I’ve never been so satisfied by one video. She sounds great man, and like a few others said, damn smooth hand with the shifting, hats off to you brother🤙🏼
I'm thinking for buy a truck , and I make so many research about this sound , jajaja and now I Know is cat c12 is a great engine , I love this sound of the turbo sounds great
Best C-12 video on RU-vid bro. Hope my shop will let me straight pipe our C-12 Pete tanker lol. It's one of only 3 manual trucks in the entire 80+ truck fleet. Everything else is junk Volvo-Macks.
Wow!!! I appreciate that dude!! Lol im saddened that your companies Truck of choice is Volvo. 😂 Hold on to that pete long as you can. Only 1 other driver at my company and he drives a 2020 Mack. It's nice but not better than my KW
@@TheNappyboy2 It's as we all say. Kenworths are the true Cadillac's of trucks. Even if the pete's IMO look better on the outside the KW's are the true Cadillac's.
@@robertgardner4508 lol shoot man you stumped me on that one!! I love the look of a nice W9 but there there's Freightliner CLASSIC, Pete 359, 379! Lol shoot man, I can't just in this convo. I'm to biased!! 😂😂
@@TheNappyboy2 haha. A freightliner classic XL can never go wrong with that either. My dad actually used to drive a 1989 379 with a 3406 and a 18 speed because he was a tanker driver so he used the low splits a fair amount. Gun mettle gray metallic color too. Very nice truck. He did regional with that, and he also drove another one that was cummins powered with this metallic blue a while ago. I sure do miss those trucks lol. I was real small when I saw them.
Sounds really damn good. Love the C12 CAT engine. Had a C12 CAT powered drywall truck come in for repairs thing sounded really good when I took it for a drive
I was searching for T800 real trucks so I can’t find a dope looking example to build on ATS. I clicked on your video because it says T800 C12 but little did I know I was going to see you make a right turn and get onto i64. That was a treat I wasn’t expecting. I drove for WM in Hampton Roads before transferring to Texas. It was nice to see the area through your lens.
You got a small muffler on there some where in line. I run dual 8 inch pipes on my c12 with a small inline muffler under Neath truck. I took it off one time to just run no muffler and it was loud as fook. So this truck definitely has an in line muffler on it
No sirrr. Full stright. This truck just has 5 inch pipes. Lol that 8 inch making some noise I know. Years ago my home boys dad ran live stock and had a Peterbilt with 10 inch pipes. We could hear that mf from some miles away!
Brilliant video man can you please do more only a lot longer and in the next video please I want to have you start it up because I love that sound thanks man stay safe bro
Love that straight piped C12 sound! What year is this truck? What transmission, 9 or 10 speed? Can you please do a super long 2-3 hour video of this truck? Make sure to start off the video with engine startup and some revving with the jake on, and make sure to have as little wind as possible, and I want to be able to hear that straight pipe exhaust. I want to be able to listen to this when I'm on a long road trip or for relaxation. Please make sure you have a completely empty SD card, so the video won't cut out. Please do this for me ASAP. Please let me know ASAP. Also I just subbed, your videos are just amazing!
Thank you so much for watching, I appreciate the support. The truck is a 2002 kenworth t800 10speed. However doing a two or three hour video during my work day isn't possible. I have so much going on and some of the places I deliver to I can not record or take pictures of any kind. I will definitely be coming out with more videos, in which I will definitely make sure the c12 and its Jakes are heard perfectly. Thank you so much for the subscription!! See you in the next one.
@@TheNappyboy2 Gotcha. But, I have an idea. You can make several long driving videos out on the road, then put them all together to create a super long video of just driving, shifting, and jaking. What do you think?
I believe it was 425 horse. I'm not sure of the weight that day but I was super light. Definitely under 80,000. & I have no idea on the 0-60 lol I wasn't racing for that to be something I would want to know.
My father is looking to buy a 2012 western star with a car C-12 is there anything you can tell me before the purchase like pros and cons how much horsepower it can support and stuff ?
I'm not an expert and I definitely don't want to give you false info. Driving this truck is my first personal experience with a C-12 . I will say its been super reliable!
@@TheNappyboy2 Cool, I was curious what weight you can pull over there in the USA, I understand it changes with heavy wide loads and heavy plant equipment, Our semi,s in England can run 44 tons then you have the STGO categories for heavy haulage cat 1 - 46 tons, cat 2 - 80 tons and cat 3 - 150 tons then movement order required for over 150 tons, Keep posting the video's, Great to watch.
@@j0llyroger889 Wow man thanks for the love all the way from England. Yeah my company is pretty baseline but there has been talks if getting bigger equipment. So far the biggest piece we have is a 1500 JLG that weights 49K lbs.
Whats up dude!! Im from NC but I live in VA, VA Beach. Trucking out of Chesapeake. Dude im pretty sure I've seen you plenty of times of lowboys and heavy haul group on Facebook.
@@TheNappyboy2 hahaha yes sir, I'm in the group on FB.. small world man I didn't know you was in the group. Love your truck, same color as mine. I just str8 piped mine a few weeks ago also. Definitely helps her breathe. Be safe man, hopefully we meet up sometime..brother to brother..
@@jamieg.3829 yes sir. It sounds great, and does great. Most reliable truck we have. Definitely small world man. You too man, be safe and hang on to it!
Absolutely no idea. I have heard that the 60 series is a true workhorse though. Great for people starting out because you can throw a lot at it and it will handle it well.
Really well. It does great, If not I can just drop a gear and it will start slowing down. I only use service brake maybe 15% out of anytime I'm driving.
@@TheNappyboy2 Nice! My old T800 had a C13 in it but barely made 330 HP lol. I hated that damn truck. Now I have a tri-axle T800W with a C15 and 18 speed. Thing can handle any load anywhere at any time, and it’s got a few bad injectors lol. 👀 Peterbilt/Kenworth. You can’t go wrong.
It's not. I have far more room in this truck than the truck I used to drive. Extended cab for more leg room would be perfect though. Also what driver are you talking about???? The driver is this video?????
@@j0llyroger889 oh thanks for your advice, think 32 years hgv 1 driving for air products and other globe companies, like total fina elf,and now working on liquid ring and diasab tanks i will take that as a direction!
