Hi, thanks for your video! When you key tanzania under ur first eta, did u come back to kenya? Did u have to pay for another eta fee in kenya to re-enter? I am travelling to uganda after kenya. Trying to figure out if I pay the 32.50 usd for eta kenya, den I exit to uganda and come back to kenya, do I need to pay for kenya eta again...

Having traveled extensively to Kenya from the USA since 2020 using both single entry and multi entry (one year) visas all this really translates out to be is a visa by a different name. What's the difference $20.00. (For single entry)? All they really needed to do was establish and publish entry requirements, tickets, passport, lodging, etc. Confirm all the requirements on arrival, create a permanent profile of the traveler and admit or deny. The airlines have already looked at all the required documents with the exception of lodging. Requiring lodging documents really makes no real sense to me anyway because its totally fungible and also causes issues for travelers that are staying with family and or friends. I'm not sure what the Kenyan government was trying to accomplish with this but it really did not make Kenya more accessible and I question if it will be a benefit or boon to tourism. I want people to visit Kenya. It is an awesome country with super friendly people and delicious food.

I've visited other countries that required me to do something similar (not a visa) to enter, such as Colombia. Every country has it's rules and requirements, if people research them, this should not deter folks from visiting. I know I plan to visit again.

I want to thank you ! So many moochers on RU-vid, but you have the right address bar for Kenya' For me and my wife(together) it was $65 ;period. I had sites that wanted +300.00 for both of us plus 3 day to a week to receive the eTA .If you wanted it sooner add $100. I received mines the next morning at 6.AM. Keep up the good work , and thanks

with eVisa it was much more convenient and flexible. you just applied for the evisa with a proposed date of entry witout having even the flight booked yet.. So how does it work with eTA? I have to enter already the exact date of entry and airline flight number. Meaning I need at that point already a ticket. So what if my eTA will be denied? Then the money spent on the ticket is gone. Or what if my flight is postponed. Its said the eTA is valid for 90days but I also read you might need a new eTA if the date of entry changes

They are asking for the hotel reservation. What if we are going to the hometown of my husband. We dont need a hotel accommodation.

sorry not sure since the website states "Every traveller to Kenya must have valid accommodation for their stay. This can be a hotel booking or, if you are staying with friends and family, a letter of invitiation from the host"

I am so frustrated! I have travelled to Kenya dozens of times. From Denmark. They have always, and still do, required an upload of your return (flight);ticket. There is now a requirement for A) a photo showing shoulders (.??) B) an exact address. I have an invitation letter but the my host lives on a street with no name and number. I can only put the town name. And they didn’t crept that. And the ID of the host has to be ith both sides of the ID - now.(?.?) C) my stay is 102 days. Like last time I was in Kenya. (I went for an extension). Now the (same) eTA doesn’t accept that. And I could add more things. I can’t change my ticket I absolutely cannot get a person to talk to. They refer to a chat bot which sends me lots of links high don’t correspond or solve the problem They refer to WhatsApp messages which d the same. When they have no more links to send, they say they are here to help. And txt an agent will help in less than 4 hours. That was Saturday. Today is Monday afternoon. And I have spent hours and hours to find someone talk to. I am completely stuck! Update. I got into one of the countless other sites for Visa. Called IVisa. It was a nightmare. I paid €60 for nothing Make sure you go to the eTAkenya.go.ke. A lot easier …. and cheaper. Should be about $35

@jhocast6967 I think you must have solved the problem by now. But for others …. You get a letter of invitation where it states some kind of address. Even just the name of a village or ton (as most Kenyan streets have no name or number on the houses). Or you end a photo of your rental contract if you have a rented apartment Ok me years to find out as Kenya is not really an “information” society.

You can go with your money but if its more than $5000 you will have to declare it. when your doing your application online, you will see it

"Loaded question" because a lot of factors such as which cities you plan to visit during trip. Also when i posted about what i took, debates. We took a couple that were recommended vs one that was required due to the country we visited right after Kenya. Best to consult your dr who knows your history and always check travel.state.gov for vaccinations required for destinations.

The cost for some folks. Would save about $20 for americans. But as i understand it, causes an increase for some. It is confusing. I will say it looked a lot faster to complete vs when i applied for the visa

@@WorkHardTravelWell Ok thanks, it just seems like a visa under another guise really. Ruto spoke of getting rid of visa to enter but he didn’t say it would be replaced by the ETA, or whatever it’s called. It seems like a bit of a publicity stunt. Many people turned up at the border expecting to get in for free and were turned away. They will probably increase the price of it in time to be in level with the previous visa cost. I think some Africans who were not paying before are now having to pay under this ETA thing, unless they are part of the East African economic block.
