Call it shock rock or horror punk the band I am doing today has an ora of danger Kettle Cadaver and band I have never heard of wn for their onstage insanity, a request by the uber awesome Paul 0))) he wanted me to checkout Ketlle Cadaver and the song Gargoyle Anthem, so let's dive in and see what happens!
Edwin Borsheim, the former lead singer to the shock-metal punk band Kettle Cadaver, is known for on-stage antics that include, but are not limited to, stapling his lips together, cutting his arms, chest and legs and nailing slabs of wood to parts of his body.

Oh man...This is a great suprise. R.I.P Edwin. He was a friend of mine. My old band Willow Wisp use to play shows with them all the time.

Edwin was my friend to. Wish he was still around. Been sporting the deathbox for 20 years since I was introduced to kettle threw a mutual friend of his when I was 14.

Crack of Dawn was the first song I heard, and the music video is awesome. I like the drummer, one of the better ones I've listened to in extreme music.

Oh, my. I don't think I will ever kettle corn again....I swear to God I don't know what's in that shit now. (Like, is it really corn?!?!) That was I don't know what....death punk with a dash of free form poetry reading?? What was Glenn Danzig's third cousin twice removed hollering about? Awaken the beast? Unleashed In the East? I don't know. This was too much for me...no disrespect to the dude who passed.

Thanks Shane! Just got home from work and your thumbnail is the first I see. You're right, these guys are more on the horror punk side, with some rock thrown in there. Yeah this cat Edwin Borsheim was pretty intense. The dude would mutilate himself in unspeakable ways.But he had the talent, along with his band members. Sadly he did have a troubled soul and decided to bail. I very good song from them is Pumpkin Man. It pretty much loops between instrumental, and Edwin shouting. But great simplistic atmospheric song.

@@ShaneDiablo He was always cool with me at party's. If Kettlecadaver didnt though, they would destroy your house during a party. My older brother graduated from TVHS the same year as him. My brother and his girlfriend went to his house and Ed had a baby coffin in his room. Dude did some weird shit but was intelligent as hell and very kind if he liked you. He just knew me as Richies little brother. I last saw him in 2004-2005 at AMPM in Lake Elsinore. I hadn't seen him since around 1999. He didnt recognize me. Last I saw him. He lost it after his lady left him and he killed himself I heard. I had friends who got the death box tatted on them lol dumb asses. Back then all the band's in Temecula put in and Ed made an compilation disk called BAD TASTE. I have a copy of that and 2 copies of horronomicon. Saw kettle like 4 times. Best part about parties back then. We all knew each other. Ah the good ole days.

I grew up with these guys in Temecula, was at the infamous Halloween show at the Q Club where he had the skinned coyote carcass.

Whoa !! That started off really cool and then tapered off a bit...the lyrics he sang..."Gargoyles wrecking the bass" ? Why would they only wreck the bass & not the guitars or drums ?...that had a little Hellraiser/8mm thing going...i feel bad he committed suicide...anyone that is that desperate...i wish would seek help ! Take care everyone !

Paul O- man I dig your variety of music taste on some other stuff you've brought but this one I take as a "huh, that was something". No disrespect for art or expression and creativity from Kettle Cadaver and their fans, but for me it's like that pink nugat chew from the candy box- I'll eat it since I bit into it but not my favorite. 😀 But it was interesting to see and I thank you for that, lol. Shane, thanks again for what you do and satisfying all us friends out here with our requests!

Kettle cadaver was garbage musically. If he had a decent let's say maybe black metal or grind band to go with his vocals they would've been cool. Now you know why he did all that shit to himself. You gotta keep the audience's attention somehow

He was underground artist so unlike mainstream your gonna have his friends not just fans seeing the comments.so please don't talk poorly on are deceased friend. Since its Xmas im trying to be nice. @SleepyclaN Zz Edwin made a lot of things. From his houses,death fight ring,a keyboard in to a drum kit.so many things. Also could sing normal to.he wasn't a one trick pony.

Edwin did the things alot of the black metal bands only sing about. Kettle opened for mayhem. Edwin jammed two syringes into his neck. "Maniac" from mayhem turned green when seeing the sight of Edwin.

@SleepyclaN Zz cellphones and camcorders weren't common in those days. That particular show might be on vhs somewhere. I didn't see it but Edwin told me about it. That documentary just gave a little taste of who Edwin was. He was alot more than that hour and a half. A one of a kind.
