Yeah man, I went to the doctor and keep telling about all this negative stuff. So I asked him tell me something positive and his like, well here is that test...
Who the hell would want to be? Why the hell is having a perceptual bias is something desirable? Why do we want news to be objective or neutral, but want our perceptions to be continuously biased in favour of things we like? With all this talk of echo chambers why are people still wanting to build their own perceptual one?
being positive has become “cringy” cause it means you’re living the best life you can which is hard. negative people don’t want to be reminded that they don’t have the courage to do the same.
@@gezzapk no you’re completely right. Happiness and positivity is becoming less popular. Everyone is depressed. Everyone is negative. People hate what they don’t have and it keeps them in an endless cycle of negativity and depression. That’s why it’s up to people who do have that positive mentality and perspective on life to spread it far and wide. It’s contagious. You just have to have enough people willing to spread that energy.
No because if your life is shit "pretending" to be happy all the time makes you a fake. There is plenty to be cynical about and intelligent people tend to suffer more from depression because they consider those things. So people who are happy all the time seem naive or stupid in certain circumstances. Lots of people just put on a brave face because of societal expectations anyway it takes more courage to be real.
Wow these past 10 minutes have completely changed how I see this man. He isn't just another comedian he KNOWS life. I need to think about this more often and give people the respect they deserve
Much respect for Kevin Heart, I use to work for a private airline at the air port, as I was walking in at about 5:00 am I see Kevin Heart walking up to his truck, I knew who he was instantly, I had to say what’s up, he said what’s up man dapped me up with a hug and went on our way. Very humble and will always respect this man.
This conversation reminds me of the quote “Hard times create strong men, Strong men create good times, Good times create weak men, And weak men create hard times.”
This occurs in families as well, but sometimes hard times break men, broken men create ultra-hard times for the next generation(abuse) and the generation will either propagate the abuse or will break the cycle and will become really strong men.
I'm just here because I'm bored right now and I had a bad day. Damn... I didn't expect Kevin Hart to turn my bad mood around and brighten up my day. He's absolutely right with what he's saying.
This part of the podcast genuinely changed my life, and the way I saw everything. Love coming back to this every so often, and reminisce the impact it had on me.
caleb williams Yeah my man I been listening to him for a lil min this 2020 and bro rlly man you think this man clowns a lot but when he sit down and actually talk it changes u
I love that what makes a rich and successful man truly happy is loving family connections...something that’s within reach to average people. This honesty is really meaningful.
I'm equally annoyed by toxic positivy these days which comes from fake people or influencers/youtubers a lot. You aren't allowed to tell the truth anymore (which is negative sometimes) else you are a hater, racist, sexist etc.
@Valerij I get your point. Being delusional about the reality is bad but if we can acknowledge the negatives or bads of life and move on and have a belief that things will change if we work on it, then it will change for good eventually. Toxic and positivity doesn't work together. Innovative, growth and success comes to who he believes in himself instead of facts.
I don't find the need for a family, but the magic of living in a meaningless world is that the definition for happiness is completely open to every individual. The problems arise when you start holding yourself to happiness as defined by other people.
It’s Satan’s agenda to be negative. It’s not a coincidence that positive thinking is what God wants, and positive thinking leads to mental health. Negativity, negative self talk, criticism of others is all leading to mental issues and broken relationships. Look at TV nowadays, it’s not a coincidence there are no more shows like “Family Matters” “Growing Pains” “Different Strokes” etc. Satan is behind the scenes to make you mentally sick Do you doubt me??? Read it yourself “Then the devil took him up and revealed to him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time. “I will give you the glory of these kingdoms and authority over them,” the devil said, “because they are mine to give to anyone I please. I will give it all to you if you will worship me.” Jesus replied, “The Scriptures say, ‘You must worship the LORD your God and serve only him.’ ”” Luke 4:5-8 NLT www.bible.com/116/luk.4.5-8.nlt
This was under the context of leaving negative comments. Nothing wrong with leaving normal comments or positive comments, especially if it’s beneficial to your growth.
i dont even think he uses social media period. Hes from a different era and doesn't need it to grow who he is. We know who he is. You see a lot of content creators and whatever it may be with social media, commenting on a lot of stuff and in negative ways. It doesn't affect their growth. It doesn't take much time to comment on something right in front of your face lol.
Kevin is a sage fr. A happy jolly sage. Definitely someone you want to mold your life after and do better for not only yourself, but the ones you value.
