I Like Giannis First One More i cried, but you could just feel that KD was also just truth to his feeling and thats what makes it Special. Look at James Hardens for Example
your mama fed you and she slept hungry? i dont believe you. then why were you so skinny when you entered nba and yo mama was so fat at the time? yea man... it was you slept hungry and yo mama ate that last hotdog
8 years later, & this still brings tears to my eyes every time man. we wouldn’t be who we are without our parents. cherish every moment you have with them.
KD was and is the Soul reason of OKC Sucessfull Playoffs Russ Never Left the First Round in the Playoffs Since 2016 without Kd Now Russ is Bouncing from Team to Team a Journey Man Russ Never Appriacted KDs Carrying Them Thru Out His Career.
@@dj0rtega Shit happens. He chose to leave a broken system, and became a vital part of a legendary dynasty. I love russ, but I don't think he's the guy you wanna partner up with to contend for a chip.
yeah ok. cause you have alll the anwsers... no hes not hes a great guy and you dont know his story. he may be selfish when he plays but so are all of the best players ever.
Proud single mom, I'm raised by a single mom and we're doing good. People say single moms aren't good parents and stuff and it's not true. They sacrifice so much u wouldn't believe it.
One of the best speeches in history not just sports but in history especially with Mother’s Day coming! I appreciate all the mother’s that love they’re children so much! May the LORD continue to bless you!
I felt that way originally but memes are best when they’re from media content we recognize. The reason so many come from this speech is because it is one of the most famous and moving pieces of oration in human history. We use the memes because they’re relatable. It’s why so many come from Good Will Hunting or The Lord of the Rings. There’s infinite commentary on the human condition to be found in these works, and now, this speech holds a place in immortality with those great works of art. The main difference is that this isn’t fiction. It’s neither a parable nor a metaphor. This is real. And that makes it so much more powerful. So, if it’s of any comfort, friend, those same memes we feel might be disrespectful initially bring people by the millions to this moving tribute to friendship, hard work, love, sacrifice, and-most importantly-the love of a mother. And I’ve seen many comments from folks who now understand the gravity of this man’s words. Professional sports can inspire cynicism & joy in nearly equal doses. The unity of fans, cities, countries, is often rivaled by violence and hatred. The intricate choreography and physical skill is paralleled by brutality, injury, cheating, even death. The purity of competition is perpetually tainted by corruption, bribery and politics. These leagues and organizations have exploited young athletes for their labor, turning performance art into painful toil and festivals of sport into hunger games. And this young man-who escaped destitute poverty, in a nation of corporate oligarchy, to become a billionaire at a younger age than the power hungry men who sign his paychecks, by playing basketball-that young man has become an inspiration to millions and lifted thousands of people in hundreds of communities out of the same desperate situations he faced as a child. So as he stands, draped in Kia and NBA logos, seemingly honored by his lessers, with an award won by his idols, this modern day god (both financially and athletically) reminds us that he is not a god. He is but the product of people who loved him and supported him; the son of a woman who gave him the opportunity to be happy against. all. odds. That’s quite an ounce of beauty to squeeze out of that orange ball. Thank you, KD.
As a die hard OKC fan...what happened to this humble man...😭 He was my idol since 2007 when I watched the supersonics and his rookie year. See GS fans get it confused. Most of us OKC fans do hate Durant but it's not really because we hate him, it's because we miss him and are heartbroken by what he did. I watched everything he did. I was 8 years old when I bought his jersey and played basketball everyday and he was always my favorite player. No matter what he did I loved him. When he lost in 2012 nobody gave him any stick. Every year we supported him no matter what. Now as an 18 year old, 10 years later to see how he acts and how different he has become, it makes me so sad man. I wish GS fans would understand he was the city, the team, and the role model for so many young kids like I was and not feel the need to talk so much shit to us as if they supported him their whole life. They will never understand. They blame Russ and all that bs etc. as a die hard OKC fan I know Durant loved Russ. Our GM is why Durant left. He never received praise from him and our GM, Sam P, never did what it took to win. He didn't care to keep harden and pay a little extra. As Durant I don't blame him but I wish he kept that humble attitude that I loved for 10+ years. GS fans need to let us vent. I wish they could understand what we feel as fans seeing him leave. We're all just saddened by the move.
Ziel hey man as a gsw fan i got confused and happy at the same time then slowly by slowly i was starting to think about the okc fans's feeling whats it like to have superstar a top 3 player and arguably the best player in okc history leaving to a team that beat them i feel so sorry for you guys i now understand the feeling you and many other okc fans felt after kd leaving but anyways wish you and your teams best at the future who knows there might be a better player than kd in the future that will be in okc but nonetheless goodluck to you and your teams future
If you are struggling with life rn know that my mother was a single mother and had to raise 5 kids including me and know that god is always with you but most importantly know that your mother is the strongest women alive and she loves you very much
I remember watching and admiring KD in 2012-2013, man I wanted to get his shirt but had no money. Then I had a terrible accident at work, spent a half year in hospital and my friend bought me his shirt when I came back home, early 2014. Couple months later KD becomes MVP, gives this speech. Man! I was happy for him, thankful and really felt his words. One of the rare players I have a special connection with, despite never seeing him or talking with him.
As a man who was raised by a single mom...I always lose it when KD tell his that she’s truly the real MVP. And god, it’s so true. You gotta love a success story like this. “We wasn’t supposed to be here” But ya’ll made it. Kudos to the future GOAT and the woman that raised him.
went from one of the most loved players in the league to one of its most hated. although i don’t like his decisions regarding teams, I still respect the man because of his love and respect for his mom. anybody that treats and acknowledges their momma like that (as they should) is doing something right in my book.
ya boi soos You can't blame a guy for wanting to win a ring. Especially a player of his caliber. He knows with his age and timing this is his moment and time he can't waste it
He's in his prime, that's the exact reason he should have stayed with OKC! To leave at your best without delivering a ring to that city, to that franchise, to that team!
This speech had me in tears 😭 I'm probably gonna cry in my MVP speech someday because I'm living the dream and have friends who have faith in me when I didn't. I'll put my friends and family first, then me second. They all do what's best for me and give me confidence when I'm lacking. No matter what, everyday, they're here for me, and I really gotta thank them for that because without them I wouldn't be the person I am today. Thank you whoever reads this.
the way russ just dont want to cry when KD talks is so bromance fr. KD be saying sweetass stuff and Russ starts looking down in the ground when he said i love you man
