Yousaf Shaikh its sad but there is tremendous research out there regarding advantages for people with more american sounding names like “john” etc. One strong example would be jobs and getting call backs
@@TheIcemanthomas What you mean proof ? Don't you have internet to search the news online? Or don't you watch news ? Just play basketball in your PlayStation ? I like Ray Allen and his game, his movie and the Run with the Celtics. That's why I CAME here to watch his hall of fame induction. But let's not act like he's an angel. Or like he's perfect and don't make mistakes. THAT shit with the hooker happened weeks later when people were saying he was thinking about making a comeback remember ? That incident was very embarrassing to him because he was the one who met her by searching women online with the intention to hook up . But whatever. He paid the consequence and moved on. I'm surprised you don't know that shit man
@@Kamelody-kn9gw who cares nigga? I don't give af bout his sex life. I'm a baller nigga. I watch him on the floor. That's all I need to know. Foh internet accuser.
CPGoat #3 u stupid, u no baller. Give up u not going pro, the real niggas in the gym not on RU-vid. And he is right, ray did cheat it’s no secret. Idiot.
dawox23 Ray Allen and Allen Iverson were the only 2 that were inducted into the HOF that mentioned Jordan as their biggest influence on their careers. No doubt MJ has influenced many other future hall of famers immensely (i.e. Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, etc).
@@jayemz7384 Reggie Miller was more of an antagonist to Jordan. Reggie had great respect for Mike, but he was kind of like a thorn in the side of Jordan. I remember one game where they almost came to blows.
@@lionelkennedy1394 Mike said Reggie was annoying and had chicken legs, and kept throwing his flimsy arms in his face. 🤣 They still respected each other though and Reggie, like virtually everyone else regards Jordan as the GOAT. Great speech from Ray there.
mikeandmars2345 That was a great shot if you are looking at what Jordan accomplished before; but if you compare it, Paxson, Kerr made basically the same shot to clinch the championship. Nobody has done what Allen did. Ray Allen shot was more important if you look at the overall picture instead of focusing on one player.
I'm not sure I have seen a more humble, gracious, speech at the Hall of Fame. Well done Ray Allen, well done...... a great player and even better person.
Well yeah naw totally different. When Ray joined he had Lebron, Bosh and Wade. When Rondo joined the Lakers all they have is Lebron. Completely different skill levels. I still think that Rondo, Garnett and Pierce need to quit acting like some hoe ass niggas and get over Ray leaving. I could understand if they was still upset after a few years, but its been over 10 years and they still act like hoes. Yall made over 100 million dollars easy, and you act like what Ray did was the worst thing ever.
tough to say, very subjective. But I think there's something less "difficult" or clutch when you're in that situation and you have no other choice than to shoot. You don't have time to think or for pressure to build, you only have one option and it's to shoot. I think Lebron 3 right before could arguably be more clutch, and Jordan's in '98 because of the buildup and the time for defense to set, pressure to build, etc.
The Mamba mentality was taken to another level after getting inspired by Ray Allens prediction comments on Kobe, thank you Ray Allen for pissing Kobe off so that he takes his game to a whole higher level. Ray is a genius.
Wow! Time does fly! I remember when Ray was just a kid, living on Edwards Air Force Base, cutting grass during the summer months back in the mid 80s. Way to go, young man! I’m so darn proud of you! And congratulations, Coach Phil! You positively touched many lives, including my oldest son.
he was in the dunk contest in his rookie year, also there was the dunk on t-mac in the playoffs when he was still with Milwaukee (forgot what year that was)
I’ll never forget being at work at Rocky Rococo in the summer of 2000 in Wauwatosa WI (suburb of Milwaukee WI) and seeing Ray Allen (favorite player at the time) walk past and I went to talk to him. He was the nicest person ever and actually bought me some Chinese food and sat and talked to me as we both met; it was weird , it was almost like we were friends for years and I was just a fan. That was a moment of my life as a 17 year old that I’ll never forget, great player and a good person. Congrats to him for making the hall
Great ambassador of life and basketball. Classy, humble and a true professional - always reliable and clutch. You deserve your HOF. Congratulations and a toast to your greatness.
This, without a doubt, was one of the best Hall of Fame speeches I’ve ever heard. And he didn’t write anything down either. Excellent job by Ray Allen! And what a beautiful family he has. Mr. Ray Allen you are blessed! Great job!
Ray Allen is pure class, grace, and excellence all wrapped up in one. There has never been a better outside shooter in the NBA than Ray Allen, in my opinion.
Ray allen is such an amazing guy. He lectured at my high school in Connecticut for our summer camp and he was just a magnetic humble guy. He deserves everything he has coming..
Philippines love you Mr.Ray Allen !!!In behalf of our country men thank you !!!You made us happy when evrytime you played out there just by watching you across the miles you made us happy!!God bless you !!
what a great speech, I've seen a lot of speeches and a lot of players speak English as if it's their 2nd language literally struggling to find words and I understand the pressure of the moment but god Ray speaks his mind out without stopping once. Great ball player, great shooter and surely a better person. Thank you Ray
What a speach! What really touched me was the way he talked about his family, his kids, and asking us to be examples for our children, the way he honored the people in the military and the people from the towns where he lived in. Inspiring!
This is a good, excellence hall of fame speech. All speeches should have that kind of format...The why, what, when, and how, including examples of the beginning of it all. Best one, since Michael Jordan
He was there 6 1/2 years. He didn't mention it cause Karl traded him, a few other players and a 1st round pick for a washed up Gary Payton and Desmond Mason. They pretty much couldn't stand each other. He didn't mention Doc Rivers either lol. Rivers cut his minutes and wanted to trade him in Boston.
The George Karl thing I understand but Doc Rivers cutting his minutes was Not a bad thing. He was already up n age and actually doing Allen a favor by extending his career.
The way that he spoke about each one of his kids character and qualities was by far the highlight for me. The entire speech was pure class. Thanks for all the great memories Ray (aka Jesus Shuttleworth)!! 🎉
Ray is the Consummate professional, when Steph gets into the HOF 10yrs from now. The proven story of Ray, paying thanks to the older generation, will resonate the epic status of basketball that we have witnessed in these ages. Can’t wait to hear that!
My God! What an awesome and powerful Hall of Fame speech presented by Ray Allen. Truly, an intelligent and grateful athlete. Would have been a general if he didn't enter the NBA!!!!!
Kids hate kobe for being just like mike, you have to know everybody wanted to be like him. The fact that kobe did it to a very large extent makes him very special.
Jesus Shuttlesworth.... Lebron James, Should be Present and be kissing you right now, with the big Shot that gave him his second ring... I love your game
You forgot they were down by double digits in fourth quarter and lebron hit a three to make it a one possession game. But you got selective memory though.
@Tommy Bain right,no more talk, the real lebronsexuals kill me. It's a team sport no one kills bosh who was guarding Duncan and Dirk, nor Wade who guarded terry.
Ray Allen! Wow! One of the greatest of all time. I remember seeing him in “He got game” and those Jordan’s that I just bought again last week was for that reason...Man I feel nostalgic watching him speak.
Damn I feel old....but I feel great knowing that I got to watch great players come into the league and then exit the league as winners regardless of titles won. Wonder if Steph will have Ray and Klay up there when it's his time because that was a passing of the torch in a sense, from the greatest shooter of one era to the next era....Class of 2018 congrats to all of you!
Well deserved! Congratulations Ray Allen you're a awesome team player and excellent shooter and dunker! Ray I love your suit too Bro! Beautiful speech!👏👏👏
