I mean I get there are multiple sides to every story. But the last dance wasn’t made solely to make jordan look great. It was primarily to document and show the audience the behind the scenes of the bulls rise to prominence. And that obviously started and ended with Jordan. Patrick Ewing was the 2nd highest paid player at 20 mil. So the owner probably said nothing because they were trying to protect their market demand. Jordan was getting paid more than the league salary cap by himself so the Bulls had to pay the luxury tax. They could no longer financially carry that team of individuals. Sort of like when the 49ers had to blow up their roster after the introduction of the NFL salary cap. Jordan came back to play for Wizards at $1 million just 4 years later. So why was he demanding such huge contracts if he wanted to keep winning championships?
