Enjoying the series so far, I find it interesting how the scenes with Kevin have a bright colorful filter with laugh tracks, sitcom style, and when he is gone it changes to a darker tone and the laugh tracks are gone.

When i watch King of Queens and this show back to back it is so great. This show has an EXCELLENT premise, good casting but idk about execution/direction they go. The creepy train guy from Big Bang is perfect as the Kevin James/ Al Bundy/Homer Simpson.

The whole point of the show is that it's a lame sitcom, but you get to see the wife's character not in the sitcom setting as well. It's a really good show.

Probably the most unfunny "sitcom" ever. This show chugs from "comedy" to "drama" and can never make up its mind what it really wants to be. Two seasons? Lucky it had two episodes aired.

It’s not trying to make up its mind, the whole point and premise of the show is that when Kevin is around it’s a sitcom, and when he’s absent it’s a character drama. The sitcom is metaphorical for how obnoxious and fake Kevin is, just like a sitcom.
