I learned several styles of karate over the years but KENPO was my first and main discipline. I am teaching my grandson but can't get a lesson plan as the JKMA has discontinued the works of Rafael Restons KENPO program. Yours is the closest I've found. I want emblems and patches for my grandkids along with instruction on how to test them for belt advancement. Can you help?

If you were trying to block a punch you'd be too late by swinging your arm outward before deflecting inward. And if you were standing there with your legs wide open I'd kick you where it counts. Is this Ed Parker's kenpo? Chuck Sullivan updated the moves to make them more effective. 😆

In short 1, you can not do a V step. We V step only when we go towards the opponent ( see short 2 as a comparison).
