Yes, either of these "speed bump" Onion design knives are good. Took you a while to get to the bottom line. IMO the military spec S30v blade is somewhat superior to the 8Cr13moV. The S30v while harder to sharpen, I believe it stays in the cutting groove much longer than the 8cr13. Additionally, the S30v knife is USA made, isn't it?
Yes. Actually, the blade quality is quite a bit better, but even the speed bump is great for the price. One thing I didn't stress enough in the video is the sharpness of the blades. It comes razor sharp, wheteas some CRKT knives I have bought came duller as a butter knife.
