Welcome to the Walker Creek segment of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway, also known as Hard 11 on the Kentucky Adventure Tour. This 5.5 mile length of trail is known for its seriously rutted and rocky declines, an old tunnel under a railroad embankment, and a place called the narrows that could become impassible any day. Join Jeeps, Toyotas, and a Ford Bronco as we adventure through the scenic Kentucky countryside.

Heading down to the KAT for the first time next week. Diesel gladiator Rubicon on 37's. So many choices down there!

@@amatueroverlanding4361 definitely lots of good options down there depending on the challenge you are looking for. Our favorite sections have been from Callies down to Big South Fork, as well as Hard 11 and Hensley. But we still have several hard sections yet to drive. Enjoy!

nice. we just trailed old Fincastle and camped out down in the creek area where the road is collapsing last Saturday!!! where is the trails at the beginning of the video?

The beginning is where Smith Road intersects with Walker Creek, and then driving Walker Creek down into the valley. Hope you enjoyed the area!

An awesome trail indeed. And traveling with good people just makes it even better! We both work full time, so our Kentucky trips are mostly long weekends. Every now and then we get the luxury of a longer adventure.

We are thinking about later this summer heading down for a weekend here and there. We both work full time also so I've been trying to get an idea if it was worth it to drive down Friday night after work.

We try to go on 3 day holiday weekends so we can get 2 days on trail, but if you are close enough to arrive in the area Friday night and spend all day Saturday on the trail, I would say it is still worth it.

We are in Columbiana County so it would be pretty late Friday

That is a bit further and would make for a late Friday. Although the Kentucky trails are beautiful, I think you might regret only having one day to enjoy them on a regular weekend.
