"I'm thinking differently, because I'm thinking about myself. Making myself better puts me in a position to make others better. Be the example, not the problem." - Kevin Hart
@@mannyinthegarden There always needs to be this one Karen (male or female) who asks this, making oneself higher and wiser then others in one's own eyes
Agreed. It's even almost 2am here, as I'm listening, and woke up and planned my day already, instead of letting it just sink, and already created something I wanted to do in a while, but never put hands into action. I'm sleeping so great tonight, tranquil because I'm moving forward on things I wasn't doing at my best. Makes me so motivated!
When he say about the school part hit me hard, i was like him. I am doing great today, but i was "left behind" when everyone was going to better school, getting great job and all. I was living at my parents house and i was stuck in life because i didn do what i suppose to do at my age, most of my friends move forward and i stay behind. Its fucking depressing as hell, but at that point you cant fall lower than that. So i didn have anything to lose, start training and build myself up again. Getting help and accept how far i have fallen in life and admit i am behind everyone, i was a fucking loser. Its 15 years ago and now i have my own business and family, so dont give up.
He's very genuine. His next book should be called "Straight From The Hart". Edit: I just found out that he actually has a XM Radio show by the very same name 😂. Oh well, maybe he can call it "From My Hart To Yours".
Im 20 too, my lifes shit :( Tired of doing things i dont want to do causing me to get so behind in life, so tired of the temporary pleasures setting me back, now im fixing my life fuck this got 10 years till im 30 no more wasted years fuck this .. youll never regret the changes you know you have to make
this isnt "inspirational"...or "self aware"...this is something different...this is human...i cant explain it very well, but i honestly feel like im going to try a little harder today... kevin hart might be able to fix us...
It's human because he showed his mistakes lotta gurus are fake and never share the struggle behind success keep it up I'm right behind ya pushing harder today
This was an amazing podcast. Kevin Hart talked through most of it and I was getting inspired with every sentence he said. That burst of enthusiasm that he said he has now came to him when he's almost 40, and that gives me hope that it is not too late for me. The only person holding me back is myself. I did not ever think Kevin Hart the comedian would be the one to give me that type of motivation, but I am so glad he did. You keep being you Kevin and Joe. You guys are doing good work out there. Thank you!
Carlo Gambino you clearly do not understand how ideas spread. Lol. If it changes my world, I change the world by default. You also have the same effect. Silly child
I think this 16 minutes have eased my depression and anxiety more than any medication I’ve taken. Sometimes we blame the society, we blamed our family, blamed our past, thinking about all the “what if that didn’t/ did happen” “what if they didn’t/ do that thing to us”. Overthinking about situations, things that could go wrong. Overthinking how do we look from other people’s perspectives, forcing ourselves to do/say things to be liked, to be accepted. Fuck them if they don’t like us, fuck them if they laughed at us, fuck them if they treated us like shit. “What do you want your book to look like?” Defeated by a couple of idiots that doesn’t even care about you? Surrendered because of a fear created by a scenario *made up in your own head* ? Given up because a few failures? Fear of judgements by narrow-minded families? Nope. I want my book to be something worth remembering. Something to be proud of when the book is closed, to be read again in the end. Either it’ll be long or a short story, it better be a motherfucking goddamn legend.
Learning is easier when it’s not forced on you... especially when you are older and you have your trade and life tied down... when it is a need and a must to be able to get somewhere at a young age it’s far more difficult to be able to do because it is a forced narrative that you have to do and that doesn’t fit into human nature
muddi funstar learning is easier when you are young because your brain is more adaptable. You need good parents to get you to focus on school. School gets you good jobs. Talent gets you better ones, but you need school to get your foot in the door. If you don't need school to get a job then anyone can get that job, not just you.. Don't be a loser and waste your life because you don't prove anything by flunking.
