I met this guy when he first wrote this song. He stopped by the station my dad worked at. My dad told him my name was Jessie and he busted out with this in the parking lot. Perfect way to make a 13-year old feel special.
My Jessie is Jody. Summer ‘94. I haven’t seen her in over 10 years, but she still drives me crazy. She’s the only thing in my life that I’ve ever craved. The memories of our runs in the rain still fill my heart. Here’s to you and your Jessie.
my dad played me this song. I fell in love. he's always on the road and he told me he misses me while he's gone so he plays this CD to listen to this song. now I find myself listening to it all the time because funny thing is my name is just Jessie. I have green eyes and auburn hair:)
TacoJim with a name like taco jim says he has some interesting friends. Maybe some perspective brother haha glad you came here to listen and find him out.
I remember in 01 when this song came out. I was in 11th grade on Spring break. first time I heard it i was working on my firebird, tearing up thinking about my ex. to this day, my favorite song.
What a great song. I remember hearing it back in 02, but I was a young kid then and I forgot about it. Heard it today on the radio in the truck and my oh my those instrumentals hit me like a brick.
He is an amazing singer/song writer. I saw him a few months ago when he came to my hometown for a benefit concert with some other song writers from Nashville. I love this song and I love his music and work!
I used to love this song, still like it, but I was obsessed w/ it for a little while. HS sweetheart's name was Jessie and this song litterally describes her to a T. It was so freaky when it first came out, we had just broken up (mutual) and this song definately reminded me of her. Thanks for posting
The first time I heard this song I was in middle school and when me and my first love broke up this was the song I listened to when she'd cross my mind
I was named after this song, my dad hated the name Jessica but my mom turned him onto this song and the nickname Jessie. He was a truck driver, and I have green eyes and auburn hair(: This song is so good.
I coudnt go to my exes 8th grade dance so I played this song and we danced in my room. This song brings a lot of good memories and some bad ones. But she is still cool. We talk every now and then still.
it's no'mam, Tanner :) I still say he sounds like Keith. We can agree that it's a good song. Country music used to be so good. Can't stand most of the junk they play today. I prefer listening to the older stuff.
Okay Jesse. It is nice to meet all you Jesse's/Jessie's. By the way, this is a nice song from the spring of 2002. This was Kevin Denney's first and his biggest hit single..