I gotta say this guy's talk is really uplifting in a genuine sense. Like he said it's not fake, it's not phony, that's really what makes that kind of enthusiasm real to me. There's a lot of "toxic positivity" and I've been having trouble figuring out when it's okay to be sad and when I should pick myself up throughout my life. The kind of positivity that acknowledges the bad times but works to promote the good is the kind of positivity the world really needs
He's not a follower and didn't follow the party line. They want blind FOLLOWERS ! Question anything and they turn on you and eat their own. That is why the left is afraid of it's own people, it's held together by FEAR of being attacked, doxed, fired, and even having people physically attack you like from one story where they kept throwing rocks thru their windows, slashing their tires ! They are racists and if you leave you become the ENEMY !
I have four rules I live by daily: #1: Wake up believing that it will be a better day than yesterday. #2: It's okay to not have a good day. #3: It doesn't matter because it's in the past. #4: You could be dead. Because of these things, I stay positive 90% of the time. Even with everything that's happening in this insane world, I just know it'll all be okay.
And bad days are nothing but tests. If you suscept yourself to the same cycle, the same bad stuff will happen everyday. You are supposed to, as good ol' Bart says^, gain from each day and become better.
It is cool to be positive too. Entertainment is about both sides of the extreme. I have no family. Don't speak to both my parents abused my sisters, the rules AJ has aren't same as mine. But the concept of having self guidance is very beneficial
Well if you reverse it, you can say "why is it people waste their time just to (eventually) spend money?". If you do, you posit the question of why people work jobs. Money and time are not the same, is what I'm saying.
are you stupid? It is obvious... we spend our time to make money and use money to do what makes us happy. sometimes things that makes us happy is not free so that is why we spend time to make money
@@rajbhattacharya4427 Money is just means for living. The idea of humans is to be useful and be helpful to one another. Thats what living is in a sense.
I've always been a fan of Kevin Hart. I like him even more now. Made me think twice about the way I often act. I feel I got something from this that will better my life. Thanks Joe and Kevin, great conversation!
Props to these two for an amazing conversation! 👏I love listening to Kevin Hart,Steve Harvey and Robin Williams for motivation in life when you are feeling down and alone..❤️
@@JB.zero.zero.1 you're basically replying negative crap to everyone in this comment section. And the only one feeling miserable is you xD. Go take a walk dude, it'll help
@Cosmic Kryptonian ; and y do u think he is a good person, do u know him personally do u know what he does behind close doors to keep that fame and wealth, u think it's cuz of his talent, don't think so. but i am pretty sure u don't believe Hollywood is demonic.
100% I work in a window, door, and cabinet warehouse and the morale there was so low when I started. I know the guys all have hard lives and the job doesn't help it, so everyday I hype it up. I turn every negative into a positive and promote helping each other out. Every negative moment there, I bring 2 positive moments to counter balance the energy. It was exhausting at first until a couple of guys started to smile and that's when I started to see a change. Some people just need an example of positivity to get out of their hole of nagativity. Thanks guys! Loved this video! Spread love, compassion and joy!
Just wanted to take a moment of my valuable time to say how much I enjoyed Kevin Hart's effusive, enthusiastic wisdom and how much I appreciate Joe Rogan for trying to bring out the wisdom in everyone.
Nah b, it’s all in the progression of your heart. The fear and anxiety of life’s circumstances create a belief system of you have a limited supply, but if this is the necessary next step, in which it very well be, don’t attach this negativity to a great video. You are doing exactly what needs to be done for you to find your peace and happiness in Gods kingdom. There are things greater than your worldly goals, so do not let time be the object that scares you out of achieving them. It’s never to late. If your goals MUST change, be confident that you ARE is greater than what you were and the current you can find another opportunity to succeed. Peace, Peter. It’s a great name.
What i learned in Japan was that its actually cool to be "the wise, clever and compassionate hero" over there, and the badass people are likened to criminals/yakuza. Whereas in America and some western countries its opposite, being "badass" or "special" is glorified, and the brave "good/positive" hero's are either treated like movie stars or absolute garbage. This contrast seriously changed my perspective. It affects entire societies. Just see, Japanese bus stops with flowerbeds whether its in a good or bad neighbourhood (And Shinjuku was considered a red light district in Japan with yakuza when I lived there) vs. American or Australian bus stops vandalized by frustrated teens being badass, no matter if good or bad neighbourhood (although less vandalism/property destruction in "better" neighbourhoods, it still happens at times or in different ways). what's truly cool imo, is to be quietly brave.
