I will answer this question for you Savanna (I do not work for Bones & Co but I DO sell Bones & Co at my store and also feed it to my dogs). The answer to your question is ABSOLUTELY!!!! And actually, because most dogs are starting the weening process from their mother at 6 weeks old, you can(and should) start even earlier than 8 weeks. Puppies from the time they are born are on a RAW diet (Mother's milk). So, their guts are in perfect balance between their use of acids and their mucus development to handle this transition. We only screw up our dogs stomach by transitioning them from Moms milk to anything other than a balanced raw meat. Bones & Co is 95% meat bone and organ with a small 5% amount of vegetables (to simulate the same ingredients a wolf would consume from the stomach contents of the prey they eat). In the wild, a dogs Father or older pack members will regurgitate consumed prey (raw meat) in the presence of the pups in their pack when the pups are about 5-6 weeks, for them to eat. This regurgitation is triggered when the pups lick the face of the dog that has consumed a raw diet (which is also why dogs instinctively lick our face). But hey, no need for you to regurgitate raw meat when you can buy Bones & Co.! Hope this helps. ~MJH
