram story stood out to me whenever I think of Kendrick Lamar. Now, I finally get to see the full performance. However, I do believe I watched another clip all those years ago after seeing that Instagram story.
