Rest In Peace mr Mac Davis always love your music since I was a kid now you and Kenny Rodgers can sing all day and night keeping god intertained just save me a spot in heaven mr Davis and if you see my mom tell hello please
To know me is to love me lol ;-) I love this song i haven't heard it for ages and just came across it!! Fabulous absolutely Fabulous it's going straight on my playlist
the days when country singers wore tight jeans. the days of texwood, wrangler, levis were very famous. I also remember HARA but did not become so famous.
Sums up most of us guys who have loved starved women in awe of us and by choice don't have tons of friends, because we are better than everyone else, but do the best to be humble about that!
Kenny Rogers,Charlie Daniels, and now Mac Davis. Country Music will never be what it was back during the 70s and 80s. Today's stars don't even come close!
Met Mac Davis when I was a 17-year-old busboy at my hometown country club (1978) when he and his band played an afternoon of golf there. Believe me, he IS A VERY HUMBLE, WARM & GENEROUS MAN! CLASS ACT ALL THE WAY!
Makes me smile too! My husband use to sing this all the time. We’ve now been married 35 yrs and I reminded him how he use to sing this around the house! Lol. He singing it again!! 🥰
I feel so sad over his passing. Never MET him, but... That gorgeous smile, his talent and, yes, one of the Few HUMBLE ones in the business!! I hope there's something better waiting.. for Mac and for ALL of us, after
Geez, some of those audience members look like they're attending a funeral!! Stern looks on their faces, arms folded, and not even joining in the singing!! Sheeesh!!!
Of the two, Mac was always my favorite! His love of life, laugh & the gorgeous curly hair!😍😍😍 I watched his shows on TV when ever I could. The fact that I've always have like many Texas performers (Mac, Waylon, Ernest Tubby,...)"and the Texas swing style -- made we very happy! Especially when my father in law was a 2nd cousin to Waylon! 😲😍
There are 2 guys who made millions of dollars with 2 "sing along bar" songs. Kenny Rogers with "Lucille", and Mac Davis with "It's hard to be humble." If you old enough to remember those songs were played over and over again.
RIP Kenny Rogers and thanks to both these amazing guys for all they have given us. Our world needs to go simpler after the crisis we are facing, materialism, greed, avarice need to all be gone when we come out of it.
Looking back these memories of Mac Davis takes back in that time. How I truly loved n adored this man. I never missed any of his shows on tv. I had no idea he was such a great song writer. We’ll love n miss u Mac. Rest In Peace ♥️♥️👍
That song came out when there was a big push on "humility" and thinking little of yourself. It makes me laugh and I'm beyond 65 years. It is a nice, funny song. Yes, we are not perfect but we can have some fun.
This video makes me laugh every time I watch it! Love these 2 men and will greatly miss them.. At least there are the videos to watch tho.. RIP Mac and Kenny..
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/It%27s_Hard_to_Be_Humble "It's Hard to be Humble" is a song by Mac Davis from his LP, Hard To Be Humble. It became an international hit in the spring of 1980. A version by Stout became a Top 20 hit in the UK and Ireland during the fall of the year.
These two were always some of my favorites growing up!!!!!! Awesome story tellers!!!!!! I always get a kick out of Mac chuckling while singing this live!!!!!!! RIP Brothers!!!!!!
Kenny Rogers and Mac Davis are having way too much fun singing Hard To Be Humble. I always liked the humor in a lot of country songs. The best of "sad country music" makes you feel and think but this song definitely makes us smile. We all know a few people who could do with a serving or two of "humble pie." Just another great song from the 80s. An oldie but goody!
I told my kids I want this to be one of the songs that they play at my funeral because I want to catch people off guard and I want him to smile. I want more than tears and these two brought a lot of smiles to people's faces in their lifetime
..Back in the 70's and 80's, Mac Davis was hot on fire and "undoubtedly" one of the best looking men I had ever seen. I loved him so much. Mac was a HUGE talent and a LEGEND. Please rest peacefully Mac, I know you didn't want to leave.
Before Mac became famous he used to entertain all of us at the Shocker lounge on N. Hillside in Wichita, KS. He was destined to be a star way back then. It was evident that both music and singing were very natural to him. I've followed his career ever since.. Thanks Mac for all your tunes..
I used to hear about him being in town a lot because his wife was from Wichita. I may be wrong about this, but she was the one that was "stolen" by Glen Campbell when Mac was on tour one time. Never heard her name or anything so . . . After all that, I always had a bad feeling about Glen Campbell. Probably bothered me longer than it did Mac. Maybe I was being a bit petty? Since I was not involved, maybe just a bit, huh? I just always felt so bad for Mac. Well, 😢 now they're both gone so I can finally let all that go for good! Ha ha! 😕
Kenny Rogers @ Mac Davies was great friends, Now they in Heaven, today, singing along with Glen Campbell, Elvis, and John Denver, too, It hard to be humble, R.I.P. every one,
What a concert!!! Mac Davis and Kenny Rogers! WOW!! I would have given anything to see both of them in concert. Kenny was so cool the way he sang and Mac was great, especially when he sang this particular song. Honestly I lose it when he sings “It must be the way that I fill out my skin tight blue jeans.” Rest In Peace, Kenny. 😥😥🙏🙏🙏🙏😦
Well great fun with this humorous song and also a cute singers. Great caress for the soul. The homage to both singers even though they are unfortunately no longer between us. Thank you Mac Davis and Kenny Rogers
Great company. They're probably having a great time in Heaven. I pray for the family and friends left behind to carry on. May you be comforted by His peace and rest in His salvation.
He should have never messed with perfection, but I loved him so much, no matter what...he was still handsome...he just never needed to touch a single thing!
No doubt that these great entertainers are entertaining everyone in heaven . Can’t believe they both passed this yr, RIP Kenny and Mac I’m sure you larrikins are raising cane above.🇦🇺🌅🙏🦋
A guy I used to work with at Radian INC in Austin used to sing this everyday, just to be funny of course. Those were the good old days. His name was Al if anyone remembers him.
