Just the tip about starting at the 1-minute Mark instead of Zero has changed my whole perspective of EMOMs. For years I always would lose my place when I was tired and trying to figure out what round i was on 😂. Thanks for the "Duh" moment. 🙏
I agree completely I was at Crunch fitness today doing the workout with my iPad and had 5 or 6 people ask me about it. What I was doing? Where did I get this from?
I’m planning to start a gymnastic rings program in the spring (built around Skin The Cat and Muscle Ups). What are your thoughts on running sessions of AXE concurrently with rings?
Good morning teacher, my name is José Luiz and I'm from Brazil! Teacher, what would be the objective of this hardstyle kettlebell training, every 60 seconds to perform 4 repetitions of a single-sided swing, what is the main objective?
Hello Coach! Thanks for the great content. Is it recommended to integrate different systems from your channel in a program or is it preferred to stich with one?
What are your thoughts, if wearing a heart rate monitor, of ignoring the timer and instead starting a set once you reach the desired heart rate? If I recall, in AXE it was your Maffetone heart rate?
Great video and content as always 🙏. I have a question regarding the talk test, which I’ve always found quite vague and hard to nail down. An example would really help. Do you have a particular way you like to do the talk test? E.g. a certain sentence or something you use at the 45 sec mark?
I agree! The talk test is a useful tool but often when it is discussed it isn’t very prescriptive. If I may, here are some examples I’ve come across are: - reciting your entire address - reciting the United States Pledge of Allegiance - my personal one I use is reciting the Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star So something in the range of about 2-3 sentences perhaps(?) Just my thoughts.
I did this workout yesterday but 6 reps 32 kg I have no 40 kg kettlebell. Should we do this no more than 3 times a week? The rest of the days if we do other things with Kettlebells, in my case between 300 and 500 reps of kettlebell swings, I'm now thinking that is not a good idea because de acidification so should I rest? Walk? Do nothing?
Why so few reps? When I do EMOMs, there's enough reps for 20 to do 25 seconds of work, the rest is standard around. Your taking less than 10 seconds to complete the reps. Huh?
If I understand correctly, in a simple explanation, it's so you can stay explosive throughout the entire workout. It's not meant to tax your cardio SO much to where you lose out on performing each rep with 100% explosiveness. I do recommend his Part 1 video. It explains it in detail.
