I'm from the states and not familiar with Slough but he said it was like New Jersey where he grew up which would suggest that Slough smells like the trash bins outside a seafood market in the dead of summer, maybe? lol
Slough's no different to many other places in the UK, has it's shithole parts but also some pretty decent places, good location too. Loads of more scenic places too in other parts of the country though of course. Good to know Kevin Smith still ain't a snob and stayed in Slough :)
Kevin Smith is a lovely person, and he's really good when it comes to interviews. Some folks never get into the groove or come across plastic, see through, or even hostile. But every single one of his interviews I've seen he's so relaxed, pleasant, and in control of the conversation.
This makes me so happy; two of my favorite people in existence chatting? I could watch these two for hours! And I was really interested in hearing Kevin Smith’s take on Harvey after everything because he’s so honest and open, so I like Russell asking.
Seriously I could just listen to Kevin Smith all day. It's genuinely crazy how people think of him as Silent Bob yet in real life he talks more than anyone I've ever known lol
That's so true. He wrote Jay's character for himself, but then thought it through, and switched character with Jason. His facial expressions in the movies were eloquent enough, and also couldn't imagine a better Jay than Jason.
Russell Howard has to be the current best interviewer, this and the Tyson fury interview brilliant. I wish more hosts were like him, do the research and ask the right questions but most importantly let the guest speak. Bloody brilliant
That's cause they didn't pay for distribution. Basically the only way to see it was while they were touring with the movie. Not sure if they'll do a wider release.
The first part reminded me; when I lived in England, some of the locals would go all out on 4th of July with fireworks and food. They called it “British Thanksgiving Day.” It was all in good fun/humor. It still makes me smile.
Knowing how much Kevin likes to talk, I wonder how much of the interview had to be cut. And also, props to the editor for making it look like a coherent interview!
Man you should do a podcast or something with him. I reckon you would have a decent real conversation. Kevin Smith is so open and genuine the world needs more people like him.
I wouldn't go that far but it is truly excellent. Never thought I'd see these two together and I definitely wouldn't mind more. This was too short for these two. Russ should get a full interview with him.

People forget that when you lose that much weight, you have a lot of loose skin. You don't feel good in tight clothes. He was hiding his body before he lost weight, and he will probably be hiding it for a long time, but at least he'll live to see it now.
When you are doing something that makes you healthier and it helps the planet and less animals die of course we vegans are going to want to share this. I have personally helped 1,000's go vegan.

I saw him on the Reboot Roadshow in Nashville Tennessee, I sat front row, center seat so when he came out to into the movie and do the Q&A he was less than 10 ft from me. He is even more charming and fun in person!
OMG, sooo True. He was on Colbert the other night, sat down and immediately started telling a story and Stephen never had to say a thing lol He couldn't get a question in. He was nervous in this one... did you see him sweating? I think his buzz wore off.
I met kevin Smith just today, at the airport in the UK, he passed through the first class section and I checked his ticket. Very nice and cool guy. A lady who works with me asked him where he was going and he said he was going to LA. And the lady who worked with me asked him good places to go in LA as she had a stop over , and he gave her lots of tips. And slough ...hahaha I'm uh from there

Yeah, Ben and Matt couldn’t get the movie made so Kevin gave the script to Harvey Weinstein and that’s how he got the credit...Ben and Matt regret forgetting to thank Kevin at the Oscars though.
Kevin Smith is just such an awesome bloke. He's so down to earth and just comes across as a really decent person. I'm so gutted I couldn't make it to see this movie, there was just no way I could afford it, especially with the travel, right before xmass as all my spare money has got to go on presents for my kids. I would have really loved to go to the Q&A as well. Such a shame as I really would have liked to support the movie. I will have to pay to stream it if it's available on RU-vid or something sometime next year. I wish him all the best and hope it does amazing though. He really does deserve it, defo my favourite 'Hollywood' dude fr!

Karina Peters depends. There’s plenty of comics and fanbases that like dry humour in America, particularly in the NY scene. People always try to cancel the good ones though.

It's nothing to do with country, though. There are plenty of American audiences that "miss" Smith/Garman's hollywood babble on podcast humour. There are plenty of UK audiences that "miss" John Cleese and "British" style humour.
Have you seen those young Russell comedians they've got nowadays, have you seen them? They're on all those panel shows, those young Russell comedians, nephews of BBC producers I think, they're just happy to be there.