There's too many things wrong with western society where people feel that being selfish and negative are a good thing wherein we're just used to it and that's sad because out of the freedoms we have here to make good things we still like to be miserable
@@protohass So true. Even if someone isn't overwhelmingly positive, being neutral seems to not be an option. Things are so polarized and people are incredibly prideful in their stances and opinions. Social media has made it worse because they announce it to the open world and only seem to link up with like-minded individuals, creating a space for the negativity and polarization (sometimes radicalization) to fester
What a lovable humble guest, Kevin's positivity help all of us, Specially in this situation. Please invite positive people like him to your show. Thanks Joe
But yeah same, didn't really know much about him other than his comedy isn't for me, which it still isn't, but I get huge Kanye West positivity vibes from this video. Great stuff.
This is a message I needed more than I could have ever known. Mr. Hart that was incredibly inspiring for me. I am working hard to change the ways i think and feel about life and this helps so immensely, it moves me to tears. Thank you for how you choose to be. 🙏
@Nathaniel Smith umm, negative woosh...not sure what to call it. This is the cynicism he was talking about, at some point you will learn, happiness is the goal to life. I'm not religious, but I know people who get upset all the time don't know peace. The easiest way to distribute happiness is to show or express it. When you don't show it, you don't get it back. You obviously can't tell how a conversation like this would benefit your life. Maybe some day...
@@Rob165x It's like the Nathan guy didnt even watch the video xD Instantly judging it from the start and letting his ego cloud his understanding, perhaps.
@Nathaniel Smith its truth sometimes being happy is not popular, people, controversal. People rather be rude, egoistical, angry rather than happy, nice, vivid. It exist a balance, and positive rule, but most of the time people rather chose being a stupid douche. Rather than a cool funny guy. Having a discuss with some think they r against them. So he is on point.
@Nathaniel Smith This is exactly the negative vibe from your wannabe contrarian egotistical cynicism that Kevin Hart criticized early on in the video, you dumb clown.
You are welcome. I was actually the one who put it in your reccomended so as a service fee i would like you to transfer 20 dollars into my paypal account
Jordan is a total winner, except when he is running up gambling debts that get his father killed. If there were a youtube then perhaps he would have commented, I was planning on paying!
It's not cool to be positive or negative... What I do love is how he says about picking up other people even when they are down. If only more would do that
Listening to KH is one of my fave things to do. I love him as a comedian, actor, business man and person. Jus a great human. I love his books. So much to learn, always! Thank you for always being YOU!
@Bezz80 I work in sales and dealing with "normal" people is a begrudging and degrading experience. Most have nothing of interest to talk about and are robotic in nature. It's very interesting to hear these people that Rogan brings on explain their disposition in life and how they got there. Most started from scratch and made it, that's the kind of people I like to be around.
You'll probably never see this but I'm going to say it anyway. Thank you Kevin Hart. I really needed this today and I promise that I will try to apply these lessons to my life. Don't stop being you.
Only negative comments lol Leaving positive comments shows this is how you choose to relax or enjoy your free time. Negative comments show you are not happy and not doing anything better to change that
Commenting is fine lol it’s just when you’re sending blind hate for absolutely no reason that you’re wasting your time which is the one resource you can’t replenish.
@@Terryshowedup I mean, that's very broad. I believe you can critique. If someone leaves a reply under a comment that disagrees on a viewpoint for a movie, as long as they discuss it, I'm fine with that.
material pattern gold is not rare neither are diamonds, theyre just held so the market is flooded with it and they can control prices. Interesting fact
This is a prime example of an individual that has come to peace with whatever life throws at him and turn it positive. I hope we all can learn from Kevin AND Joe's positive views on life. Keep doing you Kev, love you for it!
So basically create a surrounding of YesMen around you. I get the not dwelling in negativity part. But forcing positivity is not a good long term strategy either. It's a fine line we must judge everyday and everymoment.
This is so true! I'm inspired to focus more on what's good in my life and the world at large. It's hard with how crazy we're being made to act rn with the rona but I will do my best. I've already overcome so much in my life that I'm generally happy thank god. Spread love, not hate y'all!
This is hands-down one of the best podcast episodes in the Joe Rogan series. Never knew Kevin Hart had such an amazing side to him. Serious respect for the guy!
