The entire millennial, Gen Z, as well as a considerable portion of political Gen Xers needs that. Plus, it’s a creative way to be able to highlight corruption, and critique bad politics in your opponents, and keep the parties more honest and pushing more to the left.

It only covers elected officials, which McCarthy is not. Also, the speech has to be made in the context of carrying out official duties. A political opponent would be hard pressed to prove that saying Gaetz paid for sex with a minor was a necessary part of their job.

Wrong the speech only has to be on the floor of the Senate or the house. Does not have to do with anything else of their capacities they could go into classified briefing, come out and give a speech on the floor of everything they heard. And they could not be prosecuted. They won’t get classified.
