IMO the cavs played way too much one on one with KD. And I understand that they’d also have to double curry and watch him and klay off the 3 point line but this dude is the whole package on the offensive end when you’re talking about 3-pt range, mid-range, in the post, or just facing up. Lebron should have been guarding this man all series.

I’m a huge LeBron fan. But let’s be honest. KD will go down as the Second best SF this game has ever seen. He has everything in his arsenal no one in the NBA can guard him. If leave the Warriors and win multiple championships on a different team. He might be better than LeBron with all do respect.
There are few bigger KD fans than me, but Chuck is right; at least partially. KD wasn't a busrider, he was a superstar and probably the second best player behind James. However, the Warriors didn't need KD, he was a luxury. He wasn't the busrider, Curry was. Curry was double teamed 44 times in the finals, Durant was double teamed twice.
There’s no need for Durant to leave the Warriors, at all. Stay there and keep winning for as long as possible, even finish your career there. If he wins 6, 7 or 8 rings altogether with 5+ Finals MVPs, he’d have shut Lebron out of the conversation for GOAT and put himself in that discussion instead and at the least be recognised as the clear second greatest player of all time behind MJ. Apart from MJ who has 6 Finals MVPs, there’s no player with more than 3 Finals MVPs (Magic, Shaq, Duncan are tied with 3 each. Kobe, Hakeem, Larry Bird, Kareem AbdulJabbar etc are all tied with 2 each). Currently Lebron has 3 FMVPs and KD has 2 FMVPs. The player who gets 4 MVPs automatically becomes the clear second on the climb for greatest of all time status. The more FMVPs in addition to that draws that player closer to MJ in conversation for GOAT status.
