There was lad rap before kerser you had brad strut, Willy epson, retayner, trem, kings konected and many more but kerser was the first to really bring it into the spotlight
@@markmark9469 yeah most definitely was, was it lad culture, id say yeah but not as emphasised , like it was more train taggers and graffiti artists, its was aus rap but trying to do American of that time period if that makes sense, those guys are forefathes of hiphop Australia but they never peaked, they never really moved units, sold out shows to the hight of what we see now....tbh kerser wouldn’t of been as big as he got if it wasn’t for A current affair condemning him! He blew up after that and really started to do something that wasn’t done previously, when he did the “dont fuck with kerser song” if was more like a meme, them people followed for those purposes, but as he went on he really crafted himself into his own unique identity and actually constructed himself and his lyrics all why creating his own brand of iconic Australian hiphop, it was more of the middle finger to the mainstream creating his own mainstream that flow against the grain of what mainstream was of the actual time... its like what chazza said, this new clip is a level up, and that couldn’t be more truer, kers got to keep moving forward and taking that next step otherwise so many others now are going for it.... anyway im rambling, and what i said is based on my own opinion,
My take on the clip is he's showing potentially the path he could of ended up on, ie jail, hospital, physc ward etc but he kept grinding & winning in the rap game & escaped those outcomes! 💁 the alien bit, no idea but it could possibly be an album theme of him leaving the rap game with his final album.

He said in a very recent interview that none of he’s albums or tracks he’s taken time on he’s only rushed them 3 months each album tour ect , this track all he’s said is he’s taken time on it and he’s going to take time on he’s 10th album and doesn’t care if it doesn’t come out this year he wants it to be the best he’s ever done , if you don’t believe me go look up kerser interviews and you’ll see one from a month or two ago in a small studio he’s in a nautica top and he even says everything I’ve just mentioned go see for yourself!🔥💯🙏❤️

Chazza I love ya but kers is a genuine saviour in aus rap all throughout his career hes worked his ass off reason for why chillin it's became more acceptable some how when all chill raps about is women weed wordplay kers was doin it long before with no props from mainstream media kersers name was built in the battle rap game.
That was the first thing I noticed, it was different in a way I couldn't put my finger on. The video is certainly unlike anything from Kers in the past. I do wonder if he's thinking like "Alright I made it from the underground and smashed that, now can I get some mainstream popularity/recognition worldwide?" One of the coolest videos I've seen in a while. The hook is catchy as fuck too