Well I agree with you to some extent but you try to make it very black and white here when it’s more of a grey area. Schools should teach how the stock markets work right? No because they need the factory workers more at least before A.I. takes that position. School as the gentleman says here certainly will get you into college and university... which is a great and important part of a young persons life, for the social aspect as much as furthering and specialising in that individuals favourite or necessary subjects. Is it really statistically a fully 100% way into a great job in this day and age? If you were honest to yourself and all the young people reading this you know the answer is no. You know the answer is that these days being a “yes sir/madam” no questions asked type of person or someone who is willing to completely sell out on their values and principles is what gets you the “great job” schools needs to teach how to be an entrepreneur at school age and survival skills like the army do and so much more!!!! when there mind is fresh and young and as you say, and their brains are at a better stage to learn. Does the system we are born into make the things I have mentioned and so much more? No that is down to the parents to do ... most parents don’t have the time or energy for that. School is underperforming in every country.... why limit a young brain to the boring, non-creative subjects that they have in the 1st world societies across the world? Maths, double/triple science that you are told is all bs and needs to be re-learned again when you get to college, English, 1 or 2 languages, music, drama, history, geography, sports, art, craft and technology and a few more all of which are severely limited at school level. Why? Maybe to be uninspiring? You tell me Einstein xoxo 😘
muddi funstar you have two conflicting ideas, that you need to explain before I read it all... You start with believing that school won't teach you about the stock market because it needs Factory workers (fair point) but then you talk about a bunch of weird shit that a factory worker doesn't need to know at the end. School is about demonstrating intelligence, not learning how to code or work a machine. It's an elitist education program that is made available to everyone... So everyone has a chance to walk the easy street of white collar work... If a child squanders that, that's on them and their parents. The maths I need at work is taught by 7th grade. Basic algebra. Why did I need Shakespeare? Because I needed to be pushed to work out if I was college material. Gifted people don't need school. But we give everyone the chance to avoid Factory work, if they want... Learning is much harder when you are older, it's just easier to be motivated because you understand the goal better... Older people are much more stressed by life to be learning school work easily wet with a baby and a job.
Xplora213 school just gets you to some miserable 9 to 5 job that you get sick of after 5 years, then you get comfortable, by that point its too late to take risks, by this point youre complaibing about mondays and your job that you studied so hard for
Robert L you need to get a few more years and kids under your belt. Maybe a wife and a mortgage. I get it, but life is not about what you want to do, it is what you have to do. And if you can't perform well enough at school, which is easy for smart people, you probably aren't going to be smart enough to succeed elsewhere. The highly successful college dropouts still got to college, true? I fucking haaaaaated school, but I was damn good at it anyway and I never learnt how to use it for my benefit. Hopefully you guys can benefit from my experience...
@Suffer No Fools Idc what celebrity you name they all earned there spot there are countless people that have started out with nothing and worked hard and became rich your comment is the most blatantly jealous comment ive ever seen..
"Your biggest enemy is you" "Internet is allowed people to skip steps 1 to 30 allowed people to jump skip to 100" As a 17 year old teen having a social anxiety and being depressed in life It hit me really hard. Very inspiring podcast with kevin hart It teach me to go in a state of "WHY NOT" , "give 100% in anything everything you do, not be better than other people but be the best version of yourself" definitely last but not the least is "Dont quit start what you finish" Now I know why he's so successful in life.
Living your life and focusing on the book your creating is honestly how I've looked at my life. I've been a D1 athlete on almost a full ride. After a nervous breakdown I decided to quit that sport and I took on boxing and went 5-0 with 4 Knockouts. Tore an ACL so then I focused on my career as a 3D animator and compositor. Worked on Creed, Marshall, Power and several other films and shows. After 7 years the company I was with went bankrupt but I stuck to the grind and now I am a Buffalo Firefighter and an electrician. And before all of that I was a troubled kid and been thru absolute wars growing up. From honestly around 100 street fights and just an insane childhood to a nervous breakdown where I didn't think I'd ever come back from. I'm still working on my book and hope I can write a fucking awesome one lol. Love you Kevin Hart and Joe. This interview has been great.
@@Stylez_8 if your in school work on your demo reel. If your graduated work on your reel lol. And learn learn learn, everything's online. It's hard work but I love it.
Holy fuck. this comment is gonna push me to get out of bed and go to the fucking gym when i don’t feel like it. it’s gonna push me to run my last mile instead of walking it. it’s gonna push me to train harder than ever while other people my age are at parties. if you still found a way to flip a positive after all that i salute you and i thank you. you just gave me the last reason i’ll ever need to never fucking give up again!
I finally got sober at 45 and have steadily rebuilt a better life for myself and now I'm helping to raise my granddaughter. I'm generally happy and have meaning in my life. Kevin has given me a lot to think about today and I'm inspired to be, think and do better. To be more positive and reach farther. Thanks Kevin and Joe.
Money allows him to hire help so that he can start things off at a larger scale than others who don't have the money, but the knowledge is there for anyone that seeks it. You can go take a class and read up on anything you want to try and most things can be started off on a small scale from a home. All it takes is ambition and dedication.
Comedy takes balls of steel and humility and an honesty about your value to the audience. That's what allows him to succeed. I doubt must of us will have the guts to do that. If you don't then you can't be surprised you don't get the same results.
If you are happy doing those things then more power to you! But, if you don't like those things and have been wanting to change, then you are your biggest enemy. You are 100% responsible for your life.
