My wife passed away on April 6, 2019 to cancer after a 2 year battle 2 days after our Anniversary. We were married for 47 years with 5 children and lots of grandchildren. I love her and miss her so freaking much. RIP My Love Celia Edmondson, Love Your Husband Melvin

One of my favorite concert memories. I was living in Pittsburgh and was waiting in line to see Colin Raye and Gary Allen in concert at Station Square. This song came on over the load speaker and everybody stopped talking and started singing. It was an awesome moment.

Chris Witmer actually I read he passed away from complication from surgery that was due to the part of all the chemo he had from cancer.its sad to loose a great artist but what he did in life was more important.If you listen to his song MAKE A WISH Kevin was an advocate for MAKE A WISH.
Sharon Dahl you’re right, he died from complications from the medication and chemo he had to endure all those yrs when he was battling cancer. He was best friends with my ex and we had many a good time, I’ll never forget his voice. He is dearly missed.

When my dad passed away my brother would listen to this every day, he would drink and cry and start it over again. It’s been 12 years since he passed away and every time I hear this I think about him playing this because all he could think about was he lost his best friend 😢
I lost my dad to cancer almost 2 years ago. He asked that we not get lost in our grief because his brother did that exact thing when his mother passed too early. His brother didn't survive his grief. I hope you're all doing well currently

42 yrs later mine still calls/texts. We traveled the world together then lost touch for a couple of years in the 80’s. We never lost hope but the same & ONLY problem exists - I am NOT moving out West & he won’t move down South. I told him this would be the problem the first week I met him. He even doesn’t like it there - but I will always love it HERE!
June 2021. RIP Kevin. I was a kid when this song came out. I remember a year later wanting to go to his concert, and my sister told me that the show was canceled due to his battle with cancer. That's how I found out about it. I had a lot of questions, but always loved his music. Since then, cancer has taken several friends. I'm sorry for those that knew him, but I believe he in a much better place, and all of his battles are won. God rest your soul.

I have been a fan since...and he is a hero to me too, with all his struggles he had to endure and overcome. This Song brings back some painful memories from my past with my first husband.It was good while it lasted and the love will always be here for him cause we share a beautiful daughter.But things happen for a reason and I know I hurt him at one time in his life for that I'm sorry.But i will never be sorry for leaving him and going back to my first love who I ended up marring we have a u handsome Son I loved him since I was 14 till he died at 40 I'm almost 50 now I've been through alot in my life done some things I regret but that's just part of life.Life goes on I have a wonderful Man now who loves me and I plan on being with him till the end i love him alot we been through alot I just want to say love hurts at times but it also is the best feeling in the world with the right person I've been lucky I have loved 3 Men in my life and for that I'm grateful.Life is hard and love is even harder..

I got to see Kevin perform live, at the Puyallup Fair in Washington, many years ago. The Puyallup Fair is, basically, the "Washington State Fair". My "baby" sister and I were there to see John Michael Montgomery. But Kevin was the first act, followed by Ricochet, and then JMM. Kevin made all of the guys in his band take off their "stage" shirts, to reveal that they were all wearing Seattle Mariners T-shirts underneath. And he actually came out into the audience. He stepped right up the aisle next to where my sister and I were sitting, and stood behind us to sing. RIP, Kevin, you were one of the good ones :)

My wife of over 52 years passed away two weeks ago today, we both loved listening to Kevin's version of this song... it makes me feel better just listening to him sing and remember the feelings we shared when we listened to it!
If there ever was a song that describes my life right now it would be this one. My wife passed away of cancer in April of last year. She took my heart with her and I’ve haven’t been the same since ! She was the love of my life we were meant for each other and we knew from the first day we met that we were going to spend the rest of our lives together. God blessed me with an angel and we had a loving 15 years together that I thought would never come to an end. If we are supposed to have a loving God then I keep asking myself why he would take something so precious away from me and just about destroy my life because I’ll never find anyone else in this world that I could love the way I loved my wife. Well. I guess the good Lord wasn’t finished making my life a living hell because I was diagnosed with a golf ball size cyst on my brain which was removed last January and since then I’ve had seizures at least 3 or 4 times a week and headaches that would put a normal person on their knees. I’ve gone through major depression and I have PTSD from serving 15 years in the Marines and being wounded 3 times! You would think that after all of this things would change for the better for me, Like Kevin Sharp, may he now be singing to my wife in heaven and all the angels watching over each and every one of us, Nobody Knows But Me!

he didn't die of cancer. this is from his web site Kevin died due to ongoing complications from past stomach surgeries and digestive issues. I had the pleasure of meeting him in 1997 thanks to a trip i won to then what was known as Fan Fair from a radio station i listen to nearby from where i live. he was such a sweetheart and will be truly missed.

In 1996 I was 14 years old in a cancer ward with no chance of getting out. One of the nurses gave me his CD. I could sing every song by heart long before I left the hospital.
Kevin Your music is like the sounds that would come from heaven .. You will be missed but your up there with God now.. and I am sure he would agree with me how the angels dance to your music even in heaven.
