January 1977.
President Kenneth Kaunda's remarks:
" Well, we certainly know that whatever we're doing as frontline countries we're doing in the name of our brothers and sisters on the continent. That is our leaders the (indistinct) the peasants and workers and the mothers in the home. We know that and realise that. If the result is the decision we took to recognise the Patriotic Front is in the judgement of our brothers and sisters not correct we're quite happy to go by that, quite happy to go by that. Our aim at conference of course would try that. Our ministers will be meeting fairly soon now all foreign affairs ministers. And our colleagues, foreign ministers of the frontline countries, will certainly be able to explain to their brothers. I have done wherever I've been."