Why not create a business to capitalize on people who like "sleeping in, eat too much junk food and watch way too much TV" since you're are already a pro at it? Make lemonade out of your lemons!
The guys/girls that made you mattress, bed, pillow, bedsheets would be happy to hear that you appreciate your bed so much Same goes for junk food chefs and TV stars.
One thing I enjoy about this video in particular is how very clever both Joe Rogan and Kevin Hart are. They both inspire one person to the next. Both in their own personal way. Great talk!
Enjoyed this episode but I do not like how he claims to write a book yet has a ghost writer actually writing the book. Having that much money you can be good at so many things because you can pay people to do those things for you. This was very positive but that kind of bothered me.
The candor and authenticity just shines from Kevin. Everything is straight from his heart, which is why it is so easy for him to express himself. He doesn't have to think about what he should say, or how something is going to sound or come across, it is written already on his heart. They should play this episode in every school in the country. I would love to see how many students would comment ten years from now how listening to this changed their direction, motivation and actions. Kevin Heart the real deal, and as always bravo to Joe rogan for creating this platform for so many unbelievable guests.
Being a 21 year old, already dropout of high school and college and am still doing college. I don't wanna give up or stop my education but am just too lazy. Am really lost but this gives me hope and courage and it just woke me up man
There has been massive *Social Conditioning* & Media Smearing towards Kayne to the point were no one takes him seriously It's pretty sad. Those lack critical Thinking and Intuition can't see past the walls Mainstream Media puts up
Nah, nigga be saying some wild dumb shit too. And he had no business in fashion, he had too much ego and not enough experience nor capital or following for them wack ass clothes to be THAT expensive. Plus nigga said slavery was a choice. But the nigga got 21 Grammys. So...
It's not what you say but how you say it. You can recieve kevins message because of the way he says it, kanye turns you off while speaking this defeating his mission
Yea same here, he jus gave me possibly one of greatest epiphany’s of my life and I’m so glad that I got to hear this at such a young age and understand it
"the one given his book in his right hand will say 'look! Read my book! I used to know we were going to be judged on this Day. So he will live a happy life, in a high garden. But the one given his book in his left hand will say; Damn! I wish I wasn't given my book. I wish I didn't face this Judgment (Day). I wish this was my end.. "Seize him! And put him in a fire." Quran 69 Quran.com/69/19-52
the problem with school is they make you read books that you dont want to read. I was forced to read shakespeare books from 5th grade all the way to the college. Make me hate books until i found self help books. Have changed my life since
SUUUUUCHHH an INSPIRATION Kevin!!! Damn!! 🔥🔥🔥👏🏻👌🏻🙏🏻😊💝😁😎🤗🙌🏻☺️😌👏🏻😁‼️❣️💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾🤴🏾👑❤️ Thank you thank you thank you for this podcast and for all your words of wisdom!! Loved this podcast sooo damn much!
I can’t really trust what Kevin says after he told the breakfast club straight up “ I don’t cheat, what for? I love my wife.. blah blah blah” all that preaching .. then a month later he caught on tape cheating.
He is also fucking human he will fuck up not the first and will not be the last. So if you expect the people who motivat you to be perfect you will never be motivated.
Life goes on man, that’s facts. Life is what it is, put yourself out there, put yourself out of your comfort zone, if you fail you fail, but at least you tried. It’s better than being sat at home doing nothing whilst others go and push themselves to be their best version, just do you! Do what scares you and on the other side of that feeling that is fear, is the person you TRULY NEED TO BE. Love & peace to everyone who reads this comment. 🙏🏼❤️🙌🏼
young man It’s beginning to freak me out. I can’t help but remember that time when he had Greg Fitzsimmons on, they were talking about underaged girls and The whole time Joe was moaning like a wounded elk.
I love this! And I never hated Kevin yeah I got a little bored of seeing him on the spotlight but I never hated the man. And after watching the his podcast I will forever have respect for this human being.
If you're a kid and watching these videos you're probably more woke than the entirety of the other 99% at your school. Wish I was wiser at a younger age. Because I have raw intelligence, just never had the drive or the common sense to know what was good for me in the long-term.
That's not a regret. Because done differently again I'd still be the same way, cause that was my attitude. But I'm lucky for a lot of stuff too... Just saying if you're reading this and you are younger, take it on board and push harder. Because you're already halfway there...
Sometimes it's the message, sometimes it's the messenger. Joe nailed it at 11:25 This was brilliant. Incredibly relatable. Love Kevin Hart. This guy gets life.
What if you die and then wake up one day drooling waking up from sleeping and having a pen in your hand and a whole bunch of pages writing a book just for you to start writing a book about the “life you lived”
