where is funk flex to drop bombs on this track, these rhymes aren't ready for this generation i bet 10 years from now they will begin to breakdown the complexity of his rhyme scheme and the message behind it. K Dot for prez~
CircleInfinite He's a good conscientious rapper, he's not "the best of his generation" because he hasn't done the most for his cause, and isn't the most technically gifted so where does this claim come from?
Darui senju He is the most technically gifted, because he uses rap in ways not done so before. Go on rap genius and see. Most people consider technical proficiancy as doing what OTHERS have done at a high level, like great metaphors, better word play, better punchlines, kendrick does something more than just being "technically proficient" If you know the scope of his work, you will notice he is certainly one of the most maluable, able to work on any style from jazz, to drill to underground styles. the way he uses simalies, and metaphors is DEFINATELY the most original, originality being one of the most difficult and masterful parts of art. Ok who is better than kendrick right now then?
Kendrick, Chance the rapper, Young Thug only three rappers now that I can listen to for more than 5 minutes but out of those three Kendrick is the only one I can listen to for hours K for prez
I'll be straight up. The niggas that hate on "mumble rap" just don't understand it. It's up to you the consumer to find lyrical content. I mean hip hop has more lyricism than you see in the mainstream. What's hot rn is vibe rap. It's more about the feeling. Tbh, i have a full palette. I can bump this and bump Young Thug. They both have their value to hip hop. But one brings more of a message the other can rock a party. Don't forget that old school hip hop wasn't always lyrical. So I feel a lot of people who resent this new movement are just too blind to see its value.
Here's the link to a story I wrote called Black Butterflies ; An Interpretation Of To Pimp A Butterfly . www.writerscafe.org/writing/Nia_Shenell/1781914/ Before you read it know that I am not a writer and also know that this story was supposed to be a direct reflection of the album. So if you see the references they are intentional. This storyIs my interpretation of the album in story form where I tried to catch the essence and meaning. Please give me feedback if you read it ; negative or positive
Those of us who remember the UU Lyric Contest, I just figured out why he fucked up one of the questions. In the Grammy version of U5, he says he has his bible on the dash. That's why he messed it up.
