Such a beautiful speech. Lots of simularities between our Fathers, hunting, work ethics.Heartfelt memories for sure. Grew up thinking the only dogs to have were Pointers,Red Irish Setters,Beagles and Labs. And I had those until older. No wonder your such a well rounded good man. You were raised to accomplish much and give more. ❤

What a wonderful testimony for why we hunt. I know not everyone understands it. I certainly hope non hunters at least gain an inkling of what it means to those of us that do hunt. It’s never about killing. It’s always about conservation and communion with God and nature and family and friends. If we are fortunate our efforts garner us delicious table fair and maybe even a trophy as a life long memory of a glorious day afield. Thank you for sharing! Both the video and the Forbes article.

My first rifle was a used Win 3030 in 1964. I was lucky enough to raise my boys while we had a black lab and teach them to bird hunt in N Cal. They each got a Mossberg 20ga for their 12th birthdays and went through the hunter safety course with me. They are in their upper fifties now and took me on an Antelope hunt two years ago in Wyoming. This video brought me laughter, tears, and heart warming memories of the many early morning coffees and hunts. I have done OK in life, but the richest thing I have is my two sons and the relationship we have shared over the years.

he kicked out a down and out Screenwriter from his home, and later found something the screenwriter wrote and Costner used it as his own, it was for Dances with Wolves, he had to acknowledge the screen writer, I am not a Fan of Costner

That is a distorted retelling of what actually happened. Please look for the truth.

Actually the story is a bit more complicated than that. And, might I add, much more interesting. You would do well to learn the complete story which is about the long standing friendship Kevin and Michael Blake had. Kevin did have him as a houseguest but he did ask him to leave for a few reasons. Not the least of which was that he knew he wasn’t helping Michael by letting him crash at his house and watch his life go by. When Michael left, Kevin told him to write the book he was always talking about. He finally did write the book and asked Kevin to read it which he did. Kevin always told this story and said at the end of recounting it…”And that book was Dances With Wolves.” Michael won an Oscar, a Golden Globe and a WGA award and all of the awards were for his screenplay of Dances. And I did read the book and it was a great read. Michael passed in 2015 (May he rest in peace) but his legacy is leaving behind a great book which led to a beautiful film and quite possibly one of the finest Westerns ever made. Not quite sure why you seem to enjoy character assassination so much when you incorrectly imply that Kevin stole the idea of Dances from Michael. In fact, the opposite is true. Kevin decided to make a movie of the film and had Michael adapt his book into a screenplay. The rest, as they say, is history. Kevin Costner has a well deserved reputation in the film business of being a man of integrity. No small matter when there are so many people in that business who have no integrity at all. They can’t even spell the word and therefore can’t find it in a dictionary to help themselves understand what they don’t posses. Frankly, you don’t seem to posses an understanding of the word either. What you do possess is a stunning amount of ignorance along with an equally stunning capacity for being mean spirited. You might want to consider some serious therapy in the hope of actually turning into a decent human being some day. Good luck with that. *Edited due to typos.
