Kevin Keegan was a god to me as a kid. He was one good lookin' rooster but tough as nails and had skills and determination that were out of this world. Some of those headed goals in the vid are extraordinary.

I was on the Kop on his debut for Liverpool. He scored of course! He certainly knew where the goal was.

KK had the heart of a lion - and he was never afraid to go where it hurt. He was blessed with skill and a work rate (he always gave everything) and an amazing power wrapped up in a small frame. It became fashionable for certain people to mock him (you know who you are) but what a player to have on your side! Scored many great goals for the Reds before he left for Hamburg - they loved him there too. YNWA..

Happy 70th Birthday to the best footballer in Europe of the 70s. Kevin Keegan will remain the greatest Liverpool Legend of all time for many more generations. Sad that Dalglish replaced him after 1977 and he had to go to Hamburg. 🎂🎁💕⚽⚽

I am 52 years old and man u fan tru and tru but kevin keegan is one of my favourite player during his playing days with liverpool. He went to hamburg and became twice the european player of the year 1979 and 1980 if not mistaken. Such a marvellous player he was.

Keegan will always be in our hearts. To me he was the first and only thoroughly successful English (football) export! Shame that the way things turned out for England in the 70s to early 80s he didn't get a chance to shine in a World Cup

I'm a Costa Rican who knows a little about soccer, but enough to know that soccer was unfair with Keegan. For Germany 74, he had to dispute a space with Poland. Poland won. Poland ended third in that World Cup. Those were the golden times of polish soccer. For Argentina 78, he had to dispute a space with Italy. Italy won. Italy ended fourth in that World Cup. And, when he did qualified for a World Cup (Spain 82) and could have a shot to prove his great quality to the entire World, he got injured. He was too old for Mexico 86. That makes me sad, because I know that you English consider him one of the greatest in history, and you English know a lot about soccer. Pele recognized him as one of the best in history (the famous FIFA 100 list). It's too sad that he is almost only known inside England. Life gets cruel sometimes. But I believe that people who really know about soccer history, who are the people that matter the most, have him in mind.

It's a crying shame that Keegan does not wish to affiliate himself with any of the former clubs he played for, especially LFC where he spent 6 years at. No such modern documentary exists of him revisiting Anfield meeting Klopp or current squad, he's never been a modern ambassador for the club, never featured for any LFC Legends games and continues to keep his distance.
