February 11, 1989 - Competing just three days following the death of his father, Kenny "Sky" Walker of the New York Knicks cuffed, spun, and windmilled his way to a landslide victory in the 1989 NBA Slam Dunk Contest. Walker won his final round matchup with Clyde Drexler by nearly 100 points - 148.1 to 49.5 (Drexler did not attempt his final dunk due to an insurmountable deficit). Not bad for a last second injury replacement for Dominique Wilkins.
