I was 18 when I was introduced to the Gospel. Unfortunately, I was immediately thrust into the heresy of Kenneth Copeland. Thankfully, 18 months later, I was delivered from that bondage. I now sit under solid teaching from the likes of John MacArthur, Steve Lawson, Paul Washer, etc. I thank God for His mercy on me when I was treating Him with contempt as a word-faith pupil. I thank God for getting me out of that garbage and directing me to teachers of sound doctrine

When I was a brand new Christian in the early 2000s, I found the Copelands on tv and would listen as I got ready for work. Gloria was speaking, and I heard that her say that Jesus told her when he's coming back but she's not allowed to say. I went right over, turned the tv off and have never listened to these people again. Then I married into a family where some of them are full on WOF folks...let's say it has been an education since that morning. I don't know how anyone can watch him for years and not hear the falseness the spews from his mouth. And his assistant acts like he's going to be taken out back to the woodshed if he does something incorrect.

hi Alan, I know that the death of Christ was foreordained, but you mentioned that the fall was decreed by God. Personally, I have never felt like "decree" was the right word. I have no problem with saying that God foreknew it and is sovereign over it. But when we say "decree" to me that seems to be saying that God is the primary cause of the fall and of all sin. Is there any text in the Bible that uses a word like "decree" for the fall of man? Or perhaps is there another word that would be a better fit?

The greatest antiseptic to false doctrine is to just read and study your bible and pray the Lord would give spiritual understanding. Copland's harrises are quite clear, crystal clear. It amazes me people give him the time of day, let alone their money.

Two people I bought up Copeland to said he used to be a good preacher. I told them he was never a good preacher he was a bad preacher that got worse.

This is extremely difficult to watch although it is not the first time viewing. Difficult because it is not easy watching someone playing with Gods' mercy and this without any fear of Him who made us in His likeness. Undoubtedly he will fall!
